On peut citer à titre d'exemple les silencieux automobiles ou les traitements intérieurs des nacelles des réacteurs d'avions. En particulier nous nous sommes intéressés aux matériaux non localement réactifs dans le domaine fréquentiel. Le modèle de Biot qui permet la description de la phase fluide et de la phase solide a été retenu pour la description des matériaux poreux. Deux approches originales ont été développées. La première, basée sur une méthode modale, a permis d'observer les effets de la convection ainsi que l'influence du squelette du matériau poreux sur l'absorption en considérant simplement un écoulement uniforme. Cette méthode étend le mode matching aux problèmes vectoriels et a permis d'obtenir des résultats fiables et rapides sur des géométries canoniques. La seconde méthode, basée sur la méthode des éléments finis, a permis d'étudier en particulier l'effet de l'écoulement en modélisant la propagation dans les écoulements non potentiels grâce à l'équation de Galbrun, modèle équivalent aux équations d'Euler linéarisées. Les effets de réfraction dans la couche limite et leurs effets sur l'absorption ont pu être observés et quantifiés sur des géométries complexes.
