The author used the "Backward Design" method with district essential outcomes and Minnesota State Standards. The SMART Board technology aided the "Backward Design" method with visual "hooks" which are short topics provided by the internet and web links. The SMART Board technology should also increase visual interest and facilitate review for students. The author concluded that museum websites and other internet links are complemented by SMART Board technology.
