Book DANS QUELLE MESURE L INTERNALISATION DES COUTS EXTERNES PEUT ELLE INFLUENCER L EVOLUTION DE LA REPARTITION MODAL DU TRAFIC DE MARCHANDISES EN FRANCE

Download or read book DANS QUELLE MESURE L INTERNALISATION DES COUTS EXTERNES PEUT ELLE INFLUENCER L EVOLUTION DE LA REPARTITION MODAL DU TRAFIC DE MARCHANDISES EN FRANCE written by Nathalie Martinez and published by . This book was released on 1997 with total page 376 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DEPUIS 1965, L'EVOLUTION DU TRAFIC INTERIEUR TERRESTRE DE MARCHANDISES EN FRANCE EST CARACTERISEE PAR UN ACCROISSEMENT DU TRAFIC GLOBAL DE 1,3%/AN (TRAFIC EXPRIME EN TONNES KILOMETRES) AU BENEFICE DE LA ROUTE QUI ASSURE AUJOURD'HUI PRES DE 70% DU TRAFIC INTERIEUR DE MARCHANDISES. CET ACCROISSEMENT EST INQUIETANT EN RAISON DE L7IMPACT DES TRANSPORTS ROUTIERS SUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT: POLLUTION ATMOSPHERIQUE ET SONORE, SATURATION DE CERTAINS AXES ROUTIERS ET AUTOROUTIERS, SANS PARLER DES ACCIDENTS ET DE LEURS CONSEQUENCES. L'OBJECTIF DE CETTE THESE EST DE MESURER L'IMPACT DE L'INTERNALISATION DES COUTS EXTERNES SUR LA REPARTITION MODALE DU TRAFIC DE MARCHANDISES EN FRANCE. IL S'AGIT DE VERIFIER SI LES EVOLUTIONS TARIFAIRES QUI EN RESULTERAIENT SERAIENT SUFFISAMMENT INCITATIVES POUR CONDUIRE LES USAGERS A PRIVILEGIER LES MODES QUI IMPOSENT LE MOINS DE COUTS EXTERNES? LA PREMIERE PARTIE DE LA THESE EST CONSACREE AUX CONSEQUENCES SUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT DE L'ACCROISSEMENT DU TRAFIC ROUTIER DE MARCHANDIES EN FRANCE. L'OBJECTIF EST DE MESURER L'IMPACT SUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT DE L'ACCROISSEMENT DU TRAFIC ROUTIER ET LE NIVEAU DE REPORT MODAL NECESSAIRE POUR ENRAYER LA DEGRADATION DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT, DANS UN CONTEXTE TRES PROBABLE D'ACCROISSEMENT DU TRAFIC GLOBAL. LA SECONDE PARTIE EST CONSACREE A L'IMPACT DE L'INTERNALISATION DES COUTS EXTERNES SUR LE TRAFIC DE MARCHANDISES ET SA REPARTITION MODALE. A L'AIDE D'UN MODELE ECONOMETRIQUE, PLUSIEURS SIMULATIONS SONT REALISEES SUR L'EVOLUTION DES TRAFICS DE MARCHANDISES SOUS CES HYPOTHESES D'ACCROISSEMENT DES PRIX DU TRANSPORT ROUTIER. DANS LA TROISIEME PARTIE DE LA THESE, L'AUTEUR S'INTERROGE SUR LES MESURES QU'IL FAUDRAIT ASSOCIER AU DISPOSITIF FISCAL SUSCEPTIBLE D'ETRE MIS EN PLACE D'ICI 2010 POUR INCITER LES CHARGEURS A REDUIRE LEURS BESOINS D'ECHANGES OU A TRANSFERER UNE PARTIE DE LEUR TRAFIC SUR LE MODE FERROVIAIRE.

Book Cities Regions and Flows

Download or read book Cities Regions and Flows written by Peter V. Hall and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cities, Regions and Flows presents a theoretical framework for understanding the changing relationship between places and physical movement, and thoughtfully prepared case studies from five continents on how cities relate to value chains, and how they ensure accessibility and urban liveability in an increasingly contested policy environment. Moreover, the book discusses how urban policies attempt to solve related conflicts in terms of infrastructure provision, land use, local labour markets and environmental sustainability. The two subsystems that are of major interest here - urban regions on the one hand, and logistics management and physical distribution on the other - develop in quite distinct, and often contradictory, ways. Whereas urban regions face disintegration due to the expansion of the built environment and the spatio-temporal fragmentation of life-worlds and regional systems, the logistics system itself demands integration in order to keep flows moving and to reduce costs. Physical flows, networks and chains thus have a fundamental impact on urban restructuring.

The contributors address crucial questions such as: How did Southeast Asia industrialize? What have been the consequences of domination by foreign investment? Did the region's resource wealth weaken its imperative to industrialize? Why else has Southeast Asia's industrialization been inferior to the rest of the East Asian region? Did the countries' financial systems help industrialization? Was this industrialization sustainable? The volume includes detailed studies of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Book excerpt: This book by a leading expert considers the growth of an inefficient superlayer in Southeast Asian economies and assesses the problems that this poses for future economic development. He goes on to offer recommendations for creating a dynamic capitalism while acknowledging that obstacles to their implementation exist in current Southeast Asian social and political systems.

Book Urban Transport XXI

Download or read book Urban Transport XXI written by C.A. Brebbia and published by WIT Press. This book was released on 2015-06-02 with total page 733 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Urban Transport XXI contains the proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Urban Transport and the Environment. The series of annual conferences organised by the Wessex Institute was first held in 1995. Transportation in urban areas, with its related environmental and social impacts, is a topic of significant concern for policymakers in both municipal and central government and for the urban citizens who need effective and efficient transport systems. Urban transport systems require considerable studies to devise and then safeguard their operational use, maintenance and safety. Transportation systems produce significant environmental impacts and can enhance or degrade the quality of life in urban centres. Clearly the challenge of providing effective and efficient transport systems in urban settings remains an acute concern, with financial, political and environmental constraints limiting the ability of transport system planners and operators to deliver the high quality outcomes expected by the public. Papers cover such topics as: Urban Transport Planning and Management; Urban Transport Strategies; Public Transport Systems; Environmental Aspects; Economic and Social Impact; Safety and Security; Travel Behaviour Studies; Customer Satisfaction; Transportation Modelling and Simulation; Infrastructure Development; Intelligent and Advanced Transport Systems; Transportation Integration; City Logistics; Resilience and Inter-modal Transport Systems; Mass Transport Strategies; Social Impacts; Freight Transport; Railway Systems; Transport Governance and Administration; Port and City; Mobility and Public Space; Life Cycle Management.
