Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this incredible age of increasing awareness and the rise of consciousness, where the intellect is craving to find the answers to the place and purpose of one's existence, we often find ourselves at an intersection of ancient texts and modern science, falling into an array of dichotomies. Decoding the Quran is a unique interpretation, which shows the integration of the two ways, highlighting non-duality of existence, and more importantly how the human being is an integral factor of this Oneness. It employs a holistic approach to the seemingly disconnected events, laws, edicts and commands of God, integrating this miraculous knowledge, to define how and why it is a concern to humans. What is the reality of a human being? Why is mankind reminded of their reality? What does the narrations of past events mean to us in our everyday? How should we understand the metaphors of the Quran? What is awaiting us after death? The answers to these questions, along with how man should understand the One denoted by the name Allah, are the most important and prominent topics covered in the Quran... Since the Quran addresses the whole of humanity throughout all ages as guidance to the truth, this particular construal has been done in the light of the realities of today.

Book excerpt: He who wants to observe the reality can do so even on a single verse... Whether that be a manifestation in worldly form or a literal verse encrypted in the Quran... For just as the part contains the whole, a single verse can be a gateway into endless realizations, both inward and outward... In this light, this tiny, yet very special selection and interpretation of verses by Ahmed Hulusi, released as a preliminary to Decoding the Quran, is like an invitation to man, to read and know himself... As only through a comprehensive knowledge of the self we have a real chance to know the One! So let us forego our predetermined conditionings and read as though we are reading for the very first time... Let us dive into this ocean of knowledge and melt away our constructs, fragmenting us from the Absolute One... Let us enter this portal, stripped from the falsity of our identities, and begin the enthralling journey from ourselves, to ourselves! ..". from the One we came, and to the One we shall return..." (Quran 2:156)
Download or read book Muhammad s Allah written by Ahmed Hulusi and published by . This book was released on 2012-05-02 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why not just Allah? Why Muhammad's Allah? This unique book explains that Allah is not a god (deity) and that this god-concept we have all come to embrace, as a result of misleading information and conditioning, is not the Allah expounded by Muhammad (saw). Everyone, from the most learned to the most ignorant, has a concept of God. A God that we love, get angry with, judge and even accuse, at times, for doing wrong by us! We imagine this God, who sits on a star in the heavens or dwells somewhere in space, to be like a benevolent paternal figure or a majestic sultan! Those with broader views (!) are well aware, of course, that such a God cannot exist and claim they do not believe in a God, proudly declaring themselves as atheists. Whereas, neither the aforementioned believers who postulate a God with their hearsay knowledge and conditionings, nor the atheists who deny and reject the idea of a God, have any awareness of Allah as explained by Muhammad (saw)! So what is the reality of Allah revealed by Muhammad (saw)? Muhammad (saw), who articulated the Quran to us, taught us there is no God, that there is only Allah; that there is a System present within life, by which those who fail to comply, are led to suffer the consequences of their own actions. If we live with the awareness of the existence of an afterlife, our primary concern should be to know Allah and the life awaiting us after death, so that we may prepare accordingly. Taking this into consideration, let us now try to understand the One denoted by the name Allah disclosed by Muhammad (saw).
Download or read book The Power of Prayer Channeling Brain Waves Through Dhikr written by Ahmed Hulusi and published by Power of Prayer of ICD-10 Diagnostic Medical Coding. This book was released on 2014-06-20 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Prayer is the weapon of a believer." - Muhammad (saw) Prayer is the act of actualizing one's wants through the divine powers present within. There is of course a scientific explanation to this act. Essentially prayer is 'guided brain waves.' Just as the dimension of knowledge transforms into energy and the quantum field to form the universe, the wants and desires of consciousness emanate from the dimension of knowledge to reveal themselves as the wants and desires of man and become actualized through the densification of guided brain waves. Due to this, the stronger the concentration level, the faster the response will be to the prayer. "And he who turns away from My dhikr (the absolute reality of which I have reminded him), indeed, he will have a restricted life (limited by the conditions of his body and mind), and We will resurrect him as blind in the period of Doomsday." Quran 20:124 Since only a very small percentage of the brain is employed while a large part of brain capacity remains unused, dhikr allows the activation of this larger percentage. The bio-electrical energy produced in specific regions in the brain via dhikr spreads to other regions and activates the dormant cells thereby increasing brain activity. Whatever the dhikr is about, the frequency corresponding to that meaning is emanated to the cells and thus brain capacity relevant to that particular meaning is increased.

Download or read book Signs of the Wali written by Tommy Christomy and published by ANU E Press. This book was released on 2008-04-01 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This thesis is a study of traditional narratives which are recited and received both by villagers and pilgrims in regard to the local pilgrimage (ziarah) tradition in Pamijahan, particularly at Shaykh Abdul Muhyi's sacred site. The narratives will be examined as part of the popular beliefs of Priangan Timur or the eastern part of West Java. Locating them in the wider context of Sundanese oral and written traditions, my investigation will illuminate the nature and function of such traditions in the particular case of Pamijahan. The research will elucidate the role of the kuncen, the custodians of sacred sites, as guides and spiritual brokers who maintain the narratives. It will also be important to investigate the villagers' as well as visitors' view of the kuncen in regard to local pilgrimage. The study will also enhance comparative studies concerned with networks of holy men or saints (wali) on the island of Java (Pemberton 1994; Fox 1991: 20). I want to argue that people respond to, and participate in, saint veneration on pragmatic grounds. However, these grounds are subject to interpretation and contestation in time and space. In redefining their narratives, various individuals, such as custodians, Sufis, and even to some extent government functionaries, are considered to be authoritative persons by virtue of their capacity to conduct and manipulate narratives. As this argument develops, it will be important to understand the modes of signification in the village."--Provided by publisher.

