Book Consciousness as Revealing the Existence of God Man and Nature Classic Reprint

Download or read book Consciousness as Revealing the Existence of God Man and Nature Classic Reprint written by and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-05-27 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Consciousness, As Revealing the Existence of God, Man, and Nature offers an engaging discussion on virtue and the presence of God in everyday life. In addition to the meaty topic of God, the book also tackles psychological concepts like the "ego" and consciousness in the hopes of establishing a concept of "self" in relation to religion. This book proves to be interesting, entertaining, and thought-provoking for anyone interested in religion, Christianity, or psychology. As humans, it's natural to experience the existential quandaries around the essence of human existence, how to prove our existence and what kind of stock we can put in the proof offered by religious, psychological and philosophical experts. This book attempts to answer those questions, making a compelling argument for consciousness itself as proof of existence, using the presence of God in nature as evidence to support the theory. This book passionately presents tightly constructed philosophical and religious argument backed with impressive evidence presented by the author to convince the reader of these ideas. For people who have been searching for meaning in their life beyond the day-to-day tedium, this book may provide some serious answers to their deepest questions and concerns. Consciousness, As Revealing the Existence of God, Man, and Nature provides a lively discussion about what it means to be human and how God is present not only in our lives but in all aspects of nature. With an excellent response to man's natural existential query, the author presents a compelling argument meant to convince even the heartiest skeptic. This is also a great book for individuals who enjoy reading books on religion and psychology. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Power of God's Consciousness was written to transform the lives and consciousness of mankind. It was written to transform mankind from a sinful nature and more into fellowship with God. When we read and study God's divine Word, we realize how God's Word can become the bread of life for mankind. God's Word must become the bread of life in our lives so that we can experience how God's Word is able to manifest itself in our lives. We have to implement God's Word in our hearts and minds as God's Word becomes a part of our lives. We have to develop the discipline in our lifestyles that reflect the life of Jesus Christ. Everything that we do at this point in our lives should reflect our discipline and consciousness of God's divine Word in our hearts and is acted out in our lives. Book The Nature of Consciousness

Download or read book The Nature of Consciousness written by Rupert Spira and published by New Harbinger Publications. This book was released on 2017-06-01 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “I’ve gained deeper understanding listening to Rupert Spira than I have from any other exponent of modern spirituality. Reality is sending us a message we desperately need to hear, and at this moment no messenger surpasses Spira and the transformative words in his essays.” —Deepak Chopra, author of You Are the Universe, Spiritual Solutions, and Super Brain Our world culture is founded on the assumption that the Big Bang gave rise to matter, which in time evolved into the world, into which the body was born, inside which a brain appeared, out of which consciousness at some late stage developed. As a result of this “matter model,” most of us believe that consciousness is a property of the body. We feel that it is “I,” this body, that knows or is aware of the world. We believe and feel that the knowing with which we are aware of our experience is located in and shares the limits and destiny of the body. This is the fundamental presumption of mind and matter that underpins almost all our thoughts and feelings and is expressed in our activities and relationships. The Nature of Consciousness suggests that the matter model has outlived its function and is now destroying the very values it once sought to promote. For many people, the debate as to the ultimate reality of the universe is an academic one, far removed from the concerns and demands of everyday life. After all, life happens independently of our models of it. However, The Nature of Consciousness will clearly show that the materialist paradigm is a philosophy of despair and, as such, the root cause of unhappiness in individuals. It is a philosophy of conflict and, as such, the root cause of hostilities between families, communities, and nations. Far from being abstract and philosophical, its implications touch each one of us directly and intimately. An exploration of the nature of consciousness has the power to reveal the peace and happiness that truly lie at the heart of experience. Our experience never ceases to change, but the knowing element in all experience—consciousness, or what we call “I”—itself never changes. The knowing with which all experience is known is always the same knowing. Being the common, unchanging element in all experience, consciousness does not share the qualities of any particular experience: it is not qualified, conditioned, or limited by experience. The knowing with which a feeling of loneliness or sorrow is known is the same knowing with which the thought of a friend, the sight of a sunset, or the taste of ice cream is known. Just as a screen is never disturbed by the action in a movie, so consciousness is never disturbed by experience; thus it is inherently peaceful. The peace that is inherent in us—indeed that is us—is not dependent on the situations or conditions we find ourselves in. In a series of essays that draw you, through your own direct experience, into an exploration of the nature of this knowing element that each of us calls “I,” The Nature of Consciousness posits that consciousness is the fundamental reality of the apparent duality of mind and matter. It shows that the overlooking or ignoring of this reality is the root cause of the existential unhappiness that pervades and motivates most people’s lives, as well as the wider conflicts that exist between communities and nations. Conversely, the book suggests that the recognition of the fundamental reality of consciousness is the first step in the quest for lasting happiness and the foundation for world peace.

