Book Deceptions and Counterfeits Satan Uses to Overcome Christians

Download or read book Deceptions and Counterfeits Satan Uses to Overcome Christians written by Henry Bardsley and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-10-03 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Lord exhorted me to expose Satan's lies. One day while writing about Satan's lies, a change in perspective took place. I began writing about his lies, deceptions, and counterfeits from Satan's point of view-what his objectives, strategies, and plans are to overcome Christians. I immediately noticed a marked increase in clarity and understanding of his schemes when I took the approach of "if I were Satan I would......" I am convinced that 21st century western Christians are deficient in their knowledge and understanding of Satan's schemes. My objective for this book is to bring Satan's schemes out into the light so that Christians are aware of his lies, deceptions, idols, and counterfeits and as a result are better prepared to overcome him. In this book I portray, take on the role of Chief Administrative Secretary on Satan's staff-one with intimate knowledge of Satan's strategies and operational plans. Also included are Satan's evaluations of his current success in overcoming Christians. The book focuses on Four Prevents that Satan employs to overcome Christians: prevent Christ from reigning as Lord in the heart, prevent Christians from hearing the voice of God, prevent Christians from doing the works of God, and prevent the growth and dominion of the Body of Christ. A few examples of the deceptions used by Satan on Christians who mistakenly believe: that they know Jesus, that knowledge and light are the same, that belief and believing are equivalent, and that they are not like the Pharisees. A few examples of the counterfeits established by Satan are: replace the voice of the Holy Spirit with the voice of religious leaders, replace the authority of the Holy Spirit with the authority of man, replace the voice of the Holy Spirit with the Bible, and create the institutional church in the likeness of the Body of Christ. The book also includes Satan's counterattack on Jesus' messages to the seven Asian churches in Revelation 1-3 and on his victories over today's churches.

Download or read book Getting Rid of Counterfeits written by Bobby Laws and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2016-08-31 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Choices! In life, they will make or break you. God offers you choices, and the devil offers you choices. While we would like to believe that the choices God offers us are good and will look much different from the ones that the devil presents, the reality is that sometimes we have difficulty distinguishing between good choices and bad choices. The enemy works really hard in disguising himself as an angel of light, attempting to deceive us into making bad decisions. For every authentic blessing God desires to give you, the devil will offer you a surrogate in its place. Getting Rid of Counterfeits reveals the enemys plan to fool you. It exposes the fake relationships, mentors, jobs, and mind-sets that the devil offers to keep you in bondage. Getting Rid of Counterfeits is truly an eye-opener!

Download or read book Am I a Deceived Hypocrite written by John Etchberger and published by . This book was released on 2021-05-31 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many professing Christians are convinced that they are children of God, that they will go to heaven when they die. But they rarely ask themselves, "Is there a difference between those born of the flesh and those born of the Spirit of God? In this way, Satan continues to deceive humankind as he first prevailed against Adam and Eve in the garden, causing them to be cast out of paradise. Based on more than 25 years of ongoing research, George Barna of the Barna Group identifies two segments of Christianity that differ by how they define a successful life. For "Captive Christians", success is obedience to God, as demonstrated by consistently serving Christ and carrying out His commands and principles. For "Casual Christians", success is balancing everything exactly right so that they can maximize their opportunities and joys in life without undermining their perceived relationship with God and others. This difference is not just a recent occurrence. As the religious fervor of the Great Awakening lessened following 1742, Jonathan Edwards, considered by many to be the foremost theologian in American history, realized that, in addition to those who are genuinely converted during such times, there are people whose lives change, but they never fundamentally become genuine believers. This book synthesizes the thoughts of Jonathan Edwards about the distinguishing characteristics of genuine vs. counterfeit faith with my own thoughts about how what Edwards wrote is equally important for, and applicable today. The overarching purpose is to challenge each reader to struggle with the question, "Am I a deceived hypocrite?" Our desire is to help each reader engage with critical points presented in each chapter, to use them to examine the genuineness of their own faith. To facilitate such an examination, we include at the end of each chapter specific questions for you to consider as you do so. In this way, we hope that you will be assisted in closely examining the genuineness of your faith according to the clear light provided in God's word.

Book excerpt: Jen Oshman Helps Women Reject Idols and Discover God's Good Purpose for Their Lives In today's culture, women and girls are influenced by idols that promise purpose and meaning for their lives—outward beauty and ability, sex, abortion, and gender fluidity. Christian women aren't exempt from these temptations either, and can even elevate good things like marriage and motherhood to the status of idolatry. Women may sense that these idols are hollow and leave them feeling unsettled, but where should they turn instead? In Cultural Counterfeits, Jen Oshman encourages women to reject the empty, destructive promises these idols offer and embrace something much more satisfying. She casts a vision for women to experience real hope and peace in Jesus, calling them to recognize their unshakable and eternal identities in him. This timely and compelling resource will help women find freedom and joy as they explore God's good design and purpose for their lives. Book Confronting Familiar Spirits

Download or read book Confronting Familiar Spirits written by Frank Hammond and published by Impact Christian Books. This book was released on 1988-01-01 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two human personalities can form a relationship, and, through communication and communion, that relationship can be enhanced. Likewise, a person can form and develop a close relationship with an evil spirit, whether for knowledge or gain. When a person forms a relationship with an evil spirit, he then has a familiar spirit. Familiar spirits are counterfeits of the Holy Spirit's work. Anyone who has fellowship with God, and who is led by the Holy Spirit, does not need a familiar spirit, for God provides him with all that he needs. As with anything occult, involvement with familiar spirits creates spiritual defilement: "Regard not them that have familiar spirits...to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God." Lev. 19:31
