Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Annotation The origins of life, species and man continue to interest scientists and stir debate among the general public more than one hundred and fifty years after Charles Darwin published 'On the Origin of Species'. 'The Evolution Myth' approaches the subject with two intertwined objectives: firstly, Jirí A. Mejsnar first sets out to convey the advances made in cosmology, molecular biology, genetics, and other sciences that have enabled us to change our views on our origins and our relationship with the universe; his second objective is to use biology to explain why evolution cannot have taken place in the way that is most commonly assumed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book of Biology has the definite purpose of refuting the theory of evolution and exalt God as the one responsible for creating. We dedicate this volume to the Creator that is very close to the men, as the Scripture says in Acts 17.24-28, through this book we tax the God the title of THE LORD OF LIFE. Men announced this literature that their existence here originated from a CREATION ACT and not a PROCESS DEVELOPMENT. The true believers in God, this book will reinforce their beliefs regarding the origin of LIFE and MAN. Scientists to request reconsideration of theories that hinder the development of science, noting that no belief should divert research at its sole purpose: TRUTH.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The origins of life, species, and man continue to interest scientists and stir debate among the general public more than one hundred and fifty years after Charles Darwin published On the Origin of Species. The Evolution Myth approaches the subject with two intertwined objectives. Jiří A. Mejsnar first sets out to convey the advances made in cosmology, molecular biology, genetics, and other sciences that have enabled us to change our views on our origins and our relationship with the universe. Scientific advances now allow us to calculate, for example, the age of the universe, the period in which biblical Eve lived, and, with good justification, to reconsider the possibility that the Neanderthals and primates might be our ancestors. The author’s second objective is to use biology to explain why evolution cannot have taken place in the way that is most commonly assumed. Mejsnar builds his case around gene stability and on the sophisticated modern techniques for gene manipulation, the complexity of which make these modified genes inaccessible to nature. Development of life on Earth is a discontinuous, saltatory progression that results in stages following from preceding latent periods in which new forms suddenly appear and possess new types of genome. This, the author argues, is difficult to reconcile with the hypothesis of continuous biological evolution based on the natural selection of random variations. Taking a new approach to a much-debated subject, Mejsnar distills complex information into a rreadable style. The result is a book that as sure to get readers talking.

Book Biology the Myth of Evolution

Download or read book Biology the Myth of Evolution written by Scribe Menezes and published by . This book was released on 2015-06-14 with total page 98 pages. Biology is the study of life, and this word was used the first time by Lamarck in France in the year 1801. Our intention in studying biology as a theological matter is mainly explained by the THEORY OF EVOLUTION, as this philosophical doctrine conflicts with the doctrine the biblical CREATION. Who loves the truth, read the Bible with the heart and studying the sciences with reason. I remain always open to learn, discover and accept the truth, but I must not deny the biblical principles and replace them with concepts that are but vain philosophy. I have no commitment to any church or religious entity, except with my conscience. I do not believe in the theory of evolution because some spiritual guardian compels me to refute it, however, I reject it because it does not convince me by reason. The theory of evolution applied for Nietzsche in philosophy, inspired Adolf Hitler to believe in a superior race, Hitler, convinced of evolutionary doctrine, and having as coffee table books the writings of Nietzsche, sought by military force demonstrate that the Germans were the SUPER SPECIES and the rest of the story we all know. The ideology of Nietzsche's books influenced the tyrannical career Hitler. Nietzsche, in turn, was influenced by Darwin, is why Darwin is considered the grandfather of the Second World War. The theory of evolution was invented to satisfy the restlessness of man on their origin, but instead created a doctrinal monster; and its effects will be manifested in acts insane those who consider themselves belonging to a human super specie.

Book The Science of Evolution and the Myth of Creationism

Download or read book The Science of Evolution and the Myth of Creationism written by Ardea Skybreak and published by Insight Press, Inc. This book was released on 2006-09-01 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This clear, lively, and systematic presentation examines the scientific evidence for evolution and reaches for the widest possible audience—from scientific minds to those with no science background at all. Forcefully rejecting creationist objections to evolution and including a critique of Intelligent Design, it argues that they are part of a larger social agenda. With discussion that celebrates the fascination to be found in studying the diversity and complexity of life, this examination suggests with some urgency that the science of evolution is crucial to the existence of science itself.

Book Evolution and Religious Creation Myths

Download or read book Evolution and Religious Creation Myths written by Paul F. Lurquin and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2007-07-06 with total page 355 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Relying mostly on modern genetic science, this book exposes how various forms of creationism-including intelligent design-fail to provide testable models for the appearance and evolution of life. On the contrary, science has been very successful in the description of the unguided processes that led to the creation of the universe and one of its consequences, the appearance of life forms, including humans.

