Book Developing a Process for Christian Leaders

Download or read book Developing a Process for Christian Leaders written by Dr Johnny J. Boudreaux and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2009-12 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book will lower your excitement about religion but will intensify your pursuit to establish the kingdom here on earth. I never cease to be amazed at how so many who say they are followers of Jesus Christ can believe that Jesus has stopped forgiving, healing, and calling leaders into His vineyards when there is so much to do. This book is here to let everyone know that He (Jesus) has not returned yet, but His power still generates in those who have accepted Him as their Lord and savior and are willing to hold on to the faith. Leadership style does not mean that the agenda is different. Many leaders today are uncomfortable with the presence of another approach to ministry. It calls for us to observe that all the apostles had different styles in approaching situations and difficulties; yet, the ministry of Jesus was their priority alone. Leadership, just as everyone else, will have to make adjustments as long as leading is on the agenda and in process.

Book Developing the Leader s Heart

Download or read book Developing the Leader s Heart written by Bill Lawrence and published by Carpenter's Son Publishing. This book was released on 2020-08-04 with total page 144 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Developing the Leader's Heart serves to introduce Christian leaders to the process that Jesus used to develop His disciples to fulfill their calling. In doing so, readers will be challenged to look beyond leadership skills and understand the deeper work God wants to do in the heart of leaders in order to accomplish His purposes through them. Jesus began by seeking out twelve unqualified men. His training regimen was something the world had not imagined. He did not expound on the keys of leadership and organizational skills, instead He deconstructed their hearts, shaping them to lead in a whole new way--in a way that would transform lives and bring down kingdoms. These leaders were not merely coached by Jesus, they were formed by Him. In Developing the Leader's Heart the reader will discover truths about how Jesus formed unqualified leaders into world-changers and how God takes His leaders today through this same process in order to accomplish His deeper purposes in their hearts and lives. It gives clear biblical examples of how Jesus dealt with His leaders through moments of transformational truth and gives insight into how to overcome burnout, discouragement and other roadblocks of the leadership journey.

Board directors, church members, and staff alike are all eagerly seeking leaders who effectively integrate their spirituality and leadership. Pastors and executives, however, often struggle with knowing how to integrate their spiritual values and practices into their leadership and management roles. Designed for pastors, executives, administrators, managers, coordinators, and all who see themselves as leaders and who want to fulfill their God-given purpose, The Spirit-Led Leader addresses the critical fusion of spiritual life and leadership for those who not only want to see results, but who also desire to care just as deeply about who they are and how they lead as they do about what they produce and accomplish. Geoffrion creates a new vision for spiritual leadership as partly an art, partly a result of careful planning, and always a working of the grace of God

Book Establishing a Leadership Development Process for Gospel centered Multiplication at The Village Church Flower Mound Texas

Download or read book Establishing a Leadership Development Process for Gospel centered Multiplication at The Village Church Flower Mound Texas written by Justin Trevor Joy and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chapter 1 establishes the goals that encompass this project, provides important context to bring clarity to the need for a leadership development pipeline, addresses the challenges and complexities that exist at TVC, and gives a rationale for the role this project will serve to further the mission of TVC. The specific goals for this project were as follows: (1) to identify the core leadership competencies TVC desires to nurture in the lives of their members as they move from leading self to leading others to leading leaders, (2) to establish a unified language and process that maps out the development stages of a leader, content, processes, and environments necessary to transition leaders from one stage to another, and desired outcomes for each individual in their various sphere(s) of involvement, (3) and to create a functional pipeline for the identification, assessment, training, and releasing of leaders at TVC. Chapter 2 argues for the importance of creating a leadership development pipeline through providing a theological framework for a leaders path of development as exhibited through the New Testament. Though every Christian leader is distinct in scope and direction, each leader's formation and emergence follows a similar pattern. The stages of development established in this chapter as the development outline of Christian leaders are conversion, calling, challenge, and convergence. Through examining the life and development of the Apostle Paul, this chapter expounds on each trait to demonstrate how they paint a picture of the growth stages disciples' experience, as they become leaders in the church. Chapter 3 establishes a set of unified competencies and aligns those competencies with a set of components that map out the desired developmental lanes of a leader at The Village. The development competencies are identified through the utilization of TVC’s existing mission statement. Chapter 4 establishes the content and catalysts necessary to transition leaders from one stage (i.e., leading self, others, and leaders) to another, and creates a unified language and process to govern this pipeline. This is done by codifying the competencies and components of the leadership pipeline established in chapter 3 into a viable pipeline to serve The Village Church. Chapter 5 summarizes the argument made in this project for the creation of a leadership development pipeline at TVC, clarifies the implications that arose through the course of this project, and establishes the next steps to address these implications towards the successful implementation of the pipeline.
