Book Aspirations of Thought Word and Deed

Download or read book Aspirations of Thought Word and Deed written by Michael Hall and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-05-28 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was written as a collection of free-verse poetry with the theme being observations from an individuals point of view, reactions to current events, and then aspiration to a higher edification . I have come to a personal conclusion that the greatest objective one can achieve here is to transform love into service. To dissipate ones desires. To discover and embrace an exemplary purpose and this fidelity becomes the caliper of faith, which is the measure of ones worth. Any of us must live according to a belief or risk living a life unfulfilled, undefined, to live selfishly. I aspire.

Book Treasury of Precious Qualities Book One

Download or read book Treasury of Precious Qualities Book One written by Longchen Yeshe Dorje and published by Shambhala Publications. This book was released on 2010-04-20 with total page 574 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a translation of the first part of Jigme Lingpa’s Treasury of Precious Qualities, which in a slender volume of elegant verses sets out briefly but comprehensively the Buddhist path according to the Nyingma school. The concision of the root text and its use of elaborate poetic language, rich in metaphor, require extensive explanation, amply supplied here by the commentary of Kangyur Rinpoche. The present volume lays out the teachings of the sutras in gradual stages according to the traditional three levels, or scopes, of spiritual endeavor. It begins with essential teachings on impermanence, karma, and ethics. Then, from the Hinayana standpoint, it describes the essential Buddhist teachings of the four noble truths and the twelve links of dependent arising. Moving on, finally, to the Mahayana perspective, it expounds fully the teachings on bodhichitta and the path of the six paramitas, and gives an unusually detailed exposition of Buddhist vows.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice known as Dzogchen is a pragmatic method for getting in touch with the pure, clear awareness that is hidden under our constant flow of anxious thoughts. Dzogchen Essentials makes available the methods to meet and utilize this rich spiritual path. Marcia Binder Schmidt, a long time, close attendant to one of the foremost Dzogchen Masters of the last century, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, has put together the most comprehensive and accessible collection of the essential instructions vital to this subject. She has organized them into a handbook for the genuine trainee of this tradition. The book includes a useful preface an introductory teaching by a leading Dzogchen Master as well as classical and original pieces that impart crucial explanations. This is a book for the layperson as well as the scholar. For centuries, Dzogchen has been a secretly held and privately transmitted teaching, which was unknown beyond the confines of Tibetan culture. But that changed in the final decades of the last century, as many Tibetans saw the long-awaited unfolding of a famous ninth-century prophecy: "When the Dark Age is rampant, the Dzogchen teachings will blaze like wildfire."

Book Tojik Indian Yoga Secrets

Download or read book Tojik Indian Yoga Secrets written by Sobirov and published by Partridge Publishing. This book was released on 2013-10-01 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book has got four parts. The first one is basically autobiographical with a view to bring home the readers how Abdul Vahab Sobirov, a Muslim by birth gets so much engrossed in a system he would hardly get any support from his tradition. But Sobirov takes the readers much farther to suggest that the present divide caused by known history will no way affect the imminent fundamental unity of mankind which must usher in a short while from now. Part Two imparts some of the important principles of Yoga teachings. Part Three is the India of Sobir s dream and aspiration. It also records Indias thick relationship with him. The Fourth part strongly urges that Yoga is now a Global Cult and it should undoubtedly unite all peoples on the earth to live in harmony and peace for ever. In the appendix part Sobirov has reproduced some valuable information about the values of food stuff we take and should be aware of in our daily food habit. Its editor and co-author PD Mishra evidently contributes substantially with a cross-border bond of unity (Yoga) by his intrinsic presence throughout.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche (1921—1996) was widely acknowledged as one of the great meditation masters of modern times. Erik Pema Kunsang and Marcia Schmidt, founders of Rangjung Publications, live in Kathmandu, Nepal, and Albion, CA.Treasures from Juniper Ridgeis a collection of “hidden” ortermateachings given by Padmasambhava, the Tantric master who brought Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet. According to Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Padmasambhava hid many teachings to be uncovered later by “revealers of hidden treasures.” The special quality of thetermateachings is that they provide guidance appropriate for each period of time and individual person. By working with Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsogyal, his mystic spiritual consort, was able to compile and codify these precious insights and hide them for use by future generations. Treasures from Juniper Ridgepresents a variety of significant revelations for seekers on the advanced path of the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition, as well as in-depth explanations of assorted aspects of practice: deity-focused meditation, nonconceptual meditation, death and dying, and recognizing the nature of mind. The book outlines ways for the modern student to apply these teachings while remaining true to Vajrayana Buddhism’s traditional principles

From the whispers of the desert's nomadic tribes to the mysteries of megalithic structures that have stood the test of time, each chapter reveals a forgotten facet of human ingenuity and resilience. As you turn the pages, you'll find yourself immersed in the celestial wonders of ancient astronomy, the sacred knowledge of aquatic civilizations, and the healing power of earth-bound remedies passed down through generations. In "Forgotten Earth Guardians," you’ll discover the lost libraries of ancient texts and the enduring power of oral traditions that continue to echo in our modern world. The book explores the environmental ethics of animistic beliefs, the precision of ancient calendars, and the governance models that once guided thriving civilizations. These chapters not only offer a glimpse into the past but also challenge us to rethink our approach to leadership, spirituality, and community in the present. The wisdom of our ancestors, whether found in the way they organized their cities or how they revered the natural world, holds profound lessons for our contemporary struggles. The book also celebrates the unsung heroes of ancient times-the silent guardians who shaped society from the shadows. From the agricultural techniques that sustained civilizations to the engineering feats that still baffle modern minds, the contributions of women and the role of spirituality in daily life are brought to light. As the final chapter unfolds, we are reminded of the importance of preserving knowledge, as the last scribes left behind the art of writing and record-keeping for future generations.