Book The Structure of Evolutionary Theory

Download or read book The Structure of Evolutionary Theory written by Stephen Jay Gould and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2002-03-21 with total page 1460 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world’s most revered and eloquent interpreter of evolutionary ideas offers here a work of explanatory force unprecedented in our time—a landmark publication, both for its historical sweep and for its scientific vision. With characteristic attention to detail, Stephen Jay Gould first describes the content and discusses the history and origins of the three core commitments of classical Darwinism: that natural selection works on organisms, not genes or species; that it is almost exclusively the mechanism of adaptive evolutionary change; and that these changes are incremental, not drastic. Next, he examines the three critiques that currently challenge this classic Darwinian edifice: that selection operates on multiple levels, from the gene to the group; that evolution proceeds by a variety of mechanisms, not just natural selection; and that causes operating at broader scales, including catastrophes, have figured prominently in the course of evolution. Then, in a stunning tour de force that will likely stimulate discussion and debate for decades, Gould proposes his own system for integrating these classical commitments and contemporary critiques into a new structure of evolutionary thought. In 2001 the Library of Congress named Stephen Jay Gould one of America’s eighty-three Living Legends—people who embody the “quintessentially American ideal of individual creativity, conviction, dedication, and exuberance.” Each of these qualities finds full expression in this peerless work, the likes of which the scientific world has not seen—and may not see again—for well over a century.

Book Intellectual Challenge to Evolutionary Biology

Download or read book Intellectual Challenge to Evolutionary Biology written by Bill Seney and published by . This book was released on 2017-06-23 with total page 66 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intellectual Challenge to Evolutionary Biology is must read for every parent and high school student soon to enter University or College. Simply put Evolutionary Biology as taught to the masses is simply false. This book uncovers the truth you are not being told. The theory of evolution is both a fact and myth; Natural Selection acting on random mutations has been observed, but the theory of evolution is very limited in its capabilities, extremely exaggerated, misrepresented and falls way short of explaining chemical and biological evolution and the origin of the species. Darwin got it wrong and countless numbers of scientist are rejecting the theory as a direct result of the scientific evidence in molecular & cell biology, bioinformatics, paleobiology, and genetics. Don't let the big words scare you off this is a down to earth summary of the facts written in laymen's terms so everyone can understand. What are the fossils telling us, how did a super computer like code get into the cells, why do ORPan genes disprove common ancestry? Did you know there is no conclusive evidence of humans evolving from apes? This an many other subjects will be discussed leaving you puzzled why evolution is being taught.

Book A Troublesome Inheritance

Download or read book A Troublesome Inheritance written by Nicholas Wade and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2014-05-06 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Drawing on startling new evidence from the mapping of the genome, an explosive new account of the genetic basis of race and its role in the human story Fewer ideas have been more toxic or harmful than the idea of the biological reality of race, and with it the idea that humans of different races are biologically different from one another. For this understandable reason, the idea has been banished from polite academic conversation. Arguing that race is more than just a social construct can get a scholar run out of town, or at least off campus, on a rail. Human evolution, the consensus view insists, ended in prehistory. Inconveniently, as Nicholas Wade argues in A Troublesome Inheritance, the consensus view cannot be right. And in fact, we know that populations have changed in the past few thousand years—to be lactose tolerant, for example, and to survive at high altitudes. Race is not a bright-line distinction; by definition it means that the more human populations are kept apart, the more they evolve their own distinct traits under the selective pressure known as Darwinian evolution. For many thousands of years, most human populations stayed where they were and grew distinct, not just in outward appearance but in deeper senses as well. Wade, the longtime journalist covering genetic advances for The New York Times, draws widely on the work of scientists who have made crucial breakthroughs in establishing the reality of recent human evolution. The most provocative claims in this book involve the genetic basis of human social habits. What we might call middle-class social traits—thrift, docility, nonviolence—have been slowly but surely inculcated genetically within agrarian societies, Wade argues. These “values” obviously had a strong cultural component, but Wade points to evidence that agrarian societies evolved away from hunter-gatherer societies in some crucial respects. Also controversial are his findings regarding the genetic basis of traits we associate with intelligence, such as literacy and numeracy, in certain ethnic populations, including the Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews. Wade believes deeply in the fundamental equality of all human peoples. He also believes that science is best served by pursuing the truth without fear, and if his mission to arrive at a coherent summa of what the new genetic science does and does not tell us about race and human history leads straight into a minefield, then so be it. This will not be the last word on the subject, but it will begin a powerful and overdue conversation.

Book Cooperation and Its Evolution

Download or read book Cooperation and Its Evolution written by Kim Sterelny and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2024-08-06 with total page 587 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Essays from a range of disciplinary perspectives show the central role that cooperation plays in structuring our world. This collection reports on the latest research on an increasingly pivotal issue for evolutionary biology: cooperation. The chapters are written from a variety of disciplinary perspectives and utilize research tools that range from empirical survey to conceptual modeling, reflecting the rich diversity of work in the field. They explore a wide taxonomic range, concentrating on bacteria, social insects, and, especially, humans. Part I ("Agents and Environments") investigates the connections of social cooperation in social organizations to the conditions that make cooperation profitable and stable, focusing on the interactions of agent, population, and environment. Part II ("Agents and Mechanisms") focuses on how proximate mechanisms emerge and operate in the evolutionary process and how they shape evolutionary trajectories. Throughout the book, certain themes emerge that demonstrate the ubiquity of questions regarding cooperation in evolutionary biology: the generation and division of the profits of cooperation; transitions in individuality; levels of selection, from gene to organism; and the "human cooperation explosion" that makes our own social behavior particularly puzzling from an evolutionary perspective.
