Book Supraconscious The Genius Within You

Download or read book Supraconscious The Genius Within You written by Maria Olon Tsaroucha and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2020-06-07 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the core textbook of a quantum science of acting on stage and in life. At a time when the arts and sciences converge more than ever, PAD speaks about a contemporary, tangible meta-physics, fusing theories of quantum physics with mindfulness and the famous Method of the Actors' Studio, in a new harmony. Konstantin Stanislavski had said that the actor of the future, a new actor in the new life, is the one for whom art springs from spiritual intuition. He used the word SupraConscious, indicating to the actor the levels of consciousness he needed to attain. He considered the art of theater as the spiritual path to wholeness. PAD is the new system of translating and decoding, frame by frame the experience, bringing us in touch with the Higher Self, by reference to Nietzsche's Super-human and the transcendental Kazantzakis, creating a new transitional space where everything is in motion and evolves in the face of inertia, continuously actualizing that Alma-Quantum Leap of being. Maria Olon has written SupraConscious, The Genius Within You, a very important book. Cultivation of witnessing awareness in method acting can awaken us to the fundamental reality of existence beyond the roles we play. This is meditation in action. Bravo -Deepak Chopra MD SupraConscious, The Genius Within You is the first acting metatheatre text. Maria Olon not only goes beyond art to find the source of art, she ultimately shines light on the essence of the human soul. -Coni Ciongoli Koepfinger, Playwright, Librettist, Director PAD is the foundation on which every acting method needs to rest in order to flourish. -Menas Kafatos, Astrophysicist, Dhapman University, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Researches such as Maria Olon through PAD learning process, aim to bring a significant change in the education of the artist and ultimately the viewer, all of us indeed, shaping the man of the new 21st century’s culture that humanity is so much in need nowadays. -Rania Lampou, STEM instructor Humanity’s greatest story ever told is the “Story of Immortality.” This story explains that every human being is an actor in the collective drama of life. Each one’s script is unique to the part he/she plays. Maria Olon captures this concept beautifully in her work. The foundation of life is about flourishing at all levels, spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, and physical. This book is a life’s manual on how to achieve this through our unique script, unique parts, and unique roles. The world needs a new story and humanity needs a new script. -Gayatri Naraine, Brahma Kumaris Representative to the United Nations Maria Olon’s work upholds a Socratic attitude in life: fall as little as you can in the black holes of your high certainties, accepting the selfishness and vulgarity of human existence, not demanding, begging, accepting, condescending and ultimately be sympathetic, with healthy kindness and intelligence, with brilliant honesty, integrity, respect, gratitude. Maria Olon is not a common human being. -Angel Biri, Actor

Book A Field Guide to Getting Lost

Download or read book A Field Guide to Getting Lost written by Rebecca Solnit and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2006-06-27 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “An intriguing amalgam of personal memoir, philosophical speculation, natural lore, cultural history, and art criticism.” —Los Angeles Times From the award-winning author of Orwell's Roses, a stimulating exploration of wandering, being lost, and the uses of the unknown Written as a series of autobiographical essays, A Field Guide to Getting Lost draws on emblematic moments and relationships in Rebecca Solnit's life to explore issues of uncertainty, trust, loss, memory, desire, and place. Solnit is interested in the stories we use to navigate our way through the world, and the places we traverse, from wilderness to cities, in finding ourselves, or losing ourselves. While deeply personal, her own stories link up to larger stories, from captivity narratives of early Americans to the use of the color blue in Renaissance painting, not to mention encounters with tortoises, monks, punk rockers, mountains, deserts, and the movie Vertigo. The result is a distinctive, stimulating voyage of discovery.

Book excerpt: Sky Angel By: Kris Owen Service to country binds three generations of the Gregg family. Their patriotism spans World War I, World War II, and Vietnam. Proud to wear the uniform of the United States Air Force, each of them has a different fate, but their allegiance remains impenetrable. An invisible thread connects the men throughout their life as they struggle in their own way to rise about the physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds that color their lives as a result of their experience. Born in the Baby Boomer generation, my mother, father, and several uncles served in World War II. Growing up, I heard stories of my Uncle John being taken prisoner, Although presumed dead, he was released at the end of the war. I’ll never forget my mother describing his emaciated appearance the first time she saw him and how it felt when she wrapped her arms around him to welcome him home. My grandfather served during World War I. I never heard details about his experience but, as a family, we went to the parades he marched in while in uniform, carrying the American flag. It wasn’t unusual to see my mother crying as her father marched by. The symbol of the American flag fills me with pride. In high school, the Vietnam Conflict was background noise to my prom, graduation, and first job. When I attended my fiftieth high school reunion, I was struck by the tree of departed classmates. So many lost their young lives in Vietnam. It captured my attention. As a result, Sky Angel floated to the surface and was born. I admire the strength and courage it takes to be a part of our armed services, no matter what the branch. Sky Angel is a human story of a family who struggled with the good, the bad, and the ugliness of war.

Book excerpt: “If you liked The Girl on the Train, read The Last September, a literary whodunit set on Cape Cod, weaving a murder mystery with the emotionally intense story of a fraying marriage.”—Newsday “Impossible to put down . . . With an artist’s eye and a poet’s heart, de Gramont realizes a world of love, mystery, and the shattering sorrow of mental illness, deceit, hope, and lives cut short.” —Library Journal, starred review Brett has been in love with her husband, Charlie, from the day she laid eyes on him in college. When he is found murdered, Brett is devastated. But if she is honest with herself, their marriage had been hanging by a thread for quite some time. All clues point to Charlie’s mentally ill brother, Eli, but any number of people might have been driven to kill Charlie--a handsome, charismatic man who unwittingly damaged almost every life he touched. Brett is determined to understand how such a tragedy could have happened--and whether she was somehow complicit. Set in the desolate autumn beauty of Cape Cod, this riveting emotional puzzle explores the psyche of a woman facing down the meaning of love and loyalty. “The Last September is a wonderful, glowing book populated by characters that become a part of your life long after the last page has been turned. It is the type of novel writers admire and readers long for.” —Jason Mott, author of The Returned “Brilliant rendering of love story and murder mystery . . . I was hooked by the first paragraph, which somehow contains all the beautiful, luminous grief of the whole story, and I truly did not want to let it go in the end.” —Brad Watson, author of Aliens in the Prime of Their Lives “A moody murder mystery . . . Boasts lovely, understated writing, sharply drawn settings . . . and, once again, characters who are irresistibly attractive, flawed, and dangerous . . . A fine literary whodunit from an accomplished storyteller.” —Kirkus Reviews

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “From a very early age, Amelia was an avid reader. In books she found what she lacked in her life—love. Having gobbled up a tremendous number of books, Amelia started to write stories herself. She was only thirteen when one of her stories was published in a local newspaper. The payment she received for her publication was minuscule, but it was enough to pay for a fancy dress, which Amelia wore with great pride. ” Excerpt From: Liana Margiva. “Love Letters From The Black Sea”.
