Download or read book CONTRIBUTION A L ETUDE DE SIGNAUX AUTO SIMILAIRES ET A MEMOIRE LONGUE AU MOYEN DE SYSTEMES LINEAIRES NON STATIONNAIRES written by EMMANUEL.. NORET and published by . This book was released on 1999 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE TRAVAIL PORTE SUR LA MODELISATION, LA SYNTHESE, L'ECHANTILLONNAGE ET L'ANALYSE DE SIGNAUX AUTO-SIMILAIRES ET A MEMOIRE LONGUE. L'APPROCHE RETENUE EST FONDEE SUR L'UTILISATION D'UNE CLASSE DE MODELES LINEAIRES NON-STATIONNAIRES. SA CONSTRUCTION REPOSE SUR L'AGREGATION DE CELLULES ELEMENTAIRES DU PREMIER ORDRE, DONT LES PRINCIPALES PROPRIETES SONT ETUDIEES. LES MODELES OBTENUS SONT COMPARES A CEUX DEJA EXISTANTS. LEUR DISCRETISATION CONDUIT A UNE METHODE DE SYNTHESE PAR DECOMPOSITION DE CHOLESKY. L'ECHANTILLONNAGE DE CES SIGNAUX EST UN PROBLEME TRES DELICAT. UNE SOLUTION CONCERNANT LE CHOIX PRATIQUE DES INSTANTS D'ECHANTILLONNAGE, BASEE SUR LE CALCUL DE LA BORNE DE RAO-CRAMER DES ESTIMATEURS DES PARAMETRES DE LA CELLULE ELEMENTAIRE, EST PROPOSEE. DEUX SCHEMAS D'ECHANTILLONNAGE SONT ENSUITE ETUDIES : REGULIER ET GEOMETRIQUE. ON DEVELOPPE ALORS DEUX ALGORITHMES D'ESTIMATION DES PARAMETRE DES MODELES, L'UN PAR MAXIMUM DE VRAISEMBLANCE, L'AUTRE PAR MAXIMUM DE VRAISEMBLANCE RECURRENT. LE MEMOIRE SE TERMINE PAR UN CHAPITRE DE VALIDATION DE CES ALGORITHMES QUI PRESENTE DE NOMBREUSES SIMULATIONS, SUIVI D'UN CHAPITRE QUI PROPOSE QUELQUES PERSPECTIVES A CE TRAVAIL.

Book Reproducing Kernel Spaces and Applications

Download or read book Reproducing Kernel Spaces and Applications written by Daniel Alpay and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 355 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The notions of positive functions and of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces play an important role in various fields of mathematics, such as stochastic processes, linear systems theory, operator theory, and the theory of analytic functions. Also they are relevant for many applications, for example to statistical learning theory and pattern recognition. The present volume contains a selection of papers which deal with different aspects of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. Topics considered include one complex variable theory, differential operators, the theory of self-similar systems, several complex variables, and the non-commutative case. The book is of interest to a wide audience of pure and applied mathematicians, electrical engineers and theoretical physicists.

Book Contribution l analyse des signaux non stationnaires et ou non gaussiens

Download or read book Contribution l analyse des signaux non stationnaires et ou non gaussiens written by Claude Jorand and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LA TRANSFORMATION DE WIGNER-VILLE (TWV) EST UN OUTIL A PRESENT BIEN CONNU DANS L'ANALYSE DE SIGNAUX NON STATIONNAIRES. SA STRUCTURE NON LINEAIRE EST SOURCE D'INTERFERENCES ENTRE LES COMPOSANTES DU SIGNAL ANALYSE, CE QUI POSE UN PROBLEME LORS DE L'EXTRACTION DES INFORMATIONS PERTINENTES DANS L'IMAGE RESULTANTE. CONSIDEREE COMME UN PROCESSUS ALEATOIRE BIDIMENSIONNEL, CETTE IMAGE EST GENERALEMENT NON GAUSSIENNE. AINSI, CETTE TRANSFORMATION EST LE SIEGE DE TROIS NON-QUALITES: NON LINEARITE, DUE A L'OPERATEUR, NON STATIONNARITE ET NON GAUSSIANITE, QUI AFFECTENT LE SIGNAL ANALYSE OU PRODUIT. DANS CETTE ETUDE, NOUS NOUS INTERESSONS AUX DEUX NON-QUALITES LIEES AUX SIGNAUX: LA NON GAUSSIANITE, OU L'ON ABORDE CERTAINES TECHNIQUES UTILISANT LES STATISTIQUES D'ORDRE SUPERIEUR A DEUX, PUIS LA NON STATIONNARITE, QUI FAIT INTERVENIR LA TRANSFORMATION EN ONDELETTES COMME SECOND ROLE. ENFIN, DANS UN CADRE ETENDU DE LA TWV, ON RENCONTRE SIMULTANEMENT CES DEUX ATTRIBUTS.

Download or read book Contribution l analyse de signaux non stationnaires written by Olivier Meste and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Semiparametric Theory and Missing Data

Download or read book Semiparametric Theory and Missing Data written by Anastasios Tsiatis and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2007-01-15 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book summarizes current knowledge regarding the theory of estimation for semiparametric models with missing data, in an organized and comprehensive manner. It starts with the study of semiparametric methods when there are no missing data. The description of the theory of estimation for semiparametric models is both rigorous and intuitive, relying on geometric ideas to reinforce the intuition and understanding of the theory. These methods are then applied to problems with missing, censored, and coarsened data with the goal of deriving estimators that are as robust and efficient as possible.

Book Interaction and Market Structure

Download or read book Interaction and Market Structure written by Domenico Delli Gatti and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2000-03-27 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of essays which examine how the properties of aggregate variables are influenced by the actions and interactions of heterogenous individuals in different economic contexts. The common denominator of the essays is a critique of the representative agent hypothesis. If this hypothesis were correct, the behaviour of the aggregate variable would simply be the reproduction of individual optimising behaviour. In the methodology of the hard sciences, one of the achievements of the quantum revolution has been the rebuttal of the notion that aggregate behaviour can be explained on the basis of the behaviour of a single unit: the elementary particle does not even exist as a single entity but as a network, a system of interacting units. In this book, new tracks in economics which parallel the developments in physics mentioned above are explored. The essays, in fact are contributions to the analysis of the economy as a complex evolving system of interacting agents.

Book Life Insurance Mathematics

Download or read book Life Insurance Mathematics written by Hans U. Gerber and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HaIley's Comet has been prominently displayed in many newspapers during the last few months. For the first time in 76 years it appeared this winter, clearly visible against the nocturnal sky. This is an appropriate occasion to point out the fact that Sir Edmund Halley also constructed the world's first life table in 1693, thus creating the scientific foundation of life insurance. Halley's life table and its successors were viewed as deterministic laws, i. e. the number of deaths in any given group and year was considered to be a weIl defined number that could be calculated by means of a life table. However, in reality this number is random. Thus any mathematical treatment of life insurance will have to rely more and more on prob ability theory. By sponsoring this monograph the Swiss Association of Actuaries wishes to support the "modern" probabilistic view oflife contingencies. We are fortu nate that Professor Gerber, an internationally renowned expert, has assumed the task of writing the monograph. We thank the Springer-Verlag and hope that this monograph will be the first in a successful series of actuarial texts. Hans Bühlmann Zürich, March 1986 President Swiss Association of Actuaries Preface Two major developments have influenced the environment of actuarial math ematics. One is the arrival of powerful and affordable computers; the once important problem of numerical calculation has become almost trivial in many instances.