Book An Examination of Conscience of the Understanding

Download or read book An Examination of Conscience of the Understanding written by Richard L. Scott and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2016-12-29 with total page 483 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Examination of Conscience of the Understanding: Empirical Proof of the Existence of God by Richard L. Scott Seeking his own utmost depth of comprehensive understanding, the author sets out to prove empirically that God exists. The seed of proof is the Birth Paradox, its florescence a faith grounded in his spirituality disposed soul: As empirically real as his conscious self, as mathematically certain as the probability laws of genetic science, as necessary as that the universe requires a creator for its rational possibility, as immanently intuitive as the Divine Allegory he mirrors. The Birth Paradox is the contingency of personal conscious existence on the body. Is there any scientific or commonsense belief as certain of itself? And yet, as a practical proposition, it is an utterly impossible conjunction! Personal consciousness is necessary specific to its own experience, a subtly profound tautology! How is it, then, that one’s necessary being can be dependent on a chance body?

Book How Did Jesus Know He Was God

Download or read book How Did Jesus Know He Was God written by William Chami and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2020-04-02 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The self-consciousness and human knowledge of Christ is a contemporary christological issue which seeks to understand the awareness that the God-man, Jesus Christ, possessed of himself during his life on earth. The present question primarily concerns itself with exploring how the Son knows that he is the Son in his human mind. Traditionally this question has been asked and answered that, through the beatific vision, the Son knew himself as divine in his human mind. However, recent theories advanced by scholars seem to preclude any notion of beatific knowledge in the Incarnate Son. This book explores the perspectives of three main authors, Jacques Maritain, Karl Rahner, and Thomas Weinandy, in relation to the present question, and attempts to provide an answer for how the Incarnate Son apprehended his divine identity through his human operations. Considered also is the scope of Christ's human knowledge with regard to two specific objects of knowledge. These concern whether the Son as man had an awareness of those for whom he gave his life (Gal 2:20) and whether the Son was really ignorant of the eschatological final "day and hour" (Mark 13:32; Matt 24:36).

Book The Christ Is Not a Person

Download or read book The Christ Is Not a Person written by J.C. Tefft and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009-02-11 with total page 492 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why are we born? For what purpose are we here? The longer we remain unaware of what is taking place within us of what drives us and what can liberate us from the bonds of egocentric behavior the longer we allow what the Buddha called the sorrow of life to hold sway. The sorrow of life is the sum and consequence of our total identification with the world that is created by self. The word Consciousness means something more than what the mind of self thinks, imagines, or conceives. Awareness in Pure Consciousness is an awareness that is other than self and beyond thought. Contrary to traditional thinking, the so-called unseen, unknown world is nothing more than Consciousness of which we are unaware. Unawareness in Consciousness has been evolving into Awareness in Consciousness since before time began. The author of this work comprehensively sets forth a meaning of ancient scripture that likely has not been advanced to you before. He demystifies ancient legends and myths so the essential truth of ancient teachings shines through. Using ancient scripture as a guide, he insightfully explores a growing conscious awareness that has been emerging within mankind over the last few thousand years. A must read for anyone looking to discover the deeper meaning of ancient scripture beyond a literal interpretation of the words.

