Book India that is Bharat

Download or read book India that is Bharat written by J Sai Deepak and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2021-08-15 with total page 492 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: India, That Is Bharat, the first book of a comprehensive trilogy, explores the influence of European 'colonial consciousness' (or 'coloniality'), in particular its religious and racial roots, on Bharat as the successor state to the Indic civilisation and the origins of the Indian Constitution. It lays the foundation for its sequels by covering the period between the Age of Discovery, marked by Christopher Columbus' expedition in 1492, and the reshaping of Bharat through a British-made constitution-the Government of India Act of 1919. This includes international developments leading to the founding of the League of Nations by Western powers that tangibly impacted this journey. Further, this work also traces the origins of seemingly universal constructs such as 'toleration', 'secularism' and 'humanism' to Christian political theology. Their subsequent role in subverting the indigenous Indic consciousness through a secularised and universalised Reformation, that is, constitutionalism, is examined. It also puts forth the concept of Middle Eastern coloniality, which preceded its European variant and allies with it in the context of Bharat to advance their shared antipathy towards the Indic worldview. In order to liberate Bharat's distinctive indigeneity, 'decoloniality' is presented as a civilisational imperative in the spheres of nature, religion, culture, history, education, language and, crucially, in the realm of constitutionalism.

Book The Content Trap

Download or read book The Content Trap written by Bharat Anand and published by Random House. This book was released on 2016-10-18 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “My favorite book of the year.”—Doug McMillon, CEO, Wal-Mart Stores Harvard Business School Professor of Strategy Bharat Anand presents an incisive new approach to digital transformation that favors fostering connectivity over focusing exclusively on content. NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY BLOOMBERG Companies everywhere face two major challenges today: getting noticed and getting paid. To confront these obstacles, Bharat Anand examines a range of businesses around the world, from The New York Times to The Economist, from Chinese Internet giant Tencent to Scandinavian digital trailblazer Schibsted, and from talent management to the future of education. Drawing on these stories and on the latest research in economics, strategy, and marketing, this refreshingly engaging book reveals important lessons, smashes celebrated myths, and reorients strategy. Success for flourishing companies comes not from making the best content but from recognizing how content enables customers’ connectivity; it comes not from protecting the value of content at all costs but from unearthing related opportunities close by; and it comes not from mimicking competitors’ best practices but from seeing choices as part of a connected whole. Digital change means that everyone today can reach and interact with others directly: We are all in the content business. But that comes with risks that Bharat Anand teaches us how to recognize and navigate. Filled with conversations with key players and in-depth dispatches from the front lines of digital change, The Content Trap is an essential new playbook for navigating the turbulent waters in which we find ourselves. Praise for The Content Trap “A masterful and thought-provoking book that has reshaped my understanding of content in the digital landscape.”—Ariel Emanuel, co-CEO, WME | IMG “The Content Trap is a book filled with stories of businesses, from music companies to magazine publishers, that missed connections and could never escape the narrow views that had brought them past success. But it is also filled with stories of those who made strategic choices to strengthen the links between content and returns in their new master plans. . . . The book is a call to clear thinking and reassessing why things are the way they are.”—The Wall Street Journal

Book DNA of Bharat The World Guru

Download or read book DNA of Bharat The World Guru written by Dr. Jaikaran and published by Prabhat Prakashan. This book was released on with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Like the Ganga emerging from the Himalayas Gomukh, crossing the limitless rocky barriers on the way, is destined to merge in ocean, similarly fighting out obstacles in flow of life man's destiny is to merge in Bhagwan (God), the Creator-Scientist of Creation. Just as each drop of water forms a stream of Ganga, similarly, the collective thoughts of people living in a land is the national ideology of that society. The positive side of our national pride and self-respect is that even during the eight century long subjugation, the eternal culture of the Vedic period remained intact. But from the eleventh century Bharat's politics derailed due to success of foreign invaders, and is now entangled in European ideas of capitalism and communism after independence. The book ‘DNA of Bharat: The World Guru' contains a vivid, simple and easy depiction of the native people of country and their national thoughts. Which are a result of author's holistic view of his political Dharmik and social doings.
