The Action Plan froms part of the Asia-Pacific Migratory Waterbird Conservation Strategy. The Action Plan Addresses various actions to conserve Anatidae and their habitats, focusing especially on the populations with unfavourable conservation status,identified from the population estimates in the flyway. A committee was proposed to promote the implementation of conservation efforts addressed in the Action Plan.
