Book Computer Simulated Development of a Command to Line of Sight Missile Using On Off Control

Download or read book Computer Simulated Development of a Command to Line of Sight Missile Using On Off Control written by Je Young Yeun and published by . This book was released on 1983 with total page 83 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An on-off control provides a minimum time response for missile control. For application in missile control systems, it is wasteful of control effort (due to chatter) to use a ideal relay. Hence it is necessary to modify the ideal relay into a saturating linear control. The result was almost the same to that of using the ideal relay. (Author).

Book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences

Download or read book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences written by W. H. Shafer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and dis seminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) * at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dissemination phases of the ac tivity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volume were handled by an international publishing. house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 25 (thesis year 1980) a total of 10,308 theses titles from 27 Canadian and 214 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for theses titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this important annual reference work. While Volume 25 reports theses submitted in 1980, on occasion, certain universities do report theses submitted in previous years but not reported at the time.

Book Simulink Simulation of Proportional Navigation and Command to Line of Sight Missile Guidance

Download or read book Simulink Simulation of Proportional Navigation and Command to Line of Sight Missile Guidance written by Patrick Costello and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Proportional Navigation and Command To Line Of Sight missile guidance are explored. A system flow graph is developed for each guidance technique. The block transfer functions are developed and a state space representation of the system is defined. The missile systems are then tested using one two-dimensional engagement and two three-dimensional engagement scenarios. The final three- dimensional scenario introduces measurement noise in order to evaluate the effect of noise on the guidance algorithms. The engagement results are then compared to analyze the miss distance of each type of missile guidance.

Book Terminal Guidance Simulation Study Program

Download or read book Terminal Guidance Simulation Study Program written by NORTHROP CORP HAWTHORNE CALIF NORAIR DIV. and published by . This book was released on 1962 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of the overall program is to determine the conditions under which human participation is feasible and effective in the terminal guidance of a missile. The program includes the postulation of concepts for human aid to missile guidance during the transitional and terminal phases of trajectory, development of equipment to simulate a missile mission with human operator aiding guidance system, and to determine the effectiveness of human operator performance under simulated flight conditions. The guidance concepts being used in the simulation studies limit the operator's participation to guidance decision functions implemented by positioning a display screen cursor, and by actuating switches which read out data or command functional changes in system operation. All flight control functions are applied automatically with respect to the directional and/or positional references carried on-board the missile. During flight test references can be changed at the discretion of the operator to correct observed errors. The possible solutions to the guidance problem have been limited to this class of systems. The two types of concepts which have been postulated as falling within this class of guidance systems are line-of-sight guidance, and position navigating guidance.

Book Missile Guidance and Pursuit

Download or read book Missile Guidance and Pursuit written by N A Shneydor and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1998-01-01 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The continuing evolving capability of guided weapons demands ever more knowledge of their development. This modern and comprehensive book covers the control aspect of guidance of missiles, torpedoes, robots, and even animal predators, from the viewpoint of the pursuer. The text studies trajectories, zones of interception, the required manoeuvre effort, time of flight, launch envelopes, and stability of the guidance process. Mathematics at first-year university level is the only prerequisite. Acquaintance with feedback control theory would be helpful to the reader. - Covers the control aspect of guidance of missiles, torpedoes, robots, and even animal predators, from the viewpoint of the pursuer - Studies trajectories, zones of interception, the required manoeuvre effort, time of flight, launch envelopes, and stability of the guidance process
