Download or read book The Depths of My Soul written by Steve Jackson and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2020-10-28 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This cover is filled with words from my heart. Whether sad and lonely, or a dedication to family, love and being just me, these words are personal. Many focus on love during my “coming of age” and navigating dating and relationships. If these words speak to you, all the better. Most of the poems are short but all of them convey my deep emotion. Family is the theme of one specific poem. My family means the world to me, so I have to dedicate this book to them and their support in getting the book published. Look for the poem “My Sisters.” It’s personally one of my favorites. Also look for “Show Me the Love - It’s a Family Thang.” To my friend Emilia. You’ve encouraged me for over twenty years to write. Thank you for being there. To Sandra H. Thanks for the push. You’re a great Life Coach. And most importantly, Rick. Thanks, my sweetheart. You’ve been there through so many ups and downs. Thanks for your love and support. Love you and our kids and grandkids!
Download or read book Soul Language written by Noreen Conlan and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-03-09 with total page 77 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of inspirual writings which I have written over a number of years. I feel that I was inspired to write and some people feel that the writings have given them comfort. Now I feel that I want to share with the world the words that have inspired me over the years. Most of the writings have been written in relation to my own experiences of life such as forgiveness, which I had to personally learned to do after been deeply hurt by a past relationship. Many times I have mediated over my life and wondered what it was all about but I have come to the conclusion that life is a long journey in which we learn more about ourselves and others. How to accept people the way they are. We are all on a life journey and hopefully here to learn by our mistakes and make things better. We desire to be happy and content and bring happiness to others and to enjoy life as much as we can but not to be selfish. The biggest journey of all was from my head to my heart, to my soul. Carl Jung suggests that we are born with a wealth of knowledge, a universal knowledge which we are born with I believe the soul carries this knowledge which God gave us before we were born, thus the title Soul Language. Scott Peck states that our conscious leaks bubbles of information which we already knew but has been suppressed over the years. That is why I wrote born to be free. I believe we have natural instincts and wisdom which sometimes we do not always understand. I hope you enjoy my writings and gain as much comfort as I do when I re-read what I wrote.

WINGS are, in fact, Worth, Insight, Nurturing, Goals, and Strategies. In order to live a happy, productive life, a woman needs to be able to stretch her wings and fly. Sue Augustine provides women everywhere with a guide to a life with no barriers a life of magnificent possibilities. “Sue’s life has moved from tragic to magic. Download or read book Birds With Broken Wings written by Samuel D. G. Heath and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005-09 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A lovely bookstore owner asked me why she should read this book? I explained that in writing this book, I undertook a purposeful investigation leading where angels (and all good Baptists) fear to tread. It was during this attempt at explanation the picture formed in my mind of addressing an auditorium full of women. My opening remark to them is: 'Women hunger and thirst for romance. What is it that men want?" The entire audience responds with a resounding chorus in unison with one word: 'SEX!" I then ask: 'No, really ladies, what do men really want?" Again, with a single voice the chorus returns, loudly: 'SEX!" Seeing that I am getting nowhere fast I decide to try a new tack. I ask: 'Please, ladies, as a Romantic, a Poet, what do I, as a man, want?" Back it comes: 'SEX!" There is a definite mind set at work here. Okay, honestly, as a Romantic, a Poet, what do I want from a woman: SEX! Satisfied? But my admission of common guilt is only true to a point. Believe it or not, ladies, some men like myself want romance as much as you do. It is in searching for this elusive thing that I have discovered so much that betrays you ladies in the very areas you are supposed to excel in the romance department. I treat the causes and results of such betrayal in this book.

ACCLAIM FOR GLORY KEVERNES A MAN CANNOT CRY. A PEOPLE magazines Top Ten Book of the Year in America. A BOOKSELLERS Most Promising Title in Britain. A MAN CANNOT CRY is the finest first novel I have ever handled (including THE COLLECTOR by John Fowles, and THE WATER IS WIDE by Pat Conroy). Close to 50 years in publishing as a writer, editor and agent and I have never heard such a story of how a relatively uneducated girl of eighteen in a little copper mining town in Northern Rhodesia, married to a miner, began a powerful first novel of 500,000 words (before cutting), and spent years writing it under the most amazing circum- stances. I have never been as overwhelmed by a first novel. She is simply a born story teller. Julian Bach, New York Agent and a former editor of LIFE magazine. Gloria, you have a wonderful novel here. It moved me to tears and its editing has been a labor of love for me. A Man Cannot Cry has given me great pleasure and I thank you for it. Eventually the world will too. Hillel Black, William Morrow, USA. This excellent novel is an African answer to THE THORN BIRDS. With first rate characterization and an unusual and ingenious plot, the combination of Africa, the Quaker settlement and medicine, is exceptionally good. P Parkin, HarperCollins, UK. A MAN CANNOT CRY pulses with the life of Northern Rhodesia and all Africa besides. The story begins in 1958 with the arrival of Dr Than Profane at a Quaker mission to see his dying father. He does not intend to stay but before long he is taking Africa like a drug and thriving like cut grass growing wild He quickly earns the affectionate name Bwana Cowboy. His methods and sometimes his morals are characteristically American, rough-hewn, deaf to both danger and defeat Inevitably he clashes with his conservative hosts. But he does much better with the local tribes there is a wonderful passage where he is trained as a witchdoctor and some of the books finest characters, lovingly portrayed, are African The book is alive with people, places, and their interactions: births and deaths in squalid hut and shiny hospital, cruel savages and a tame leopard; the glory of a canoe trip on the Zambezi and a white man dressing as a witchdoctor to fight a smallpox epidemic; and in the background the murmuring voices of a changing Africa, Lumumba, Tshombe, Kasavubu, Kaunda. A MAN CANNOT CRY dramatizes all the conflicts and parallels between the white world and the black, the old Africa and the new, the familiar and the alien, the uncertain fears of the mind and the sure knowledge of the heart. Long, rich and detailed, it is a wonderful book. Alan Ryan, THE WASHINGTON POST. An enormous array of human emotion is

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hi all, This is Shreeja. This is my first book and I'm super excited and happy about it. The thought of getting my poems published dates back to September, 2023, where many people advised and encouraged me to get all my poems published. Finally, I see that vision of mine turning into a reality. So here is a compilation of all the poems I have written in the span of 3 years. Different themes, different words and different emotions.. Whenever I get free from my daily schedule I pick my pen and diary and put my thoughts in the form of a poem. All these poems are some emotion of mine. Some of these are inspired by the one and only- Taylor Swift. Sometimes listening to her music wakened up the thoughts in my head and inspired me to write. This book is truly dedicated to my parents and brother, they are my biggest supporters and my strength. I love you guys the most. Also special thanks to my best friend Gaurvi. She and my parents are the first readers of my poems in their raw forms. To Parnika for encouraging me to get my book published and being the sweetest person on the planet for helping me throughout the process. Truly indebted to Gyanvriksha Publications for their support. And to the four most craziest and awesome people who helped me to choose a name for the book. And yes, Shourya (my brother) for clicking all the BTS pictures. And lastly to each and everyone of you who is deciding to read this book. I love you all so so much.