Download or read book The Essence of Man written by Ahmed Hulusi and published by . This book was released on 2012-11-17 with total page 284 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Essence of Man is a re-evaluation, or perhaps a renovation, of what has for centuries been indisputably accepted as the fundamental teachings of Islam. By deconstructing the outer conventional meanings of the many religious or, more specifically, Islamic labels and concepts, the reader is taken to explore the underlying universal meanings of the symbols and metaphors of their faith, and hence the essence of their self. What is the purpose of religion? What is Sufism? What state of existence lies beyond death? Who or what is referenced by the name 'Allah'? What was the ultimate reality Muhammad (saw) wanted to share with mankind? Why does one have to engage in certain practices and comply with the sunnah? How can one escape 'duality' and advance to higher states of consciousness? And, most important of all, what is the essence of all of these 'essential teachings' man has been advised to follow? Through a compilation of various writings and talks, Ahmed Hulusi takes his readers back to the core and redefines what it means to be a Muslim.
Download or read book Monsoon Islam written by Sebastian R. Prange and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2018-05-03 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries, a distinct form of Islamic thought and practice developed among Muslim trading communities of the Indian Ocean. Sebastian R. Prange argues that this 'Monsoon Islam' was shaped by merchants not sultans, forged by commercial imperatives rather than in battle, and defined by the reality of Muslims living within non-Muslim societies. Focusing on India's Malabar Coast, the much-fabled 'land of pepper', Prange provides a case study of how Monsoon Islam developed in response to concrete economic, socio-religious, and political challenges. Because communities of Muslim merchants across the Indian Ocean were part of shared commercial, scholarly, and political networks, developments on the Malabar Coast illustrate a broader, trans-oceanic history of the evolution of Islam across monsoon Asia. This history is told through four spaces that are examined in their physical manifestations as well as symbolic meanings: the Port, the Mosque, the Palace, and the Sea.

Download or read book The Call written by Ahmed Hulusi and published by Allah. This book was released on 2016-07-14 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For most of us, religion plays a big part in our lives. We easily get protective and defensive when someone speaks adversely about our faith. But does claiming to be a Muslim make one a true Muslim? Can one be a believer just by claiming to be one? What does the word believer mean? Why do we use this word? Faith is not something that is acquired, it's part of our natural composition. Though it may become apparent during the later stages of one's life. This can only occur if it is already inherent in one's nature. What does it mean for faith to become apparent in one's life? Just because you have knowledge of faith and apply the requisites of being a Muslim may not necessarily mean you're a believer. In fact, such a person may be faithless altogether, for actions may well be done despite doubt or denial. Are actions displayed contrary to one's true feelings and beliefs in order to acquiesce with the environment, actions of faith? And what if they are put forth out of courtesy or simply out of vested interests? Rumi says, "Either appear as you are or be what you appear as..". Easier said than done - the consequences of aspiring to this principle could be overwhelming. Only a rare few who truly believe in Allah will dare - those who have nothing to lose! For such people live only for Allah, expecting nothing from anyone. Such people have already abandoned everything others will also inevitably lose in the future... Often we are veiled from the true meaning of a word or a definition simply because we have come to mistake its second hand and often highly superficial meaning with its intended reality. The CALL makes readers question many of the concepts of Islam that we have come to take for granted. A must read for inquisitive minds.
Download or read book The Great Awakening written by Ahmed Hulusi and published by Great Awakeningna Press. This book was released on 2013-10 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Sufism (Islamic Mysticism), there is a phenomenon referred to as Annihilation in Allah, a state in which a person releases himself from the false reality of his ego, and manifests his True Self. Giving up ego-driven desires and showing equanimity in the face of changing circumstances one ascends to the level of a 'servant of Allah', reaching the station of divine pleasure. Essentially Sufism is based on the reality that everything and everyone in the corporeal worlds is the manifestation of the One, and so everyone in terms of their essence, is comprised of the Divine Names, the very qualities and attributes constituting existence. Looking at things from this angle all judgments, criticisms, labels and tags are dropped and only the One is observed. Everything in existence becomes a mirror, reflecting the innumerous qualities of Allah. You are holding in your hands a translation of one of the very first books written by Ahmed Hulusi. This detailed and concise presentation of Ahmed Hulusi's 1967 masterpiece is designed to act as a mirror for the READer that is searching to find his essence, his true self.

Containing 22 approaches, An Introduction to Arabic Translation provides the normative principles to guide training in Arabic-English-Arabic translation. It revitalizes Arabic-English-Arabic translation through its empirical textual reality, hinged upon Arabic and English authentic contexts and their linguistic, discoursal, and cultural incongruity. The exercises in each chapter provide practical training supported by translation theory. The translation commentaries included represent a critical translation quality assessment based on an analysis of discourse and textual features to highlight the process of translation, the translation approach adopted, and why. Such commentary invites students to reflect on their understanding of the translation process and the approach required for a given Arabic-English-Arabic translation problem. Providing a methodologically comprehensive course of Arabic-English-Arabic translation studies, and insightful discussion of high value for both students and teachers, this book will be invaluable to anyone seeking to learn or improve their Arabic and translation skills.
Download or read book The Sublime Quran written by and published by Library of Islam, Limited. This book was released on 2007 with total page 772 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first translation of the Quran by an American woman. It is a universal and inclusive translation with the hope that Islam will be better understood in the West. She also challenges the use of the wowrd "to beat" in 4: 34 as meaning "to go away" which is how the Prophet of Islam understood the word as it has historically justified violence against and abuse of Muslim women. "This interpretation must change," she says, "and revert to the way the Prophet understood it."
