Book The Seventh Deadly Cruise

Download or read book The Seventh Deadly Cruise written by Craig Schultz and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2010-09 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Could a return to the blue waters, the white sands and the warm breezes of the Caribbean shake a lonely widower out of his lingering grief? Cooper Meyerhoff was ready to try. He hoped that the wonderful memories he and his deceased wife once shared while on cruise ships would renew his spirit. His journey was barely a day old when his plans charted a different course. Through a chance encounter of a beautiful, yet strangely familiar woman, that spirit was tested in ways he had never thought were possible. As the hours and days of the cruise unfolded, he was forced to draw upon resources that he knew wouldn't fail him. Join "Coop" on board the cruise ship, Festival, as he battles with those ancient but still present, still evil and still destructive, seven deadly sins. Praise for The Seventh Deadly Cruise "Intrigue, mystery, romance, murder and life counsel on the high seas make this book a great read for anyone intrigued by the idea of cruising on a ship or through life. Read it and then share it with anyone having questions about the seven deadly sins and how to battle them in their life." E. Lund, Fremont Tribune. "Craig has developed a new style that fits so well into an uncertain culture. He brings deep morality in surprising and subtle fashion in the midst of very real life circumstances." D. Ludwig, PH.D., Licensed Psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Craig and his wife Martha live near Hickory, North Carolina. There he pastors a Lutheran Church, looks for any opportunity to visit his grandchildren and when he has a moment or two works on writing a sequel to The Seventh Deadly Cruise.

Book excerpt: The Royal Star, the most exclusive cruise ship in the world, has just set sail from Miami on its inaugural voyage. For the hundred or so notable and well-heeled passengers, including Zack Chasteen, and his wife, Barbara, the itinerary is a secret and the week ahead promises to be an ultra-indulgent tropical sojourn. But just an hour out of port, gunmen take over the Royal Star, killing most of the officers and sequestering passengers throughout the ship. Not only is Zack separated from Barbara, he has another worry —Barbara is eight months pregnant with their first child and could go into labor at any moment. As Zack and his fellow captives struggle to get an upper hand, the ship's hijackers offer few clues to their motives. Maybe it's a simple kidnap/extortion plot. Or maybe the hijackers are bent on more devious ends – using the Royal Star as a giant torpedo to blow up another cruise ship. Either way, Zack must figure out a way to stop them--while keeping himself and his wife alive.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Commander Kieron Phillips is very much looking forward to holidaying on the ocean waves and the chance to catch up with his adapted Syrian daughter, a dancer onboard the cruise ship. However, he realises all too quickly that there was nothing coincidental about him being on board this specific voyage on this exact week, and he has no idea who to trust. From the official 5* bookclub review - Awarded 'Book of the Day' and a glowing official 5-star review by the American OnlineBookClub.org. Multi-award-winning screenwriter and movie director Stuart St Paul delivers a crime drama set at sea that feels frighteningly real. … The plot of the story was complex and had much depth to it; it presented this giant riddle with many unpredictable facets. The story carried intrigue right from when Commander Kieron Philips was introduced at the airport. His character gave off waves of mystery and intrigue with the peculiar situation in which he found himself… Kieron was the tangy combination of the good cop and the bad cop. He was the guy you wanted in your corner when things got ugly because he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. His character stood out because of his keen eye for foul play, bravery, and kindness. More so, the author gave a lot of insight into Kieron's thoughts and the complicated mental process of solving the mystery that lived on the cruise ship. Another impressive character was Hunter Witowski, the cruise ship's head of security. He had a dry humour that belied his tough exterior. He was one character I didn't expect to like, but he became one of my favourites. It was fun to see the wordplay between the characters. Cruise Ship Heist was action-packed, suffused with danger, murder, and unpredictability. This was one of those stories that would stay with you for a while, as it delivered mystery and intrigue. The book was fun to read; there was no dull moment, and the entire experience was a rollercoaster ride. I enjoyed every part of Cruise Ship Heist. It was professionally edited, and I disliked nothing in it. Therefore, I'd rate it five out of five stars. Cruise Ship Heist would be appreciated by lovers of mystery and thrillers. Full review by Bibliophile onlinebookclub.org Cruise Ship Heist - second edition. Stuart St Paul won Best Director in the USA, a Silver Palm in Mexico, was nominated for a Star & Screen in Mumbai, and his movie Scarlet Tunic was selected in Cannes for official selection at both Cabourg and Verona.

Book excerpt: No one ever believes their dream vacation can instantly turn into a tragic nightmare...until it's too late. Some tourists vanish without a trace. Over 170 people have disappeared from cruise ships around the world since 1995, several under very suspicious circumstances. Others have their lives senselessly stolen, like the 8-year old boy sucked into an unprotected pool drain at a major resort, leaving his mother crying out his name as security staff held her at gunpoint. Or 22-year old Nolan Webster, denied proper medical care after being pulled unconscious from a Cancun resort pool, only to have his dead body left in plain view for hours and his parents billed for his room. Vacations are meant to be joyous and fun. Sometimes terrible things happen unexpectedly. A parasailing newlywed plummets hundreds of feet to her death on the last day of her honeymoon when her harness snaps in mid-air. Hikers make a fatal plunge on an improperly-marked Kauai cliffside trail. And of course, there's every mother's nightmare: the disappearance of Natalee Holloway while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba with members of her senior class. FATAL SUNSET, the latest exposé from award-winning and bestselling author Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff is not meant to do for vacations what "Jaws" did for beaches. "I'm not trying to scare you from going on a trip. I'm revealing these hidden true stories in order to make sure you understand what danger lurks in between the sun and sand and that perfect getaway," explains Nemcoff, the writer behind Kindle bestsellers "The Death of Osama Bin Laden" and "Where's My F*cking Latte?", an insiders look at the world of Hollywood celebrity assistants that was not only featured on Access Hollywood but has spent over four years straight at the top of Amazon's top-selling chart in the categories of "Television" and "Movies." "Sometimes travelers put themselves into situations beyond their limitations or worse, beyond their control," says Nemcoff. "People on vacation tend to engage in riskier activities than they are normally used to. Sometimes things can instantly turn deadly because you made a bad decision or were in the wrong place at the wrong time." In addition to FATAL SUNSET's shocking stories of deadly shark attacks, drownings, suspicious encounters, unfortunate accidents and murder, there is one part of the book that still haunts Nemcoff. "I interviewed Nolan Webster's mom, Maureen. In the book she explains what it was like to get that terrible phone call about her son's death. It's something I think about every day." "There's one piece of advice I've learned researching this book," tells Nemcoff. "Dare to be aware."
