Chapter 1 includes a description of the purpose, goals and rationale for the project. Chapter 2 establishes the biblical and theological foundation for integrating personal evangelism and social outreach training by examining in detail Jesus' acts of personal evangelism. First, four separate texts from God's Word are discussed in order to demonstrate the biblical necessity to personally evangelize. Chapter 3 focuses on the theoretical outside sources that pertain to the concept of personal evangelism and social outreach. To achieve the goal, this chapter contains content that focuses on various methodologies, techniques, to sharing one's faith within an urban context. It lays the groundwork for some key perspectives in community outreach, Christian community development. This chapter centers on the interaction between personal evangelism, social outreach, the urban church, and its community. Chapter 4 depicts the project's set up and fifteen-week process. By outlining the project in detail, this chapter allows someone to duplicate what has been done at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Herndon, Virginia. This chapter shows the transition from biblical and theological to practical implementation. Chapter 5 describes in detail the evaluation of the project. The evaluation is a summation of the surveys that were given and other credible feedback that added to the effectiveness of the project. Chapter 5 addresses the strengths, weakness, and changes of the goals set forth at the beginning of the project and examine whether or not the participants has developed through the process.

Through these passages the focus is upon the concept of various methods being used to present the same unchanging gospel. Chapter 2 also addresses accountability partners. Chapter 3 focuses on the various outside sources that pertain to the concept of fluid personal evangelism though personal covenants. To achieve the goal, this chapter contains content that focuses on various methodologies to sharing one's faith with another. It lays the ground work for some key apologetical uses within sharing and defending one's faith. This chapter centers on the interaction between various methods of evangelism and the ability to uses several methods at any given time to share the gospel. Chapter 4 depicts the project's set up. By outlining the project in detail and sharing the process that is followed, this chapter allows someone to duplicate what has been done at Otter Creek First Baptist Church. This chapter shows the transition from theory and theology to practical application. Chapter 5 is a chapter of intense evaluation. The evaluation is a summation of the surveys that will be given and personal feedback that will come through the weekly meetings. Chapter 5 addresses the fulfillment of failure of the goals set forth at the beginning of the project and examine whether or not the church has matured in its faith.

Book excerpt: This project explored the historical evangelistic patterns and effectiveness of Southern Baptist Church Planters in Minnesota and Wisconsin and determined that Southern Baptists in Minnesota and Wisconsin have not experienced conversion growth commensurate with either the number of church plants attempted or the number of church planters deployed. In response to this problem, the project engaged select planters in an on-line Web-based evangelism training program that included assessment and praxis in six evangelistic approaches. The selected planters became more competent and intentional in practicing their own preferred evangelism style while understanding and valuing a team approach to evangelism that incorporates other viable styles.

It includes the context of the Vietnamese refugees, immigrants, and the second generations, as well as the history of Savannah Vietnamese Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Chapter 2 presents the biblical and theological foundation for the second generation to do evangelism, which includes Old and New Testament characters who were involved in second-generation evangelism, the way Jesus worked with the second generation, and some of the history after the time of the apostles. Chapter 3 provides a cross-cultural explanation for the project, mainly providing information about the Vietnamese people and their culture. It also deals with Eastern and indigenous religions, backgrounds, and the differences in worldviews between America and Vietnam, including the conflicts between the generations. Chapter 4 describes the development and implementation of the project, which covers three major sections: the Vietnamese seminar and teaching, second generation training and evangelizing, and the how the project was implemented. Chapter 5 presents an evaluation of the project. This chapter includes an evaluation of goals, strategy, the project's strengths and weaknesses after implementation, implication of the project applied to Savannah Vietnamese Baptist Church, and improvements for future application to other congregations that may have a similar situation.

Book excerpt: The purpose of the study is to develop and implement a Bible-based relational evangelism program at the Korean Baptist Church of Milwaukee, Greenfield, Wisconsin. For twelve weeks, twelve selected church members were trained in relational evangelism with the goal of applying the training into their daily lives. This project is designed to help revitalize Korean immigrant churches located in the small Korean population. Both interviews and questionnaires were utilized to assess the results. Through this project, the participants were able to do the followings: understand the gospel, revitalize the personal joy of salvation, be confident in evangelism and their personal testimony, understand relational evangelism strategies, and devote themselves to evangelism throughout their lives.
