Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Creation on a Dead-End Street is a message from the Almighty based on the Holy Scriptures. The message is about many areas of self-destruction, causing many deadly consequences. The author brings to life many causes and preventions of life problems. Creation on a Dead-End Street is an answer to knowing how to protect the human body, which is the temple of God. The human man must rely on God, who's the self-existence and eternal creator of all things. The whole book is a spiritual message. There is something that's significant and magnificent about the mysterious power that's available to those that believe. God is Love. Creation on a Dead-End Street is like having an interview with the Creator. It's an inconvenient truth that many won't accept. Creation on a Dead-End Street can renew the mind and start a new life being part of the closure to the old life. God has his hand on the microphone button. Read it for a new direction. (Someone needs to listen.) God cares that everyone is saved from the foolishness of this world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I am now in the nighttime of my life. It has been a good life – no perfect, of course – but complete with challenges, accomplishments, disappointments, laughter and sadness. No two lives are the same, and my reflections will be from my unique experiences. They are not profound. You won’t find my name in history books or on buildings. I consider myself an average persons. Unless I record my memories, they will soon be forgotten, so I am choosing to record them. Hopefully, you or someone will find them of interest. I will share my experiences, but, also, I will share what small amount of wisdom I have gathered during my lifetime. I have reached my 95th birthday as I share the following pages. I have always had a fascination with live theatre, and, since I discover3d a creative gene in my old age, I have chosen to include a group of short skits I have written. Hopefully, they will produce a smile or two, and, if you have desire to perform some of them, you have my permission to do so. Some have already been performed, and I include a list of those occasions. Before you start reading – you do plan to read, don’t you – let me share with you what I believe to be the three things necessary for a happy life.

Book Film Philosophy and Religion

Download or read book Film Philosophy and Religion written by and published by Vernon Press. This book was released on with total page 454 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hollywood is a $40 billion annual business, one that is highly influential in culture. If we want to know who we are as individuals and a society, what we believe and what we value, we need to know and understand Hollywood and film. Make no mistake, Hollywood is neither philosophically, politically, nor morally neutral! Many studies demonstrate how movies “affect” us long before we have thought it through. In other words, Hollywood “smuggles” all kinds of ideas into our minds and hearts without us even knowing it. While Hollywood may be the biggest and most influential in the world, this book will demonstrate the growing international influence of film from India (Bollywood), Nigeria (Nollywood), Zimbabwe (Zollywood) and Yesilçam (Turkey). 'Film, Philosophy and Religion' explicitly and implicitly takes a philosophical approach to analyzing film theoretically and methodologically. There are topic and film-specific chapters that take a theological approach, and others that explore ideas like Affect, Axiology, Art Reflecting the Artist and Transcendence (Spirituality) of Film. Hermeneutics also have a central role in the book, including films based on biblical texts that act as interpretations of these texts and fill in the blanks (albeit speculatively by way of script and directors). Chapters also explore the philosophy of aesthetics and film realism which end with theology, while other chapters explore the incompatibility of science with religion, as well as a chapter on the timely topic of rape in Turkish film. The book’s scope goes from the “Horror of Evil in Ridley Scott’s Alien Universe” to “Love Can Thaw a Frozen Heart: The Philosophy of Love in the Frozen Films” (Disney Princess Narratives). This book represents international films and scholars. The diverse perspectives from theist to atheist—and everything in-between—are sure to spark thinking and generate talking points that provide something for everyone in an accessible format. It will be of great interest to university students and professors, scholars, seminaries, and the general public.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Book shares the true Knowledge of God. It gives the facts of Creation, beginning with the revealing of God Himself, through the revealing of the spirit beings, to the creation of man. It reveals the true methods of worshiping God in this life, as well as revealing the coming judgments of God on the heavens and on the earth, and it reveals the details of the Hereafter, including Heaven and hell. The oneness of God and the oneness of religion among all people is stressed to the believers of God, just as He revealed it to His servants throughout the ages. The defects of Christianity are revealed, as well as the errors concerning the crucifixion, the resurrection, and the Passion of the Christ. The details of God's Truth as It exists in Judaism, in Hinduism, in Buddhism, and in Islam are also revealed. Most of the Knowledge in this Book comes from Jesus himself, as this Book contains more of Jesus' spoken words than any other documentary on Jesus. The Bible contains only a fraction of Jesus' Message. The rest of the Knowledge in this Book was revealed to the prophets of God, as documented in the Word of God, and this is the prophesized Book that must be opened in the End Times, for the saving of mankind (Isa. 30:8,52:7, Dan. 12:4,9, Hab. 2:14, Rev. 10:10,11). This Book is prepared as a Warning to unbelievers and as a Guide to those desiring Eternal Life.

Book Path Dependence and Creation

Download or read book Path Dependence and Creation written by Raghu Garud and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 2013-05-13 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The editors, aware of the recent work in evolutionary theory and the science of chaos and complexity, challenge the sometimes deterministic flavor of this subject. They are interested in uncovering the place of agency in these theories that take history so seriously. In the end, they are as interested in path creation and destruction as they are in path dependence. This book is compiled of both theoretical and empirical writings. It shows relatively well-known industries, such as the automobile, biotechnology, and semi-conductor industries in a new light. It also invites the reader to learn more about medical practices, wind power, lasers, and synthesizers. Primarily written for academicians, researchers, and Ph.D. students in fields related to technology management, this book is research-oriented and will appeal to all managers.
