Fondata nel settembre 1988, con atto costitutivo, e la stesura di uno statuto vidimato presso l'Ufficio del Registro, che ne disciplina il funzionamento, è tutt'oggi operante con i medesimi intenti e base filosofiche. Presidente dell'associazione fin dai primi anni 90 è Marco Gottardo, rinnovato all'incarico su elezione, tenutasi all'assemblea ordinaria dei soci a settembre 2012, per il prossimo biennio. Questo testo raccoglie le tavole di disegno e tutte le nozioni necessarie per superare l'esame di istituzioni di disegno presso l'ateneo di Padova.

From Geometric Modeling to Shape Modeling comprises the proceedings of the seventh GEO workshop, which was sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and held in Parma, Italy in October 2000. The workshop looked at new paradigms for CAD including the evolution of geometric-centric CAD systems, modeling of non-rigid materials, shape modeling, geometric modeling and virtual prototyping, and new methods of interaction with geometric models. The seventeen included papers provide an interesting overview of the evolution of geometric centric modeling into shape modeling. Questa attenzione, unita alle capacità imprenditoriali e alla diffusione della tecnologia Linotype, fece sì che a partire dagli anni Cinquanta i suoi caratteri ebbero largo impiego in ogni ambito della stampa in Italia: dal Delia, progettato per gli elenchi telefonici, al Garamond Simoncini, impiegato dalle edizioni Einaudi a partire dal 1960, e divenuto il carattere più emblematico e rappresentativo dell’editoria italiana del dopoguerra. E ancora oggi alcuni dei suoi caratteri, anche se creati per una tecnologia ormai obsoleta, sono noti e apprezzati in tutto il mondo. Anche come imprenditore Simoncini si distinse per le sue iniziative originali, sempre attente a valorizzare il contributo dei collaboratori e dei dipendenti. Alla fine della guerra, era riuscito a trasformare la piccola officina paterna di riparazioni per Linotype in una grande industria internazionale per la progettazione e produzione di caratteri. La sua attenzione si estese anche al di fuori dell’azienda assumendo ruoli di rilievo in associazioni di settore e impegnandosi nella formazione dei giovani tecnici e nella standardizzazione della tecnologia. Il catalogo è arricchito dai contributi di Antonio Cavedoni, disegnatore di caratteri, e Elisa Rebellato, studiosa di storia dell’editoria. I loro saggi ripercorrono sia la vicenda biografica e imprenditoriale di Francesco Simoncini che l’analisi dei principali caratteri prodotti dalle Officine Simoncini. This question is the rationale of the human motion analysis, a general term regarding the automatic description and understanding of human movements. The technology supporting the analysis of human motion has advanced dramatically in the last decades, permitting to capture data rapidly, accurately and efficiently. From this perspective, movement analysis can be a useful tool in several research fields; specifically, applications in clinics and sports will be discussed in the following chapters. The main objective of this book is to propose novel protocols, algorithms, post processing procedures or indices to enhance the potential of human motion analysis performed with robotic devices or wearable sensors in rehabilitation robotics, clinics and sports. The book is divided in two main parts, the first one concerning the robotic devices and the second one focused on the wearable sensors. In particular, novel procedure to assess the spasticity severity in children with Cerebral Palsy by using a mechatronic robot for the ankle joint, the evaluation of the effectiveness of a laboratory-made active orthosis for knee and ankle rehabilitation using specific kinematic and spatio-temporal indices, as well as novel algorithm for performing automatic gait partitioning and activity recognition in real-time will be discussed.
