He explores the theoretical foundations of Inductive Bible Study as an approach, which focuses on the meaning of biblical texts in their final form by incorporating insights from multifarious methodologies. Based on the final form of the letter and its compositional unity, he prioritizes the literary context as consequential evidence for interpretation. Hiramatsu argues that there are two major components of the literary structure: the division of the letter and the identification of major structural relationships within and between the divided parts. Thus, he proposes that 2 Corinthians consists of seven major segments which coherently develop Paul's discourse pertaining to ministry, and discusses the implications regarding his theology of theocentric ministry and that of weakness that arise from a literary investigation. Hiramatsu demonstrates that an inductive and integrative approach not only presents a more suitable and helpful literary structure for 2 Corinthians, but also illustrates the relevance of such study when seeking to gain understanding of the theological implications of the letter.

Where the word of God becomes your investment. You're growing spiritually. Spiritual growth is not how many hours you pray in tongues. You measure your spiritual growth by how much you are conforming to the nature and the ways of God. The bible says that as we behold, we're transformed. So if by January till now, you can trace a notable transformation that you now understand the ways of God, you understand the Kingdom of God and the system of this Kingdom, you understand the nature of your king, you understand the revelation, promises and the responsibilities that come with this kingdom, and that you can relate intimately with the spirit of God who is the governor of this Kingdom, then you can say you're growing. It gives theological expression to not only the pneumatological nature of Pentecostal praxis, but also the fundamental role of the Holy Spirit in the biblical narrative of redemption. The book challenges popular western atonement theologies to re-think their Christocentrism and crucicentrism as well as their atomistic tendency to separate soteriology into objective (Christological) and subjective (pneumatolgical) categories.
