This book is not just a bunch of nice ideas that are only good for the mind, it is an invitation to experience Life totally, and live fully, unapologetically, shamelessly as You. This book is for those who are either intrigued by sex but feel a little shy and perhaps have never experienced an orgasm, and for those who are very open yet have the intuition that there must be more to sexuality. And forgive me for running ahead, but yes, there is always more to sexuality. This books is for those who have endless spiritual thirst and those who wish to feel more connected to their true Self in every moment of their life. In the modern day world, we tend to think that sex and spirit are separate from each other. Or, that in order to access the spirit, we need to transcend sex. With this book, I want to serve the healing of the split that we have created between sex and spirit. This split is what causes disconnection, shame, guilt and judgment around something that is the most powerful creative force that moves through human beings - our sexual energy. With this book, I want to reveal the tantric perspective of what is really possible for each human being in this Life. With this book I want to invite you on a journey that will take us through pleasure beyond pleasure. Tantra teaches us to live fully. When someone chooses the path of Tantra, it means they choose to go all the way. To live Tantra means not to shy away from any of the aspects of our life. Book The Case of the Female Orgasm

Download or read book The Case of the Female Orgasm written by Elisabeth A. Lloyd and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2009-07 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why women evolved to have orgasms--when most of their primate relatives don't--is a persistent mystery among evolutionary biologists. In pursuing this mystery, Elisabeth Lloyd arrives at another: How could anything as inadequate as the evolutionary explanations of the female orgasm have passed muster as science? A judicious and revealing look at all twenty evolutionary accounts of the trait of human female orgasm, Lloyd's book is at the same time a case study of how certain biases steer science astray. Over the past fifteen years, the effect of sexist or male-centered approaches to science has been hotly debated. Drawing especially on data from nonhuman primates and human sexology over eighty years, Lloyd shows what damage such bias does in the study of female orgasm. She also exposes a second pernicious form of bias that permeates the literature on female orgasms: a bias toward adaptationism. Here Lloyd's critique comes alive, demonstrating how most of the evolutionary accounts either are in conflict with, or lack, certain types of evidence necessary to make their cases--how they simply assume that female orgasm must exist because it helped females in the past reproduce. As she weighs the evidence, Lloyd takes on nearly everyone who has written on the subject: evolutionists, animal behaviorists, and feminists alike. Her clearly and cogently written book is at once a convincing case study of bias in science and a sweeping summary and analysis of what is known about the evolution of the intriguing trait of female orgasm.

Book The Technology of Orgasm

Download or read book The Technology of Orgasm written by Rachel P. Maines and published by JHU Press. This book was released on 2001-06-15 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author explores hysteria in Western medicine throughout the ages and examines the characterization of female sexuality as a disease requiring treatment. Medical authorities, she writes, were able to defend and justify the clinical production of orgasm in women as necessary to maintain the dominant view of sexuality, which defined sex as penetration to male orgasm - a practice that consistently fails to produce orgasm in a majority of the female population. This male-centered definition of satisfying and healthy coitus shaped not only the development of concepts of female sexual pathology but also the instrumentation designed to cope with them.

  • Author : Betsy Blankenbaker
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2017-11-25

  • Pages : 200 pages

Download or read book Beyond O written by Betsy Blankenbaker and published by . This book was released on 2017-11-25 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2014, Betsy Blankenbaker released her first book, Autobiography of an Orgasm, a spiritual memoir about her five years researching orgasm as a way to heal. The U.K.'s Sunday Times called it "part erotica, part refreshingly sincere roadmap for the orgasmically challenged... sort of an anti- Fifty Shades of Grey." By the time Betsy completed her book, she had healed her body and mind from the sexual assaults she experienced as a child and teenager, and from a date rape as an adult. She felt herself coming to life at age fifty, a time when many women are being dismissed by society. There were consequences for speaking up-some of them unpleasant. She wondered if she should have stayed quiet so that she didn't offend or hurt or disappoint other people. How many of us don't speak our truth because we fear rejection or being abandoned by others? We choose to stay quiet-and then we abandon ourselves. Beyond O is the captivating follow-up to Autobiography of an Orgasm. Through her personal storytelling, Betsy makes you question your current views on sex and sensuality as she focuses less on the orgasm and more on living an orgasmic life. She uses humor and truth-telling as she invites the reader into the most sensual year of her life. By the end of the book - and an unexpected twist - Betsy will make you want to speak up too.
