Book Color for Life

Download or read book Color for Life written by Charles Phillips and published by . This book was released on 2004 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Colour speaks to us on a deep level, opening doorways to the mind and soul. Our mood and sense of wellbeing can be powerfully boosted or depressed by the colours of the walls, furnishings, and other objects in our homes, of the clothes we wear, of the plants and flowers in our gardens, of the light in our living spaces-even by the colour of the food on our plates. Colour treatments can be used to safeguard and improve health: the therapeutic use of coloured gems, colour-vitalized drinks, and coloured light derives from ancient wisdom that can be traced back at least as far as ancient Egypt, and also finds expression in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Gathering together and illuminating all these different aspects, "Color for Life" is a lavishly illustrated celebration of the world of colour. An introductory section describes how we perceive colour and how it affects us. Chapters of Colour and Clothes, Colour in Your Home, Colour in Your Garden, Colour and Nutrition, and Colour, Health, and Wellbeing investigate in depth the effects of light and colour, and will empower you to revitalize your home and increase you sense of physical and spiritual wellbeing through the inspired use of colour.
