As you delve deeply into this book, you'll see that the book is more than just a homeopathy or psychology book; it is also a tool for your own personal expansion since your newfound awareness can help you break your old patterns and transform your life. Book Beyond the Veil of Delusions Volume 1 Relationships with a Homeopathic Twist

Download or read book Beyond the Veil of Delusions Volume 1 Relationships with a Homeopathic Twist written by Mati H. Fuller and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2007-04-01 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Time doesnâÂÂt heal, understanding does. The purpose for writing this book was to bring more understanding into the unconscious patterns that keep us all in bondage. These patterns were studied by using homeopathic information to determine how different people perceive their reality. Once the patterns became clear, everything became predictable and logical, but the logic in this book is nothing like what you will find in a normal psychology book. In addition to revealing our unconscious patterns, the book wouldnâÂÂt be complete unless it also touched upon what we can do to free ourselves from the bondage or our heritage. This book is therefore more than just a book about homeopathy or psychology; it is a tool for our own personal expansion. As the understanding of our personal life journeys grow deeper, our newfound awareness can help us find ways to leave our stuckness and misery behind so we can, eventually, discover how to live our lives in simplicity, freedom and joy.

Book A Psychological Analysis of the Delusion Rubrics

Download or read book A Psychological Analysis of the Delusion Rubrics written by Liz Lalor and published by Elk Press. This book was released on 2016-04-06 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An invaluable guide for homeopaths and students of homeopathy! Renowned homeopathic counsellor and author, Liz Lalor lectures and writes on the symbiotic relationship between mental and emotional disturbance, and physical pathology. "A Psychological Analysis of the Delusion Rubrics" is an extensive Materia medica adaption of her second book "Homeopathic Psychiatry." In its original form, "Homeopathic Psychiatry" combined homeopathic rubric-repertorisation and traditional counselling techniques to create an invaluable case taking manual. "A Psychological Analysis of the Delusion Rubrics" expands on this with a revised introduction, new Denial chapter and extended Materia medica to address the narrative behind the physical pathology. Homeopathic analysis of disease concentrates on unearthing the peculiar within the patient's story of their life. In this fresh adaption, Lalor focuses attention on the denial process of the patient as they negotiate illness. The peculiar in the patient's narrative is the essence of the understanding of the use and meaning of the Delusion rubrics in case analysis. This book is an invaluable guide, both for homeopaths and students of homeopathy, to fully understand these previously misunderstood and underutilized rubrics in our repertory. ""Liz Lalor's book explores humanness within remedies and reflects the remedy back to the psychodynamic delusion. It makes a difference in understanding my client's needs with incorporating Elizabeth Kubler Ross's 5 stages of grief and guides me in the right direction of support. A wonderful desktop companion for my device and clinic desk."" Sally Bevan, Homeopath ""My entire understanding of delusion rubrics, how to decipher them, and subsequently how to apply them to my case-taking, changed considerably for the better once I had read this very insightful book. Liz's experience with psychotherapy, coupled with her deep understanding of remedies and their psychological profiles, has enabled her to author a book of great significance and profound assistance to the practising homeopath. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to more effectively understand the delusion rubrics, what they really mean and how to apply them in case analysis."" Download or read book The Other Song written by Rajan Sankaran and published by . This book was released on 2008-01-01 with total page 410 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered why the same pattern in your life repeats again and again though you try to change it? Or why an emotion, thought or feeling occurs within you, out of proportion to the circumstance that ‘triggered’ it? Ever felt ‘beside yourself’ or ‘not yourself’ during stressful situations, when it seems almost as if another you emerges? What is it? If you are searching for an answer, this book is the one to read. Dr. Rajan Sankaran, an internationally renowned homoeopath, author, teacher, and innovator has delivered profound insights on the inner human experience. These insights have revolutionized homeopathic practice all over the world and are also universally applicable and highly valuable to any one who is seeking answers to these questions. Stress does not come from external reality but how each one of us experiences it. And we each experience it in a different, completely unique way. When we probe deeper and deeper into our own experience of stress, we traverse different levels of experience of the world, and all that is temporary fades as a level is reached of a constant inner pattern in our lives which underlies all of our experience. This pattern reveals itself as a pure sensation of the being, which is felt in both the mind as well as the body at the same time and eventually expressing in clinically recognisable disease. This pattern or sensation reveals itself as a pattern or energy of something in nature – a plant, an animal or a mineral. Along with our natural human song, another song plays within each of us. This other song drives our emotions, dreams, ambitions, work, relationships, illnesses and even our circumstances. In this book Dr. Sankaran guides us into a world of discovery of the inner world of our experience, where we can go beyond the story, the emotions, the situation, and discern the essence of something in nature, which is often concealed within the human expressions. By paying attention to hand gestures or doodles, unconscious paths of expression of the energy, you can perceive more and more the other song, the song that is causing stress or dis-ease. Awareness of this song’s theme is the beginning of healing

