Book Angels Don t Live in Hell

Download or read book Angels Don t Live in Hell written by Nadia and published by Archway Publishing. This book was released on 2022-01-31 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nadia immigrated to the United States with her family as a little girl. Growing up poor, she found an unconventional way to make easy money and live a life she never imagined. With that financial freedom, she helped many of her family members, in more ways than one. Subsequently, she married a man and had two children. What she thought would be her seventh heaven, turned out to be a nightmare that would sink her into an abyss of despair. From the outside, her life seemed great, but behind closed doors, she experienced domestic abuse. Nadia finally mustered the courage to leave, but she never anticipated the hell divorcing an indomitable narcissist would be. In Angels Don’t Live in Hell, she tells the story of her journey—the good, the bad, and the ugly, and the lessons she learned the hard way. This memoir covers love and unfathomable suffering. It talks about the ever-so-judged world of stripping. It discusses physical, financial, and emotional abuse. Angels Don’t Live in Hell shares the sense of being deeply in love and living a lavish lifestyle of extreme wealth one minute, while being left without the bare necessities and despising her spouse the next. From love bombing to trauma bond issues, betrayals and lies, Nadia offers insight into experiencing narcissist abuse and the effects of divorce, court proceedings, arrests, and counter-parenting issues.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? Do Christians need to rethink their understanding of hell? In the late twentieth century, a growing number of evangelical theologians, biblical scholars, and philosophers began to reject the traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment in hell in favor of a minority theological perspective called conditional immortality. This view contends that the unsaved are resurrected to face divine judgment, just as Christians have always believed, but due to the fact that immortality is only given to those who are in Christ, the unsaved do not exist forever in hell. Instead, they face the punishment of the "second death"--an end to their conscious existence. This volume brings together excerpts from a variety of well-respected evangelical thinkers, including John Stott, John Wenham, and E. Earl Ellis, as they articulate the biblical, theological, and philosophical arguments for conditionalism. These readings will give thoughtful Christians strong evidence that there are indeed compelling reasons for rethinking hell.

Book Exile on Front Street

Download or read book Exile on Front Street written by George Christie and published by Macmillan. This book was released on 2016-09-20 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I hadn't planned on writing a book when I quit the Hells Angels. After forty years in the Hells Angels, George Christie was ready to retire. As president of the high-profile Ventura charter of the club, he had been the yin to Sonny Barger’s yang. Barger was the reckless figurehead and de facto world leader of the Hells Angels. Christie was the negotiator, the spokesman, the thinker, the guy who smoothed things out. He was the one who carried the Olympic torch and counted movie stars, artists, rock musicians, and police chief captains among his friends. But leaving the Hells Angels isn’t easy, and within two weeks of retirement, he was told he was “out bad”—blackballed by his fellow Angels, prohibited from wearing the club patch, and even told he should remove his Death Head tattoo. Now Christie sets out to tell his story. Exile on Front Street is the tale of how a former Marine gave up a comfortable job with the Department of Defense and swore allegiance to the Hells Angels. In this revealing, hard-hitting memoir, he recounts his life as an outlaw biker with the world’s most infamous motorcycle club.

Download or read book Hell s Angels written by Hunter S. Thompson and published by Ballantine Books. This book was released on 2012-08-01 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gonzo journalist and literary roustabout Hunter S. Thompson flies with the angels—Hell’s Angels, that is—in this short work of nonfiction. “California, Labor Day weekend . . . early, with ocean fog still in the streets, outlaw motorcyclists wearing chains, shades and greasy Levis roll out from damp garages, all-night diners and cast-off one-night pads in Frisco, Hollywood, Berdoo and East Oakland, heading for the Monterey peninsula, north of Big Sur. . . The Menace is loose again.” Thus begins Hunter S. Thompson’s vivid account of his experiences with California’s most notorious motorcycle gang, the Hell’s Angels. In the mid-1960s, Thompson spent almost two years living with the controversial Angels, cycling up and down the coast, reveling in the anarchic spirit of their clan, and, as befits their name, raising hell. His book successfully captures a singular moment in American history, when the biker lifestyle was first defined, and when such countercultural movements were electrifying and horrifying America. Thompson, the creator of Gonzo journalism, writes with his usual bravado, energy, and brutal honesty, and with a nuanced and incisive eye; as The New Yorker pointed out, “For all its uninhibited and sardonic humor, Thompson’s book is a thoughtful piece of work.” As illuminating now as when originally published in 1967, Hell’s Angels is a gripping portrait, and the best account we have of the truth behind an American legend.

Book excerpt: Bobby Dollar has a problem or four of epic proportions. Problem one: his best friend Sam has given him an angel's feather that also happens to be evidence of an unholy pact between Bobby's employers and those who dwell in the infernal depths. Problem two: Eligor, Grand Duke of Hell, wants to get his claws on the feather at all costs, but particularly at all cost to Bobby . Problem three: Bobby has fallen in love with Casimira, Countess of Cold Hands, who just happens to be Eligor's girlfriend. Problem four: Eligor, aware of Problem three, has whisked Casimira off to the Bottomless Pit itself, telling Bobby he will never see her again unless he hands over the feather. But Bobby, long-time veteran of the endless war between above and below, is not the type of guy who finds Hell intimidating. All he has to do is toss on a demon's body, sneak through the infernal gates, solve the mystery of the angel's feather, and rescue the girl. Saving the day should just be a matter of an eon or two of anguish, mutilation and horror. If only it were that easy.

