Book Egypt Child of Atlantis

Download or read book Egypt Child of Atlantis written by J. S. Gordon and published by Bear. This book was released on 2004-05-18 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reveals that Egyptian civilization is far older than commonly believed and that its sacred science was the legacy of the gods who founded Atlantis • Explains the cosmological and astronomical underpinnings of Egyptian philosophy and how they gave structure to the entire society • Explores the importance of the Precession of the Equinoxes in the initiatory nature of Egyptian life This book asserts that the civilization of Egypt existed far longer than is commonly believed and was structured around forms of cosmic knowledge that involved astronomical and geographical competence that modern science has yet to attain. Building on evidence of the prehistoric existence of an ancient worldwide religious culture that extended all the way to Tibet and China, John Gordon traces the origins of Egyptian culture to the legendary lost continent of Atlantis. Based on an understanding of the Precession of the Equinoxes and its inextricable connection to human evolution and divine purpose, he concludes that the sacred science of the ancient Egyptians was the legacy left to them by “fallen star gods,” conscious divine beings who founded Atlantis. Egyptologists contend that ancient Egypt was a civilization obsessed with death, that its greatest monuments were tombs, and that its history dates back only some 5,000 years. In contrast Gordon suggests this civilization to have been 50,000 years older. Furthermore, he contends that Egypt was originally not a society obsessed with death, but one that saw in life and death an initiatory transition. This idea was followed by the entire population, which was attuned to the form and nature of cosmic evolution at all levels of being, from the highest to the most mundane.

Book excerpt: Everything you think you know about history is wrong. What you don't know can get you killed. Max had always been a painfully normal kid, until he discovers that he is a descendant of the lost Empire of Atlantis. The Atlanteans possess superhuman powers, are technologically advanced, and have been the sworn protectors and teachers of humanity since time immemorial. A group known as the Fallen, an opposing faction of Atlanteans who wish to destroy all the "Earthborn," threaten their benevolent mission. The world has become plagued with war and famine and, all the while, the Fallen close their grip on our planet. Max is the Key to tipping the balance of this ancient war, but he must first trek across Europe to find his kidnapped parents, with the help of a malfunctioning robot and a combat hardened Atlantean girl. Two superpowers collide across the European continent to gain control of Max, as he desperately searches for his parents. On his journey, Max will not only learn about the hidden history of the world, he will also learn that the responsibility of earth's very survival rests squarely on his shoulders. So, you know, no pressure.

Book The Lost Teachings of Atlantis

Download or read book The Lost Teachings of Atlantis written by Jon Peniel and published by Windsor Hill. This book was released on 1997-07-06 with total page 397 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the account of an American teenager who discovered a monastery in Tibet that was the inspiration for the legend of Shangri La. It might be categorized as a 'new age' or philosophy book, like the Celestine Prophecy, since it focuses on his spiritual training and their teachings in a novel-like format. Hard to believe, but interestingly, the sub-tropical region amongst the Himalayas that he describes finding, was later documented by explorers from National Geographic, then 'covered up' (there is still evidence of this). Also interesting is that the author was apparently mentioned in the Edgar Cayce readings (the famous American psychic whose books have sold millions of copies), as someone who would one day bring an important message to the world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: They say we are doomed to repeat history if we do not learn our lessons from the past... Child of the Universe tells the apocalyptic tale of the Queen of an ancient civilization lost forever under a great cataclysmic wave. Her subsequent abduction and imprisonment in Atlantis ultimately leads to the destruction of the mysteriously advanced island. Derived from a QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) past life regression experience, Child of the Universe unfolds an alternative history of our beginnings on this planet and departs as a warning of the apocalyptic parallels surrounding us as we embark into an apprehensive future: "Perhaps it was best that this story remained locked away within me since the great cataclysms. But now my story can no longer stay buried, it must rest once and for all. It is my hope that by sharing this with you, my story will free us from this cycle of destruction we have become entangled in...Maybe you too have dreamt of the great wave of Amun, it's towering greatness only to become your watery tomb. Or perhaps the mysteries surrounding the destruction of Atlantis have pulled your attention time and time again. It is my greatest wish that we may come to remember and understand our lost history so we may break free from the amnesia surrounding our humble beginnings. There is something you cannot deny, something that you have felt for all your days that tells you that you are connected to something greater. The lives we live now and those of the long forgotten past will begin to show their true relationship as we together journey back to the lands of Amun and Atlantis."

Book excerpt: From the author of the Pegasus series comes a spellbinding first book in a new fantasy series for fans of Rick Riordan and Shannon Messenger following two cousins whose summer vacation gets swept away by a storm that lands them on the lost island of Atlantis. The last way that Riley Evans wanted to spend spring break was studying whales on the family sailboat in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. With only her dad, aunt, and annoying cousin Alfie for company, she is so bored staring at the waves that she’s starting to see mermaids between them. But when their boat is capsized during a sudden storm, Riley finds more excitement than she bargained for as she and Alfie are washed ashore with neither of their parents in sight. Where they’ve been shipwrecked is no deserted island, though. Atlantis is a place beyond imagination, inhabited by both people and incredible creatures ranging from unicorns and gargoyles to talking animals. But not everyone welcomes the cousins’ arrival, and beneath the wonder of this mythical land lurk dangerous secrets—something strange is happening to the inhabitants. What Riley wants more than anything is to find her father and go home. But the closer she gets to this goal, the more the islanders seem determined to keep her from reaching it. As Riley and Alfie unravel the mystery of Atlantis and its most terrifying part, the Forbidden Zone, they realize that the clock is ticking. If they can’t learn what happened to their parents and find a way off the island soon, it may be too late to leave.

Book The Book of Atlantis Black The Search for a Sister Gone Missing

Download or read book The Book of Atlantis Black The Search for a Sister Gone Missing written by Betsy Bonner and published by Tin House Books. This book was released on 2020-08-04 with total page 211 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An NPR Best Book of the Year A Vanity Fair Best Summer Read "A haunting, mind-bending memoir. . . . riveting." —New York Times "A mixture of biography and true crime, this narrative . . . offers more plot twists, shocking revelations and shady characters than most contemporary thrillers." —NPR The Book of Atlantis Black will have you questioning facts, rooting for secrets, and asking what it means to know the truth. A young woman is found dead on the floor of a Tijuana hotel room. An ID in a nearby purse reads “Atlantis Black.” The police report states that the body does not seem to match the identification, yet the body is quickly cremated and the case is considered closed. So begins Betsy Bonner’s search for her sister, Atlantis, and the unraveling of the mysterious final months before Atlantis’s disappearance, alleged overdose, and death. With access to her sister’s email and social media accounts, Bonner attempts to decipher and construct a narrative: frantic and unintelligible Facebook posts, alarming images of a woman with a handgun, Craigslist companionship ads, DEA agent testimony, video surveillance, police reports, and various phone calls and moments in the flesh conjured from memory. Through a history only she and Atlantis shared—a childhood fraught with abuse and mental illness, Atlantis’s precocious yet short rise in the music world, and through it all an unshakable bond of sisterhood—Bonner finds questions that lead only to more questions and possible clues that seem to point in no particular direction. In this haunting memoir and piercing true crime account, Bonner must decide how far she will go to understand a sister who, like the mythical island she renamed herself for, might prove impossible to find.
