Las principales leyes, que contienen disposiciones singulares en esta materia, son la Ley de Navegación y Comercio Marítimos, y su Reglamento; la Ley de Puertos y su Reglamento. De manera supletoria, se aplica la legislación civil, mercantil, internacional, inter alia.