Book The Travelers

Download or read book The Travelers written by Joseph Lima Sconce and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2013-07 with total page 665 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The main theme of my book is that the afterlife is real and substantial and that all of us, when we arrive there at some point, will soon realize this. Our spiritual bodies are very much like our natural bodies, except that the spiritual bodies are in perfect shape. Life in the afterlife is, at least superficially, very much like life on Earth. People in the spiritual world live in real places: beautiful cities or country locations in heaven, and noisome slums in hell. People there work as they do on Earth—willingly and joyously in heaven, not so in hell. They also enjoy time off from work, which is marvelous in heaven and, within strict limits, somewhat enjoyable in Hell. We are full human beings in the afterlife, up to and including that dreaded word for most religions—sex. But in the spiritual world, time and space function differently, being fluid and connected to our thoughts and emotions; deception is nearly impossible, and the economy is a moneyless one.

Book APOSTLE PAUL S LIFE AND MINISTRY

Download or read book APOSTLE PAUL S LIFE AND MINISTRY written by GODSWORD GODSWILL ONU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-03-11 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are great things which we can learn from Apostle Paul's life and ministry. And he said, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ" (1 Cor. 11:1). This is to say that Christ Jesus is our Perfect Example. Therefore, if you are looking up to someone, and you failed, disobeyed, or backslid because the person failed, disobeyed, or backslid, then you have no excuse, because our Perfect Example, Whom the Word tells us to look unto, never failed nor disobeyed. Yet, Apostle Paul's conversion, zeal for God, passion for the Gospel, commitment to the ministry, suffering for Christ, despising of his life, and other things, will really challenge and encourage us.

Download or read book THE PRAYER MINISTRY written by GODSWORD GODSWILL ONU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-03-22 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The prayer ministry has to do with ministering to people - Believers and unbelievers - through prayer, intercession, and supplication. Every Believer in Christ Jesus has a level of ministry in prayer towards people - both to the Saints and the sinners. You pray for the people you preach to; and you pray to God to help this or that person in one area or the other. However, there are people who have greater responsibility, in ministry and assignment, to pray for different kinds of people and for the Plan and Purpose of God to come to pass on this earth. Of course, this does not mean that prayer is (or must be) the only ministry that the person has; because an apostle, a prophet, an evangelist, a pastor, a teacher, a deacon, a musician, an usher, and others can have a strong call in praying and interceding for people, communities, churches, ministries, regions, and nations.

Book ORDERLINESS AND DISORDERLINESS

Download or read book ORDERLINESS AND DISORDERLINESS written by GODSWORD GODSWILL ONU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-04 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Orderliness refers to the fact of having a regular, proper, and systematic arrangement. It is the quality of being in a good order. Orderliness is being in an ordered manner. An orderly thing can be by virtue of being methodical and well organized. God likes and cherishes orderliness and doing things orderly. The Word of God says, "Let all things be done decently and in order" (1 Cor. 14:40). In manner, behaviour, and actions, orderliness has to do with obedience to the Word of God. Disobedience is disorderliness. When God sent King Saul on a mission to annihilate the Amalekites and their livestock, he obeyed; but his obedience was partial obedience, which God counted as disobedience. And his story is a pathetic story, because he might have done what he did with good intentions. But what is good in disobeying God's Word, Command, and Instructions? He was disorderly and disobedient before the Almighty. There should be orderliness in the church, in the family, in the society, etc.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The anointing received is the deciding factor of the truth on this subject, which is unparallel in content as being current, biblical and to the point. Why are you angels here, where are you coming from and do you give a ?damn? where you are going!? This book intend to bring a resolution to these questions and if eternal damnation is obvious, redemption is also plausible; as one extremity has a equal opposite, except in the case of God. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isaiah 1:18).

Book excerpt: Bestselling and award-winning author Lee Strobel interviews experts about the evidence for the afterlife and offers credible answers to the most provocative questions about what happens when we die, near-death experiences, heaven, and hell. We all want to know what awaits us on the other side of death, but is there any reliable evidence that there is life after death? Investigative author Lee Strobel offers a lively and compelling study into one of the most provocative topics of our day. Through fascinating conversations with respected scholars and experts--a neuroscientist from Cambridge University, a researcher who analyzed a thousand accounts of near-death experiences, and an atheist-turned-Christian-philosopher--Strobel offers compelling reasons for why death is not the end of our existence but a transition to an exciting world to come. Looking at biblical accounts, Strobel unfolds what awaits us after we take our last breath and answers questions like: Is there an afterlife? What is heaven like? How will we spend our time there? And what does it mean to see God face to face? With a balanced approach, Strobel examines the alternative of Hell and the logic of damnation, and gives a careful look at reincarnation, universalism, the exclusivity claims of Christ, and other issues related to the topic of life after death. With vulnerability, Strobel shares the experience of how he nearly died years ago and how the reality of death can shape our lives and faith. Follow Strobel on this journey of discovery of the entirely credible, believable, and exhilarating life to come.

Book THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD

Download or read book THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD written by GODSWORD GODSWILL ONU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-03-04 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sons of God have grown in the Lord, and they are no more babies, infants, or boys; and sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. They obey the Word of God and have close relationship with God. They know God and understand His Will and Ways. We are supposed to be different from the people of the world, and we are supposed to prove to them that we are the Offsprings of God and carry the ability that they don't carry. To begin with, we should not speak the way they speak: even if things seem to be hopeless, we should speak forth words of faith. As we demonstrate the Spirit and power, and live supernaturally and extra-ordinarily, we show the world that we are the sons of God. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glory your Father in Heaven.
