Book Blyss in Heaven the Letters

Download or read book Blyss in Heaven the Letters written by Bill Vyers and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-08-24 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I started writing letters to my daughter the day she died. This was my way of coping with a cruel depression. This is actually two books in one. The second part is the letters from jail. I speak and ask question of my daughter as if she was sitting across the table from me. The letters show how God stepped in and lent His tender mercies to someone asking what to do after the death of a child. Blyss in Heaven Ministries was amazingly born in jail proving God is always in control even though all seems lost.

Book Blyss in Heaven Illustrated

Download or read book Blyss in Heaven Illustrated written by Bill Vyers and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-07-30 with total page 65 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Even though this is a short book, it has more content than a larger novel. The text was born on a Saturday afternoon while watching a golf game on TV. There was no memory of the writings that are enclosed. God and my deceased daughter are the only explanation for the manifestation of this prose. Only a supreme being could claim responsibility for the content. This book is from a very unusual perspective and holds a very stern lesson for all. Please read with an open heart and know the truth of the Universe. God bless you all.

Book excerpt: The day of my daughter's funeral, the most horrible day of my life, I began a 65 day, daily visit to the cemetery. It was during these long, sad visits I found myself putting poetry down on paper. I don't remember writing most of the poems proving God had opened my mind and allowed my child to be my guardian angel, my muse. I believe my daughter's spirit lead my heart to write what I felt and leading me to accept God's blessings and the ability to transform my depression into understandable words. Though not Poe, they are heart felt. Again, here are two books in one.

Book Keys to Holiness Meditations on the First Letter of Peter

Download or read book Keys to Holiness Meditations on the First Letter of Peter written by Joyce Pranger Venaglia and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2016-08-08 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Growing in a life of holiness in a fast-paced technical world means, first and foremost, to keep our minds and hearts focused on the living word, Jesus. This is exactly what the apostle Peter gives us in his two short but often overlooked letters. In Keys to Holiness, Dr. Joyce Venaglia unlocks for us-in her own unique, simple style-a rich treasure from her years living a life of silence, prayer, and meditation. Dr. Joyce found each chapter, each verse, and each word to be a goldmine of spiritual inspiration leading to a life lived in deep union with God, which is possible for everyone seeking a deep love relationship with God. This volume does not cover all of Joyce's meditations on First Peter but is like a glimpse of the best that is yet to come. The book is not meant to be read as a novel, but slowly and prayerfully with a resolution to allow maybe just one key to penetrate deeply into one's heart and mind. In the process, one is transformed, as Peter was, into a living replica of the word, Jesus. Dr. Joyce is a member of the third order of Franciscans. She founded the Hermitage Ministries in 1974 while living as a hermitess in West Virginia. In 1981 she was commissioned as a lay Catholic evangelist. She is the author of four other inspirational books and many published articles. Dr. Joyce has traveled extensively, giving teaching seminars, retreats, and parish missions on healing and prayer. Besides sharing from her love for writing, she is also a poetess and an artist-all born from her life of prayer. Dr. Joyce Venaglia, known to the world as Sister Joyce and a noted spiritual writer and director, leads the way once again in this powerful message for all Christians to lead a life of deep holiness, following in the steps of our beloved Apostle Peter. Book Lollards and Their Influence in Late Medieval England

Download or read book Lollards and Their Influence in Late Medieval England written by Fiona Somerset and published by Boydell & Brewer. This book was released on 2003 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who were the Lollards? What did Lollards believe? What can the manuscript record of Lollard works teach us about the textual dissemination of Lollard beliefs and the audience for Lollard writings? What did Lollards have in common with other reformist or dissident thinkers in late medieval England, and how were their views distinctive? These questions have been fundamental to the modern study of Lollardy (also known as Wycliffism). The essays in this book reveal their broader implications for the study of English literature and history through a series of closely focused studies that demonstrate the wide-ranging influence of Lollard writings and ideas on later medieval English culture. Introductions to previous scholarship, and an extensive Bibliography of printed resources for the study of Wyclif and Wycliffites, provide an entry to scholarship for those new to the field.Contributors: DAVID AERS, MARGARET ASTON, HELEN BARR, MISHTOONI BOSE, LAWRENCE M. Book The Longing for a Form

Download or read book The Longing for a Form written by Peter J. Schakel and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2008-06-02 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: C. S. Lewis's extremely popular works of fiction have been widely discussed in terms of the ideas and religious themes they express and defend, but less often in terms of their purely literary qualities. Ironically, Lewis, himself a noted literary critic, would have objected to any such one-sided analysis of his works. To concentrate exclusively, or even primarily, on the content of a work without a consideration of its form and style was, in his view, a seriously unbalanced method of criticism. The Longing for a Form corrects this critical imbalance by supplying a theoretical background and detailed close readings for a better understanding and appreciation of Lewis's fiction as works of art. Following three general studies, a section of the book is devoted to each to Lewis's major efforts in fiction--the Ransom trilogy, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Till We Have Faces--considering the distinctive literary features of each group and individual books within the group. Running through the book is an emphasis on form--as literary kind and as structure--and a recurrent attention to three themes of particular importance in Lewis as a writer of fiction: objectivism, longing, and the literary artist as creator. Individually, the essays supply fresh insights into the style and meaning of specific works by Lewis; as a group they illustrate a depth, technical skill, and unity of thought and theme which have not previously been accorded Lewis as an artist in fiction.
