Download or read book Dimension Optimizing Design Method For Annular Type Cooling Channel Of Thrust Chamber written by and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The new-generation liquid oxygen/hydrocarbon propellant liquid fuel rocket engine will use a high-pressure combustion chamber arrangement. In this case, cooling the thrust chamber becomes a key technical problem. The article presents a design scheme for the geometric-dimension optimization of annular-type regenerative cooling channels. The aim of the optimization is minimum pressure losses as coolant passes through the cooling channel. As shown in typical computations and experiments, application of this optimizing design method can reduce 50% of pressure losses. In other words, the optimization design is advantageous in solving the cooling problem in high-pressure thrust chambers. jg.

Book excerpt: Annotation This practical book gives young professionals all the information they need to know to get started in the space business. It takes you step-by-step through processes for systems engineering and acquisition, design and development, cost analysis, and program planning and analysis. You'll find the systems engineering and design process that applies to all space transportation systems, then the overall system architecture considerations that also apply to all space transportation systems. There is also detailed coverage of space launch vehicles by class, including the current space shuttle, other manned reusable systems, expendable systems, and future systems. A companion CD-ROM contains the Operations Simulation and Analysis Modeling System software.

Download or read book A Review Chill Block Melt Spin Technique Theories Applications written by Mustafa Kamal and published by Bentham Science Publishers. This book was released on 2013-03-15 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rapid Solidification Processing of molten metals and alloys has proved to be a reliable route for producing new and advanced materials. The Chill-Block Melt Spin (CBMS) technique is important because its simplicity, flexibility and perfection. High quality materials can be produced with lower costs, as compared to other routes, by refining the microstructure and trapping the nucleated (new) metastable phases. Melt-spun ribbons subsequently produced can then be consolidated to produce billets and sheets that can be used in many industries especially high-tech industries such as aerospace and racing automobiles. This book contains several perspectives about CBMS technology and should be a useful review for undergraduate and post-graduate metallurgy students.
