Book Design Tool for Multiprocessor Scheduling and Evaluation of Iterative Dataflow Algorithms

Download or read book Design Tool for Multiprocessor Scheduling and Evaluation of Iterative Dataflow Algorithms written by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A graph-theoretic design process and software tool is defined for selecting a multiprocessing scheduling solution for a class of computational problems. The problems of interest are those that can be described with a dataflow graph and are intended to be executed repetitively on a set of identical processors. Typical applications include signal processing and control law problems. Graph-search algorithms and analysis techniques are introduced and shown to effectively determine performance bounds, scheduling constraints, and resource requirements. The software tool applies the design process to a given problem and includes performance optimization through the inclusion of additional precedence constraints among the schedulable tasks. Book A Comparison of Multiprocessor Scheduling Methods for Iterative Data Flow Architectures

Download or read book A Comparison of Multiprocessor Scheduling Methods for Iterative Data Flow Architectures written by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-06-27 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comparative study is made between the Algorithm to Architecture Mapping Model (ATAMM) and three other related multiprocessing models from the published literature. The primary focus of all four models is the non-preemptive scheduling of large-grain iterative data flow graphs as required in real-time systems, control applications, signal processing, and pipelined computations. Important characteristics of the models such as injection control, dynamic assignment, multiple node instantiations, static optimum unfolding, range-chart guided scheduling, and mathematical optimization are identified. The models from the literature are compared with the ATAMM for performance, scheduling methods, memory requirements, and complexity of scheduling and design procedures. Book Knowledge Reuse and Agile Processes Catalysts for Innovation

Download or read book Knowledge Reuse and Agile Processes Catalysts for Innovation written by Mitra, Amit and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2008-02-28 with total page 424 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innovation, agility, and coordination are paramount in the support of value in the global knowledge economy. Therefore, the long-term success of a company is increasingly dependent on its underlying resilience and agility. Knowledge Reuse and Agile Processes: Catalysts for Innovation addresses flexibility of both business and information systems through component technology at the nexus of three seemingly unrelated disciplines: service-oriented architecture, knowledge management, and business process management. Providing practitioners and academians with timely, compelling research on agile, adaptive processes and information systems, this Premier Reference Source will enhance the collection of every reference library.

Book Creating Agile Business Systems with Reusable Knowledge

Download or read book Creating Agile Business Systems with Reusable Knowledge written by A. Mitra and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2007-01-18 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Agility and innovation are necessary to achieve global excellence and customer value in twenty-first century business; yet most approaches to business process engineering sacrifice these in favor of operational efficiency and economics. Moreover, the IT systems used to automate and encapsulate business processes are unresponsive to the dynamic business environment. Mitra and Gupta provide insight to close this gap - showing how innovation can be systematized with normalized patterns of information, how business processes and information systems may be tightly aligned, and how these processes and systems can be designed to automatically adapt to change by reconfiguring shared patterns of knowledge. A modular approach to building business systems that parallels that of object oriented software is presented. Practical templates required for accelerating integration, analysis and design are provided. This book will appeal to consultants, analysts, and managers in IT as well as researchers and graduate students in business, management and IT.

Book Multiprocessor Systems on Chip

Download or read book Multiprocessor Systems on Chip written by Torsten Kempf and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-02-11 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book gives a comprehensive introduction to the design challenges of MPSoC platforms, focusing on early design space exploration. It defines an iterative methodology to increase the abstraction level so that evaluation of design decisions can be performed earlier in the design process. These techniques enable exploration on the system level before undertaking time- and cost-intensive development.

Book Multimedia Multiprocessor Systems

Download or read book Multimedia Multiprocessor Systems written by Akash Kumar and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2010-09-11 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern multimedia systems are becoming increasingly multiprocessor and heterogeneous to match the high performance and low power demands placed on them by the large number of applications. The concurrent execution of these applications causes interference and unpredictability in the performance of these systems. In Multimedia Multiprocessor Systems, an analysis mechanism is presented to accurately predict the performance of multiple applications executing concurrently. With high consumer demand the time-to-market has become significantly lower. To cope with the complexity in designing such systems, an automated design-flow is needed that can generate systems from a high-level architectural description such that they are not error-prone and consume less time. Such a design methodology is presented for multiple use-cases -- combinations of active applications. A resource manager is also presented to manage the various resources in the system, and to achieve the goals of performance prediction, admission control and budget enforcement.
