The number of deaths of the disease in the city, amounted to about 200; those at Bellevue Hospital to 5 2 and those at the Marine Hospital, sent from the city, to 28. The num ber of cases of malignant fever reported to the Board of Health amounted to about 600. It is proper, likewise, in estimating the extent of the epidemic, to notice an unascer; tained number, probably about 40, who after their flight from the city, died in various parts of the country.
