What are you waiting for? ****Testimonials****I just wanted to drop you guys a line and tell you that I passed my final CLEP exam last Monday which gives me all of the credits I need to graduate. I have taken 30 credits worth of CLEP exams and I've passed them all by using your study guides. I actually purchased one of your study guides and failed my first test. I didn't fail because of your guide though, I failed because I didn't manage my time effectively and I ran short. I looked at your study guide after failing though, and a lot of the information on your study guide was very relevant to what was on the test. So, I tried again with a different test and a different study guide of yours. I passed. This pattern continues for 30 credits. I graduate on June 9th thanks to you guys, so I wanted to say thank you. The guides were worth every penny. Thanks, -John S.****I would like to thank you for your study guides. I will be graduating in December with two bachelor degrees and CLEP helped me get there quickly. I gained 36 credits through CLEP and your study guides helped me through almost all of them. I can honestly say that I would not have passed many of the tests without your guides. Great products. Thanks!! -Erin W.****

Book Graded Lessons in English illustrated

Download or read book Graded Lessons in English illustrated written by Alonzo Reed and published by Full Moon Publications. This book was released on 2015-06-15 with total page 333 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Graded lessons in English an elementary English grammar : consisting of one hundred practical lessons, carefully graded and adapted to the class-room Brainerd Kellogg (August 15, 1834 - January 9, 1920) was born in Champlain, New York. He was a Tutor (1860-1861) and Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature (1861-1868) at Middlebury College in Vermont, United States. From 1868 to 1907 he was professor at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. He published a number of influential education books, some of which are available on Project Gutenberg. Kellogg was the author of Rhetoric; History of the English Language. With Alonzo Reed, he jointly authored Graded Lessons in English; Higher Lessons in English; A One Book Course. He authored a variety of textbooks on English writing and literature, including a series on the works of William Shakespeare. Most methods of diagramming in pedagogy are based on the work of Alonzo Reed and Brainerd Kellogg in their book Higher Lessons in English, first published in 1877, though the method has been updated with recent understanding of grammar. Reed and Kellogg were preceded, and their work probably informed, by W. S. Clark, who published his "balloon" method of depicting grammar in his 1847 book A Practical Grammar: In Which Words, Phrases & Sentences are Classified According to Their Offices and Their Various Relationships to Each Another. Some schoolteachers continue to use the Reed–Kellogg system in teaching grammar, but others have discouraged it in favor of more modern tree diagrams.
