Book The Birthing of a Glorious Church

Download or read book The Birthing of a Glorious Church written by Yinka Oloyede and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2010-07-09 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The birthing of a Glorious church Have you ever asked yourself why you were you born and what your purpose on earth is? Most of the time, Christians live a religious life rather than the one that God has destined for them. God is sending out a message that we must all first recognize our role as priests in His kingdom by declaring and revealing who He is when we walk in what He has destined and purposed for our lives. This will give us a real indication of our identity in His kingdom. This book explains why the CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST must refocus on His coming. These days the trend of events stated in Mathew chapter 24 and the headline news are so obvious that we must be on our watch for His coming This book is to prepare the believers in expectation of the second coming of Jesus Christ for His true saints. It is also to prepare the church as a whole body as Christ's bride, by washing the spots and wrinkles off her wedding gown to become the glorious bride that Jesus has destined her to be. Her glory will be the light to the world to draw many to Christ from this world of sin. This book has been described as a Christian's manual of faith for righteous living. As an end time messenger of God, Yinka writes with urgency and of necessity for the church of Jesus Christ to prepare for His coming and live in expectancy that He can come anytime soon. She also interprets God's Word with a divine revelation gifted to her by the Holy Spirit. She urges non-believers and those who are searching for the true way to the Supreme God of the universe to receive Jesus the only begotten Son of God as the truth, the life and only way to the Father. Finally, this book expresses God's love and compassion for those who have lost hope in this life and to those who have backslidden into the world. Jesus is calling out to you. This is a last call! It ends with a question: If Jesus comes back today are you ready to go with Him?

Book The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ

Download or read book The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ written by David K. Bernard and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2019-05-21 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is now a substantial scholarly consensus for the emergence of a high or divine Christology very early and from a Jewish context, but the questions of "how" and "why" need further study. Within the framework of traditional Jewish monotheism, Paul and other early Christians used the language of deity to describe Jesus. To investigate their view of Jesus, the author examines Paul's discourse in 2 Cor 3:16–4:6, employing insights from rhetorical criticism and Oneness Pentecostal Christology. He explains how early Christians proclaimed the deity of Jesus within their monotheistic Jewish context. He then identifies socio-rhetorical reasons for and practical consequences of the monotheistic deification of Jesus.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DOES GOD STILL MOVE IN THE CHURCH TODAY? Jesus said "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it! We see a confusing picture of church in the world today! And yet, as we see in this book, God's promises remain true. The beauty, and the victory, and the power of God's holy people that we find in the Scriptures through their faith in Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God and their obedience to his Word has been manifest down through the ages and is available to us today! God has always dealt with a remnant, a power plant within what the world may see as "Christianity". That power plant, in a very quiet way is what really moves things! The only thing that has kept the world from absolute corruption and consequent destruction until now is that Glorious Church that the world does not see nor comprehend. When it is taken out, the world will very quickly deteriorate and self-destruct. My examples of what God has done through the church are; the church during the Roman persecution, the church of the Reformation, the church that was instrumental in the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the church in Communist China that multiplied tenfold from the bottom up in the most severe persecution. The church in a prison and the church in a mine are two unusual examples. Our Lord had a great burden to convey to his contemporaries and to us the urgency of being ready for his coming. Especially in the last part of his ministry he used many everyday examples to teach and prepare us. A key verse showing what was on his heart is in Luke 21:36, "Watch you therefore and pray always that you be counted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man." This book is written for those who truly want to be a part of that Glorious Church!
