A sensitivity analysis of the strakes in different positions and orientations was conducted on 3 simplified bow forms to verify the predictive accuracy of the Carter model under such extremes of contact configurations. Finally, a second model test program was run to perform comparative testing against an existing ship's shape. A 1:15 scale model of the Louis S. St. Laurent was selected for testing as a base for comparison.
