Book Dismantling the Negative Zone

Download or read book Dismantling the Negative Zone written by Arthur Jicha, Jr. and published by . This book was released on 2022-04-07 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are many things about this book that are amazing. One of them was Father's and my analysis of the tones and pulsations they use to control the human victim. Amazarak, a sorcerer angel, who is a Cherubim, came into the connection. He told me he was 4'9", but Father told me he was 4'7". Despite his lack of height, he was a powerhouse, definitely a 10 on the power scale of 1-10. Angels and giants have the ability to morph. Amazarak's alter-ego was to look like a skeleton. When I first saw him I told him, 'Happy Halloween.' He was a strange individual! He also told me he could beat Father in a battle. Really?! Wow!! Samyaza (Satan) came back into the connection, masquerading as Anane, a soldier angel that had also come into the connection. Samyaza gave us a very amusing interview. He didn't think so, but Father and I did. It still makes me smile how he tried to fool us, pretending to be someone else. Azkeel, fallen archangel was called-in because I was talking to the female demons in the clan that was assigned to me; he told me not to talk to his females. He did not like the fact that I would speak to them about love, and about Father, and getting saved. His threat didn't work so well; I talked to them anyway, ROFL! The interview I did with the 4 females from that clan was amazing. It was a very good example of some of their social interaction. This book is the breakdown of their science and explains how they attack us and ultimately get us sent to Hades. Here is another thing to consider is this as you read: As I write, they are physically looking over my shoulder. They squeal, huff and screech as I type something they don't like. Those things you need to cast aside and keep moving ahead, no matter how much they dissent. This book cuts them to pieces. With what they have done to Father and his kids, they deserve it!!

Book Zones of Peace in the Third World

Download or read book Zones of Peace in the Third World written by Arie M. Kacowicz and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 1998-09-17 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: International relations scholars have traditionally focused on explaining war rather than peace, resulting in the concept of peace being understudied and underemphasized. This book in contrast explains the maintenance of extensive periods of international peace in two regions of the Third World: South America and West Africa. The term "zones of peace" has been used in reference to the Cold War (1945–1989) and to separate peace among the democracies developed progressively throughout the last two hundred years. In this book, however, Kacowicz moves beyond a European focus to consider the theoretical and historical significance of the term in the context of the Third World. He argues that there have been periods of "long peace," so that zones of peace, characterized by the absence of interstate war, have developed in South America since the late 1880s and among the West African countries since their independence in the early 1960s. Kacowicz explores how regional peace is maintained in South America and West Africa through the distilling of alternative explanations, including Realism, Liberalism, and satisfaction with the territorial status quo. He also examines how peace can be maintained among states that usually do not sustain Western democratic regimes by offering a critique (and improvement) upon the "democratic peace" theory. Peace can indeed be maintained, he asserts, among nondemocratic states, although there is a direct relationship between the quality of the regional peace and the type of political regimes sustained by the countries in any given region.

Book Blast Corrupt Dismantle Erase

Download or read book Blast Corrupt Dismantle Erase written by Brett Josef Grubisic and published by Wilfrid Laurier Univ. Press. This book was released on 2014-06-16 with total page 487 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What do literary dystopias reflect about the times? In Blast, Corrupt, Dismantle, Erase, contributors address this amorphous but pervasive genre, using diverse critical methodologies to examine how North America is conveyed or portrayed in a perceived age of crisis, accelerated uncertainty, and political volatility. Drawing from contemporary novels such as Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, and the work of Margaret Atwood and William Gibson (to name a few), this book examines dystopian literature produced by North American authors between the signing of NAFTA (1994) and the tenth anniversary of 9/11 (2011). As the texts illustrate, awareness of and deep concern about perceived vulnerabilities—ends of water, oil, food, capitalism, empires, stable climates, ways of life, non-human species, and entire human civilizations—have become central to public discourseover the same period. By asking questions such as “What are the distinctive qualities of post-NAFTA North American dystopian literature?” and “What does this literature reflect about the tensions and contradictions of the inchoate continental community of North America?” Blast, Corrupt, Dismantle, Erase serves to resituate dystopian writing within a particular geo-social setting and introduce a productive means to understand both North American dystopian writing and its relevant engagements with a restricted, mapped reality.

Book Why the Homeless Have No Chance

Download or read book Why the Homeless Have No Chance written by Jeffrey Grunberg and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2020-06 with total page 302 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Comprising a number of short essays, 'Why the Homeless Have No Chance: The Dismantling of Success' documents a sociological journey through the homeless services industry and describes today's wrong-headed approach to this lingering social problem. Told from the vantage point of thirty years of personal experience helping homeless people in a number of settings, these adventures largely took place in midtown Manhattan in the early 90's. Over a seventeen-year period, our singularly successful approach was dismantled "slow-mo" by way of political advocacy and media complicity. We had decried the housing approach, frustrated that it was going nowhere, instead calling for employment programming. However, what is referred to as "The Board," the putative head of the homeless industry, would have none of it. We were accused of heinous crimes, all made up. For it all, even after those charges were proven to be "fanciful," the damage had been done - we were taken down and our funding went right into the coffers of The Board, while the homeless, unemployed again, were back on the street. Never told were the reasons for what one investigator called our "unparalleled success." Why were we able to bring thousands of homeless men and women indoors? Why were we able to help so many into employment? What can be done to stem today's tide of homelessness? Our programs drew the attention of a number of important New Yorkers, pro and con among them, but in the end, they came to a halt. While this is a story that was partially documented in the media, staccato style, still it has remained a story never fully told.

Book Autonomy and Demilitarisation in International Law The land Islands in a Changing Europe

Download or read book Autonomy and Demilitarisation in International Law The land Islands in a Changing Europe written by Horn and published by Martinus Nijhoff Publishers. This book was released on 2023-09-14 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Åland Islands constitute a very special case in international law. This island territory under Finland's sovereignty has been demilitarised and neutralised for more than one hundred and forty years and autonomous for more than seventy years. In 1921 the Council of the League of Nations laid down international guarantees for the autonomy and the Swedish character of Åland, and a multilateral convention on Åland's demilitarisation and neutralisation was concluded in the same year. The convention is still in force and Åland's autonomy is firmly anchored in both customary international law and Finnish constitutional law. This volume is the first to comprehensively analyse Åland's international legal status. Coverage of its articles includes: analyses of the status and content of Åland's autonomy, military issues, and the relationship between Åland and the EU. The solution achieved for Åland may provide a valuable model of autonomy. This book is important not only for experts and students of international law, but for anyone concerned with territorial autonomy as a possible means for enhancing political rights of minorities.