Download or read book The Burdens of Disease written by J. N. Hays and published by Rutgers University Press. This book was released on 2009-10-15 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A review of the original edition of The Burdens of Disease that appeared in ISIS stated, "Hays has written a remarkable book. He too has a message: That epidemics are primarily dependent on poverty and that the West has consistently refused to accept this." This revised edition confirms the book's timely value and provides a sweeping approach to the history of disease. In this updated volume, with revisions and additions to the original content, including the evolution of drug-resistant diseases and expanded coverage of HIV/AIDS, along with recent data on mortality figures and other relevant statistics, J. N. Hays chronicles perceptions and responses to plague and pestilence over two thousand years of western history. Disease is framed as a multidimensional construct, situated at the intersection of history, politics, culture, and medicine, and rooted in mentalities and social relations as much as in biological conditions of pathology. This revised edition of The Burdens of Disease also studies the victims of epidemics, paying close attention to the relationships among poverty, power, and disease.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of all the plants men have ever grown, none has been praised and denounced as often as marihuana (Cannabis sativa). Throughout the ages, marihuana has been extolled as one of man's greatest benefactors and cursed as one of his greatest scourges. Marihuana is undoubtedly a herb that has been many things to many people. Armies and navies have used it to make war, men and women to make love. Hunters and fishermen have snared the most ferocious creatures, from the tiger to the shark, in its herculean weave. Fashion designers have dressed the most elegant women in its supple knit. Hangmen have snapped the necks of thieves and murderers with its fiber. Obstetricians have eased the pain of childbirth with its leaves. Farmers have crushed its seeds and used the oil within to light their lamps. Mourners have thrown its seeds into blazing fires and have had their sorrow transformed into blissful ecstasy by the fumes that filled the air. Marihuana has been known by many names: hemp, hashish, dagga, bhang, loco weed, grass-the list is endless. Formally christened Cannabis sativa in 1753 by Carl Linnaeus, marihuana is one of nature's hardiest specimens. It needs little care to thrive. One need not talk to it, sing to it, or play soothing tranquil Brahms lullabies to coax it to grow. It is as vigorous as a weed. It is ubiquitous. It fluorishes under nearly every possible climatic condition.

Book Reading Fiction in Antebellum America

Download or read book Reading Fiction in Antebellum America written by James L. Machor and published by JHU Press. This book was released on 2011-04-01 with total page 419 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: James L. Machor offers a sweeping exploration of how American fiction was received in both public and private spheres in the United States before the Civil War. Machor takes four antebellum authors—Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville, Catharine Sedgwick, and Caroline Chesebro'—and analyzes how their works were published, received, and interpreted. Drawing on discussions found in book reviews and in private letters and diaries, Machor examines how middle-class readers of the time engaged with contemporary fiction and how fiction reading evolved as an interpretative practice in nineteenth-century America. Through careful analysis, Machor illuminates how the reading practices of nineteenth-century Americans shaped not only the experiences of these writers at the time but also the way the writers were received in the twentieth century. What Machor reveals is that these authors were received in ways strikingly different from how they are currently read, thereby shedding significant light on their present status in the literary canon in comparison to their critical and popular positions in their own time. Machor deftly combines response and reception criticism and theory with work in the history of reading to engage with groundbreaking scholarship in historical hermeneutics. In so doing, Machor takes us ever closer to understanding the particular and varying reading strategies of historical audiences and how they impacted authors’ conceptions of their own readership.

Book A Thesaurus of English Word Roots

Download or read book A Thesaurus of English Word Roots written by Horace Gerald Danner and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2014-03-27 with total page 1007 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Horace G. Danner’s A Thesaurus of English Word Roots is a compendium of the most-used word roots of the English language. As Timothy B. Noone notes in his foreword: “Dr. Danner’s book allows you not only to build up your passive English vocabulary, resulting in word recognition knowledge, but also gives you the rudiments for developing your active English vocabulary, making it possible to infer the meaning of words with which you are not yet acquainted. Your knowledge can now expand and will do so exponentially as your awareness of the roots in English words and your corresponding ability to decode unfamiliar words grows apace. This is the beginning of a fine mental linguistic library: so enjoy!” In A Thesaurus of English Word Roots, all word roots are listed alphabetically, along with the Greek or Latin words from which they derive, together with the roots’ original meanings. If the current meaning of an individual root differs from the original meaning, that is listed in a separate column. In the examples column, the words which contain the root are then listed, starting with their prefixes, for example, dysacousia, hyperacousia. These root-starting terms then are followed by terms where the root falls behind the word, e.g., acouesthesia and acoumeter. These words are followed by words where the root falls in the middle or the end, as in such terms as bradyacusia and odynacusis.. In this manner, A Thesaurus of English Word Roots places the word in as many word families as there are elements in the word. This work will interest linguists and philologists and anyone interested in the etymological aspects of English language.
