Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adam de Guirande has barely survived the aftermath of Roger Mortimer's rebellion in 1321. When Mortimer manages to escape the Tower and flee to France, anyone who has ever served Mortimer becomes a potential traitor - at least in the eyes of King Edward II and his royal chancellor, Hugh Despenser. Adam must conduct a careful balancing act to keep himself and his family alive. Fortunately, he has two formidable allies: Queen Isabella and his wife, Kit. England late in 1323 is a place afflicted by fear. Now that the king's greatest traitor, Roger Mortimer, has managed to evade royal justice, the king and his beloved Despenser see dissidents and rebels everywhere - among Mortimer's former men, but also in the queen, Isabella of France. Their suspicions are not unfounded. Tired of being relegated to the background by the king's grasping favourite, Isabella has decided it is time to act - to safeguard her own position, but also that of her son, Edward of Windsor. As Adam de Guirande has pledged himself to Prince Edward he is automatically drawn into the queen's plans - whether he likes it or not. Yet again, Kit and Adam are forced to take part in a complicated game of intrigue and politics. Yet again, they risk their lives - and that of those they hold dear - as the king and Mortimer face off. Once again, England is plunged into war - and this time it will not end until either Despenser or Mortimer is dead. Days of Sun and Glory is the second in Anna Belfrage's series, The King's Greatest Enemy, the story of a man torn apart by his loyalties to his lord, his king, and his wife.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reverend Steer McAlilly accepts the pastorate of Morning Glory Presbyterian, a sizeable country church, in hopes that he and his wife, Tanya, might escape the bondage of their old selves. He is a recovering alcoholic and benny popper who fantasizes about driving a racecar. She is a stripper whom Steer rescues from the nightlife with promises of middle-class contentment and Christian bliss. Their new start, born out of their love of Christ and each other, is a true miracle-until Steer falls into the first great sin he's committed in a long while: a sexual indiscretion with a beautiful nineteen-year-old member of his congregation. The boundaries of love, forgiveness, and spiritual certainty are tested, torn, and put back together in unexpected ways as Steer rediscovers the holy revelations of Morning Glory's Long Lost Order of Worship. It has been said that Brian Agincourt Massey is a literary artist who "has gifts other writers do not." His prose has been called "versatile," "hard-bitten, yet fluid and poetic," and "superb," with dialogue that is "top-notch energetic." That the purveyors of these accolades range from New York editors and agents to fellow novelists to L.A. screenwriters attests to Massey's broad appeal.

Thomas Bishop, like so many other young men of this generation, faces terrible decisions forced on him by foreign policy of the American government. Honor bound to defend America from communism, Thomas trains to become a Marine Corps pilot to avoid a walking tour in the jungles of Vietnam. Tran Thien Don is a simple peasant boy thrust into the American War following a violent and life changing encounter with soldiers from Saigon. The struggle to preserve and maintain Vietnamese culture through a history of invasion from China, Japan, France, and now the inexplicable devastation from America, has ignited a fire in Don to fight for his country's unification, while seeking the opportunity for revenge on his personal enemies. Oliver Lacey is a young man who is an accidental Marine inductee facing racism in the ranks in Vietnam, missing a civil rights movement at home, and experiencing his own awakening about his place in the world. On the streets of the United States and in universities around the world the war rages. Few escape its reality as the nightly news sends images from Vietnam into homes during dinner. This tragic and unrelenting suppertime carnage sparks a collective awakening and a revolution of social change is born. Glory's Child is a story of the death of American idealism. From multiple perspectives the horrifying truth of war settles in around its characters. It is a gripping tale of heartbreak, survival, death, and a thorough examination of the philosophy and politics surrounding the execution of the American War in Vietnam.

Book excerpt: Would you like to experience true happiness? When it comes to happiness, most of us have the same questions. Why can’t I be consistently happy? Is it wrong to be happy when there’s so much pain and suffering in the world? And perhaps the biggest one: How can I be happier? Some Christians make an artificial contrast between joy and happiness, while others claim God wants us to be holy, but not happy. In fact, he wants us to be both, and the two go hand in hand! In 60 Days of Happiness, noted theologian and New York Times bestselling author Randy Alcorn shares sixty timeless devotions demonstrating that God not only wants us to be happy in him and enjoy his gifts, he commands and empowers us to do so.

Book excerpt: The Apocalypse of Enoch and Bhuśunda The Apocalypse of Enoch and Bhuśunda challenges the underlying assumptions of the classical roots of civilization by restoring the original context of creation mythology. In this second volume of A Chronology of the Primeval Gods and the Western Sunrise, ancient myths from multiple geographies are correlated to spikes in cosmic rays over the past 120,000 years – as documented in ice core data. The chronology and content of these myths tell us that the primary forces behind these cataclysms were the most ancient gods - hyper-nova at the Galactic Center associated with Sgr A*(The Dragon), Sgr West (The Beast) and Sgr East (Hiranyâksha and Hiranyakas'ipu), with secondary supernova seen as the birth of new, destructive gods. Ancient myth has documented the cataclysmic destruction of the world on at least twenty occasions with four major geo-polar migrations, which has resulted in a shift of the earth’s equator on at least one occasion. Multiple myths are shown to represent a view of the sky that can only be seen from the Antarctic region. Multiple versions of the myths of Orion are analyzed, showing clear linkages between the Vedic myth of Trisanku, the Book of Genesis, Senmut's Tomb, and the myths of Prajāpati Daksa representing the oldest version of the Orion myth – older than Trishanku and Genesis by 20,000 years! The stunning conclusion explains how the “Watchers” of Enoch were the Vedic descendants of Ila and Iksvaku. These descendants of the seventh Manu had been observing and recording the stars as a source of cataclysm for at least 15,000 years prior to Enoch, thus allowing Enoch to prophesize a ‘new heaven.’ That prophecy became the foundation for St John’s Book of Revelations, which is shown to be a description of a series of cataclysms attributed to Sgr West. The book offers a new theory for explaining geo-polar migration. That theory suggests small shifts in the location of the earth’s center of gravity underlie each migration, but that there are multiple causes for the shifts.
