Download or read book Brave Beautiful and Baring it All written by Rhyanna Watson and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2020-01-14 with total page 189 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this bold, compassionate title, yoga teacher, wellness trainer and social media sensation Rhyanna Watson - who has come out the other side of a lot of personal trauma both stronger and happier - explores how to strip back your protective layers, feel brave and beautiful again, and make the rest of your life the best of your life. Rhyanna's nurturing yet empowering text encourages us to get out of our heads and more into our bodies and hearts in order to reconnect with both ourselves and others - to feel less judged, more accepted; less flawed, more worthy; less insecure, more confident; less scared, more loved. As the title suggests, the key message is that it's only when we're willing to be brave, open our minds and hearts, get fit from the inside out, and both 'bare' it all (allowing ourselves to be vulnerable when appropriate) and 'bear' it all (accepting both the good and the bad with patience and grace) that we will be able to feel our most beautiful and live our best lives. Being brave doesn't mean we have to jump out of planes or fight lions of course! It simply means being open enough to really get to know and love ourselves, stripped of all societal pressures and expectations. And when it comes to being beautiful, well, we're all beautiful in our own ways, so it's just about accepting our own truth and embracing and believing in ourselves!

Download or read book Brave Not Perfect written by Reshma Saujani and published by Currency. This book was released on 2019-02-05 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER • Inspired by her popular TED Talk, the founder and CEO of Girls Who Code urges women to embrace imperfection and live a bolder, more authentic life. “A timely message for women of all ages: Perfection isn’t just impossible but, worse, insidious.”—Angela Duckworth, bestselling author of Grit Imagine if you lived without the fear of not being good enough. If you didn’t care how your life looked on Instagram. If you could let go of the guilt and stop beating yourself up for making human mistakes. Imagine if, in every decision you faced, you took the bolder path? As women, too many of us feel crushed under the weight of our own expectations. We run ourselves ragged trying to please everyone, pass up opportunities that scare us, and avoid rejection at all costs. There’s a reason we act this way, Saujani says. As girls, we were taught to play it safe. Well-meaning parents and teachers praised us for being quiet and polite, urged us to be careful so we didn’t get hurt, and steered us to activities at which we could shine. As a result, we grew up to be women who are afraid to fail. It’s time to stop letting our fears drown out our dreams and narrow our world, along with our chance at happiness. By choosing bravery over perfection, we can find the power to claim our voice, to leave behind what makes us unhappy, and to go for the things we genuinely, passionately want. Perfection may set us on a path that feels safe, but bravery leads us to the one we’re authentically meant to follow. In Brave, Not Perfect,Saujani shares powerful insights and practices to help us let go of our need for perfection and make bravery a lifelong habit. By being brave, not perfect, we can all become the authors of our best and most joyful life.

Ready or not, God is calling us all to go somewhere new in our walk with Him. So what are we waiting for? Let’s answer His call. Let’s get started!
Download or read book Bald Brave and Bloody Beautiful written by Danielle McDermott and published by . This book was released on 2021-03-24 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: November 1st 2018 is one of those days that stays with you for the rest of your life. You see that was the day I found a small lump in my left breast, you never forget that moment as inside I was filled with dread, fear and worry of what the future held. I had seen several family members in the past few months being diagnosed with that dreaded disease, breast cancer. This find was made even more traumatic as the next day I was attending a dinner at St George's Hall, Liverpool, an iconic ceremonial building known throughout the world and the first building visitors see as they exit Lime street station. It's so iconic that it has been used as a backdrop for film locations for numerous worldwide movies in recent years. I was attending this dinner as I had been nominated for two awards. One was for Employee of the year, a massive honour and the other was for Innovator of the year. These are two extremely prestigious awards within my place of work, Aintree University Hospital. Wow I can hear you say, well so did I. I'm not apologising as I was absolutely over the moon for reasons I will go into later in my story.
