Con el rediseño de la prensa hidráulica tipo CDM 80-1 (LD 80) del taller de máquinas herramientas de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, se busca una alternativa para satisfacer las necesidades que se requieren en el taller de máquinas herramientas de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, ya que en este se desarrollan pruebas de doblez en piezas soldadas sin tener algún control de las variables. En el primer paso se tomaron los catálogos y especificaciones de placa para tener un conocimiento más detallado del funcionamiento y de cada uno de sus componentes. A partir de este punto se adquirieron documentos relacionados con la hidráulica básica, electrohidráulica y electrónica, ya que en estos documentos se encuentran todos los conceptos necesarios para el desarrollo del trabajo. Una vez conocida toda la informacion referente al nuevo diseño, se hizo una breve descripción de la prensa hidráulica en su estado actual, realizando el levantamiento del plano hidráulico. En la segunda etapa del diseño se hicieron las innovaciones tecnológicas que permiten un manejo más seguro, cómodo y preciso, haciendo uso de los conceptos adquiridos durante la primera fase. Para que este proyecto pueda tener alguna viabilidad, se mostró un funcionamiento previo usando un software de ingeniería y llevando a cabo en los laboratorios de mecatrónica del SENA una demostración del mismo con resultados óptimos para una posterior implementación de este rediseño.
