Download or read book Characteristics of Ruby Laser Light Beam and Power Output Measurement written by R. Chwalko and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The results of the author's research with ruby lasers of their own construction are presented; a description is given of the instrumentation, the details of construction, and of the engineering design for the preparation of the resonators. The recorded data are discussed as they pertain to the measurement of power output and the characteristics of the emitted light beam. (Author).

Book Simple Linear cavity TEM00 mode Mode locked Ruby Laser

Download or read book Simple Linear cavity TEM00 mode Mode locked Ruby Laser written by David L. Milam and published by . This book was released on 1971 with total page 6 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The authors have designed a simple linear-cavity laser that is passively mode-locked, using a ruby rod only 2.5 mm in diameter and 75 mm long, and have obtained TEM(00)-mode operation. The rod itself is the limiting aperture of the field. The individual mode-locked pulses have energies of 0.2 to 0.3 mJ and are of 20 to 25 psec duration. The energy in the total pulse train is approximately 3 mJ. The probability of obtaining a cleanly locked pulse train exceeds 0.8. A further advantage inherent in the system is that the smooth beam profile minimizes the frequency of mirror damage. (Author).