Book The New Consciousness

Download or read book The New Consciousness written by Jakeb Brock and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2018-07-11 with total page 247 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The new consciousness is a streamlined spiritual perspective on life whose time has come at last. It is not a new religion or sect; neither is it a cult or a fad. It has no doctrines or creeds. Rather it is a bulwark of impersonal realism and truth that authoritatively, yet gently, displaces all forms of ignorance and superstition in the same manner that light dispels darkness. When light shines in, darkness does not need to be overcame or fought against. It is merely banished and forgotten. In the same way that there is no battle, there is no lingering condemnation or shame. In so many ways, human civilization has advanced beyond our highest ideals and expectations. But when it comes to the pursuit and practice of spiritual truth, we have remained remarkably stunted and stagnant. Ignorance and superstition have proven to be tenaciously resilient. Paradoxically, despite their archaic origins, they have been carried over right into this modern technological age. The dawning of the new consciousness marks the beginning of the end for these stubborn, archaic ideologies.

Download or read book Patterns of Awareness written by Lisa Johnson and published by . This book was released on 2015-12-19 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many people think there is nothing logical about God because God requires faith, whereas logic requires strict principles of validity. Remarkably, both statements are true. It does require faith to believe in God and logic does require strict principles of validity which do not lend themselves well to making the case for the existence of the kind of God we have been told to believe in. That god requires a huge leap of faith and makes a mockery of strict principles of validity. However, there is one tiny problem with the god we have been told to believe in. He does not exist. The god we have been told to believe in is not the God the Bible's Old Testament prophets describe, nor is he the God Jesus very clearly discusses in his teachings. That is the only God I know and have faith in and that is the God for which I make the logical case in this book based on science, Jesus and the Bible. I am able to make the logical case for God because God is the label we have given to a universal consciousness of creation that relies on logical principles and rules in order to create. The fields of math and science have and are revealing these universal laws of nature to us and although we may not consciously be aware of it, we use them daily in creating patterns of thought that either promote our health and well-being or destroy it. What I discovered is that we can never really know the true (what the Bible refers to as our consciousness of good) without likewise knowing the false (what the Bible refers to as our consciousness of evil). Together, they comprise our consciousness of good and evil. Given the state of our present human consciousness, it seems like we have to directly experience the very palpable results of human evil before we our able to ascertain the divinity of our human nature. I know for a fact that I would have continued stumbling through my life deprived of the truth about good and evil if my eyes has not been forcibly opened by a group of workplace colleagues who made me acquire an entirely different perspective about the world and my place in it. As I show in this book, our inability to embrace the full range of our human nature has blinded us to our human potentiality because it limits our focus of what is possible by keeping our minds contained within the status quo box of an existence that has been defined for us by other human beings. Breaking out of the existence they define can be hazardous to our mental, emotional, financial and/or physical health as I found out when I went against a management team in my workplace by simply telling them the truth. What was the worst experience of my life, however; became the wake-up call I needed to snap me out my own ego consciousness which had me accepting the limitations presented to me without even being aware that I was limited. Although it was not a path I would have chosen for myself, I was forced to discover what life is like outside the box after losing my job, husband, house, livelihood and mental and emotional health. I was unwittingly thrown out of the known airspace of predictability and security into the unknown airspace of reality where I was forced to reevaluate every assumption I ever held if I was to get back my will to live. It was there where I found God. Mind is infinite. It is the eternal aspect of our human being and the eternal aspect of our being is all the Bible and Jesus are concerned with. Once I began focusing exclusively on the mind - the creator of our emotions and thoughts - I was able to untangle much of the confusion, complexity and falsehoods that both religion and science have thrown into the mix and it became fairly straightforward in making the logical case for God. The only faith required was in my own ability to keep my mind free and clear of any assumptions and conclusions that were not aligned with logical statements of truth and fact.
