Coping Power Il Coping Power nasce come un modello di intervento cognitivo-comportamentale evidence-based sviluppato per bambini con problemi di aggressività e per i bambini con diagnosi di disturbo oppositivo provocatorio e disturbo della condotta. Il Coping Power oggi può essere applicato in contesti svantaggiati, in setting di gruppo o individuale, aggiungendo un breve intervento di prevenzione universale, integrando al suo interno un supporto via Web per genitori e figli. La storia Siamo un gruppo La storia, attraverso le vicende dei cinque ragazzi, affronta tutte le tematiche del programma e consente di lavorare sulle varie abilità emotivo-relazionali trattate nei diversi moduli e sulla costruzione del gruppo classe. La storia è stata ideata con la finalità di unire come un filo conduttore tutti gli argomenti del programma, suscitando interesse e curiosità nei ragazzi. I contenuti della storia offrono spunti di riflessione e approfondimento all'interno della classe, nonché stimoli per mettere in atto attività esperienziali. Gli episodi e le vicende narrate sono state costruite in modo da poter essere rielaborate in classe attraverso discussioni, role play, eserci-tazioni oppure attraverso varie attività che richiedono di immaginare il proseguo della storia, di produrre nuovi testi e aggiungere altri contenuti alla storia. In sintesi Il programma è stato elaborato in modo da integrarsi nelle attività didattiche quotidiane, con momenti di confronto e condivisione gestiti dagli stessi alunni e di riflessione metacognitiva sulle esperienze personali.

Book excerpt: This book offers a linguistic ethnographic account of secondary schooling in Umbria, Italy, examining the complex intersection of language, socioeconomic class, social persona, and school choice to provide a holistic portrait of the situatedness of student “success.” The book explores the everyday sociolinguistic practices at the three types of Italian secondary schools in Umbria—the lyceum, the technical institute, and the vocational school—and the language ideologies and de facto language policies associated with them. An analysis of narrative, interviews, and classroom discourse unpacks the ways in which students are socialized by both peers and teachers into specific academic discourses and specialized forms of knowledge throughout their school careers. In those close analyses of the micro-interactional contexts of three classrooms, drawing on a corpus of naturally occurring classroom discourse, the volume illuminates the ways in which certain forms of talk are exalted while others policed and how students either submit to or resist the social labels ascribed to them. This account contributes new insights into the ways in which educational institutions are constructed and maintained via talk.
