Book Revival and Awakenings Volume One

Download or read book Revival and Awakenings Volume One written by Riaan Engelbrecht and published by Riaan Engelbrecht. This book was released on 2024-07-10 with total page 354 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volumes one and two of Revival and Awakenings (part of the End-Time Series) explore what is a real revival and a spiritual awakening. Prophetically, it delves into what God has been saying for a long time, which is that the Lord will sweep the earth with revival in the end times which will ignite many followers with His holy fire. What will this revival look like? This is the big question, and one would rather say it will not be a singular event, but a sequence of Godly movements across the globe that will be infectious, contagious and real. In an awakening, the Holy Spirit gives unbelieving people - who are dead in their trespasses and sins -a new awareness of their needs. A revival is connected to the people of God and it is when those who are in churches - those who are professing believers - are ministered to by the Holy Spirit in such a way that they are renewed in their devotion to the Lord. The time is ripe for the one final great harvest, yet this calls for the revived church, full of the fire of the Holy Spirit, to go into the fields, to awaken the lost and the forgotten and broken, and to bring them into the loving embrace of a God who is full of compassion, grace and mercy. This is the time of spiritual latter rains, and now is the time to welcome the embrace of a God who is real, alive, and who calls us all into His arms to reflect His beauty and greatness. It is not God’s Will that any soul should perish, but that all men should come to the knowledge of God and be saved. God is calling on all believers to cast their net in the deep for the harvest of souls.

Book Developing Spiritual Success

Download or read book Developing Spiritual Success written by Arthur Jaggard and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-12-02 with total page 365 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How does one write about Spiritual Success and preserve any sense of humility? Spiritual Success and How I Achieved It has been the tongue in cheek working title of this book. It serves to remind me that I know so very little. The irreverence serves to caution against the arrogance of pretending to know anything at all. None of this book is actually new. As Robert Webber used to remind us, the ancient is the future.1 Those to whom I am indebted include a long line of teachers reaching back to the early church fathers. I have had several excellent mentors and many tremendous teachers and professors. They all have helped connect me to the rich heritage that we have in Jesus Christ.

Download or read book Life Matters written by Colin Murray and published by Troubador Publishing Ltd. This book was released on 2023-09-12 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In his late fifties and having one eye on a well-earned retirement Colin Murray, a full-time decorator and Church pastor in North East Scotland received the bombshell news he was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. From the sheer panic of his first night following his MND diagnosis, Colin confronts the brutal, merciless muscle wasting disease head on with prayer and positivity. Accepting his diagnosis, he continues to fight his prognosis with positivity and prayer. In Life Matters, Colin reminds us that we should never minimise or over spiritualise anyone’s struggle with pain and that secular groups are more compassionate, empathetic, and Christlike than Christians with questionable doctrine. While many question their faith and recoil with fear in the face of a terminal diagnosis Colin remains a persevering, shining light to many during his declining health and an ever-increasing loss of mobility. This book is testimony that hope is real, Spirit life is real and in: “Gods strength is made perfect in weakness”. As a Church pastor Colin realises that his life now, is his greatest sermon. It is clear reading this powerful book that Colin is no whitewashed tomb. He is alive in Christ, already a possessor of the “life of the age to come”. Although outwardly wasting away Colin is being inwardly renewed “daily”. This is a must read for anyone battling a serious illness.

Book My Faith So Far

Download or read book My Faith So Far written by Patton Dodd and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2007-06-15 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this frank, funny, and often challenging memoir about life in and out of the church, twenty-something Patton Dodd reveals his quest for an authentic experience of God. On his journey he attempts to pinpoint and justify his belief in God, first with the fervent absolutes that characterize a new believer’s faith but then with a growing awareness of the cultural complexities that define his faith and encompass his understanding of Christianity. When a spiritual awakening in his last year of high school wrenches Dodd out of his rebellious party days, he embarks on a quest for God. He exchanges pot smoking for worship dancing, gives up MTV for Christian pop, and enrolls at a Christian university. Soon, however, he finds himself ill at ease with the other Christians around him and with the cloying superficiality of the Christian subculture. Dodd tells his story in contradictory terms—conversion and confusion, acceptance and rejection, spiritual highs and psychological lows. With painstaking honesty, he tries to negotiate a relationship with his faith apart from the cultural trappings that often clothe it. Dodd’s moving story paints a nuanced and multilayered portrait of an earnest quest for God: the hunger for genuine faith, the bleak encounters with doubt, and the consuming questions that challenge the intellect and the soul. This is a story that will resonate with the emerging generation of young adults attempting to break new ground within their own faith tradition.

Book excerpt: We were created to reflect something or Someone. What we behold, we reflect. The more we behold the Lord, the more we look like him--and the more we see his glory released into our lives and the lives of those around us. The glory of God is irresistible. Yet seeking to sense his presence or experience his glory for its own sake misses the point. His glory is the natural outpouring of a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit. In these pages, author and speaker Jennifer Eivaz shows how you can enter into more intimate fellowship with the Spirit of God, experience miraculous encounters, and begin to see more miracles, more deliverances, and more lives dramatically changed. Here is the inspiration you need to step into the supernatural and follow God's leading--and carry his glory to the darkest places and see his kingdom come.

Book Restoring the Fallen Tent

Download or read book Restoring the Fallen Tent written by Riaan Engelbrecht and published by XinXii. This book was released on 2023-01-26 with total page 271 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has been a while since the Lord spoke about restoring the tent of meeting. To understand this, we need to understand that before church, there was the Temple, and before the Temple, there was the tent of meeting in the days of Moses. The tabernacle of meeting evolved in the physical Temple built by Solomon, which evolved among the Gentiles to be mostly church buildings. With the stages of development, especially among Gentiles, the very essence of the tabernacle of meeting as in the days of Moses got lost among the sand of time. The tabernacle in the wilderness was about God meeting with man, and where man could enjoy the presence of the Lord. By the shed Blood of the Lamb, God’s presence is now not contained within a physical structure, for God now makes His home within man by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as believers, we have BECOME the tabernacle of meeting. Through our interpretation of church, the tabernacle today sadly remains a physical structure instead a spiritual one. The church of today has evolved away from the foundational concept of divine interaction, relationship and Covenant participation, which forms the spiritual tabernacle (house) in service to God. It is time to rediscover God’s true intent and purpose for the Tabernacle, and how we are to restore what has fallen and become lost over the centuries.

Book Fruits of the Spirit

  • Pages : 232 pages

Download or read book Fruits of the Spirit written by Riaan Engelbrecht and published by Riaan Engelbrecht. This book was released on 2023-02-21 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Galatians 5 makes it clear what are the fruits of the Spirit, which include love, joy, peace and self-control. Take note we are dealing here with the fruits of the Spirit, not our spirit. So we can only develop and carry such fruit when we allow God to abide and work in us. Therefore, we have to “live in the Spirit”, meaning walking in the Spirit who produces such fruit. This volume of work has been prompted for the simple reason that the church seems to be neglecting the need to equip disciples who reflect and manifest the character of God. We have become too obsessed with creating a feel-good Church, gifts, signs and wonders, yet ignoring the importance of character. It should be stressed we cannot generate such good fruits that produce moral and godly living on our own, therefore, we need to abide in God to bear much fruit. We need to earnestly cultivate a character that glorifies and exalts God, so that the world may know we are disciples of God because of the fruit we carry.

The topic of spiritual gifts is often a point of contention among Christians. In Spiritual Gifts: What They Are and Why They Matter, Dr. Thomas R. Schreiner, a leading New Testament scholar, answers these questions.
