Book excerpt: Dear Parents, The Indonesian Spelling System (Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia, EBI), often referred to as the Indonesian Spelling System General Manual (Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia, PUEBI) is the spelling system used for the Indonesian language. It was formerly known as the Enhanced Spelling System (Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan, EYD). The system is an orthography released in 1972 was to replace the Republican Spelling System (RSS, also called the Soewandi Spelling System, SSS). 1972 Indonesian alphabet reform was seen mainly as a concession of Dutch-based Indonesian to the English-based spelling of Malaysian. The language is a basic characteristic which constitutes one's own representation of who you are. Children and Parents may feel that using English as a common language, it won't matter whether they learn Indonesian or not. It happens that your child might just stop speaking Indonesian, leading to identity change. Since a child's Indonesian language skills are lacking, they will not be able to interact well in Indonesian as they do in English. How can parents support their child's learning process? Here the solution is! This book enables your kids to practice and learn letters, words in an interesting way.
