Book THE RAPTURE REFLECTION

Download or read book THE RAPTURE REFLECTION written by Gregg R. Nystrom and published by Gregg R. Nystrom. This book was released on 2022-10-23 with total page 82 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The debate over the timing of the Rapture has not waned. Will the faithful Church be taken up before the Tribulation, somewhere in the middle of it, or at the very end? In this work, I show an incredible Biblical pattern that clearly indicates a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Along the way, further proof that there will be 7,000 years of human history corresponding to the seven days of Creation is offered. The last thousand years will be a sabbath millennium of rest instituted at the Second Coming of Jesus, and we are living in the brief window of time when the Rapture and Tribulation that proceeds this Millennial Reign of Christ must occur! The third section of the book answers some of the scientific objections to the Rapture, the 7,000 years, and some of the other literal history and prophecies of the Bible. It's time to wake up, because we are approaching the End of Days!

Book MY INCREDIBLE JOURNEY

Download or read book MY INCREDIBLE JOURNEY written by Troy L. Palmer and published by Author House. This book was released on 2014-08-22 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I came from a poor family, but was afforded all the opportunities to make myself a better person than my parents, who did not have those opportunities. My childhood days were hard living on a farm, getting up early in the morning, doing my chores and then walking two miles to school. My high school days was not as good as expected and I put that to the conditions under which I had to deal with, living away from home, sometimes under unpleasant situations, and then getting up at 5:00 am to travel by train to Georgetown to get to school. I remember reading that Abraham Lincoln had to walk six miles per day to go to school, and he became one of the best President of the United States of America. My studies were cut short to assist my family when they were faced with major problems. I realized that the experience I gained by joining the SSU made me a better person. As I began my life anew I was determined to be successful in whatever my endeavors were. Success comes with hard work and perseverance and I took advantage of all the windows of opportunities that came my way, like forming Patrician Phone Corporation and South Jamaica Services, and running for Congress. To the readers of my autobiography, especially the younger generation, I want to tell you that the sky is not the limit. There are many opportunities out there, you have to take the time to look for what interests you. If I had to live my life over again, I would probably do the same things all over again, but I think with less mistakes. I have no regrets because I did it my all way.

Book GenTech

  • Author : Rick Chromey
  • Publisher : Morgan James Publishing
  • Release : 2020-02-04
  • ISBN : 1642796727
  • Pages : 240 pages

Download or read book GenTech written by Rick Chromey and published by Morgan James Publishing. This book was released on 2020-02-04 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A social historian examines the use of technology in modern U.S. history and offers a different way to group American generations. The G.I. Generation. Silents. Baby Boomers. Gen Xers. Millenials. Generation Z. Every generation has its label and box. But the real question is: Why? Enter GenTech. It’s a whole new way to look at American generations. Instead of the conventional fixed and linear dates for generational cohorts, Dr. Rick Chromey proposes a fresh understanding that’s fluid and more of a loop, rooted to the technology each generation experiences in their “coming of age” years. Since 1900, there has been more technological change than in all of previous combined history. The airplane. The automobile. Radio. Television. Nuclear energy. Rockets. Internet. Cellphones. Robots. Furthermore, there’s a massive cultural shifting unlike anything witnessed since the Dark Ages gave way to the Renaissance, Reformation, Enlightenment, Scientific, and Industrial Ages. Consequently, postmodern generations (born since 1960) have grown up in a new, cyber, wireless, and visual high-tech culture that’s forever changed how we do business, learn, socialize, broadcast, entertain, and worship. It’s technology that shapes us, gives every generation its personality, and seeds who we’ll become tomorrow. GenTech opens a whole new perspective on how to view the world and understand why every generation matters. Praise for GenTech “Whether you’re a technology nerd or wizard, this intriguing book will help you connect the digital dots. You’ll see how technology is profoundly shaping our culture—and you, like it or not. Plus, you’ll discover how technology affects each generation differently, for better or worse.”—Thom Schultz, co-author of Don’t Just Teach…Reach!

Book Life and Loss

  • Publisher : Routledge
  • Release : 2013-11-20
  • ISBN : 1136222405
  • Pages : 287 pages

Download or read book Life and Loss written by Linda Goldman and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-11-20 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many clinicians recognize that denying or ignoring grief issues in children leaves them feeling alone and that acknowledging loss is crucial part of a child’s healthy development. Really dealing with loss in productive ways, however, is sometimes easier said than done. For decades, Life and Loss has been the book clinicians have relied on for a full and nuanced presentation of the many issues with which grieving children grapple as well as an honest exploration of the interrelationship between unresolved grief, educational success, and responsible citizenry. The third edition of Life and Loss brings this exploration firmly into the twenty-first century and makes a convincing case that children’s grief is no longer restricted only to loss-identified children. Children’s grief is now endemic; it is global. Life and Loss is not just the book clinicians need to understand grief in the twenty-first century—it’s the book they need to work with it in constructive ways.

Book Fighting and Writing

  • Author : Luise White
  • Publisher : Duke University Press
  • Release : 2021-02-08
  • ISBN : 1478021284

Download or read book Fighting and Writing written by Luise White and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2021-02-08 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Fighting and Writing Luise White brings the force of her historical insight to bear on the many war memoirs published by white soldiers who fought for Rhodesia during the 1964–1979 Zimbabwean liberation struggle. In the memoirs of white soldiers fighting to defend white minority rule in Africa long after other countries were independent, White finds a robust and contentious conversation about race, difference, and the war itself. These are writings by men who were ambivalent conscripts, generally aware of the futility of their fight—not brutal pawns flawlessly executing the orders and parroting the rhetoric of a racist regime. Moreover, most of these men insisted that the most important aspects of fighting a guerrilla war—tracking and hunting, knowledge of the land and of the ways of African society—were learned from black playmates in idealized rural childhoods. In these memoirs, African guerrillas never lost their association with the wild, even as white soldiers boasted of bringing Africans into the intimate spaces of regiment and regime.

Book Politics of Identity in Post Conflict States

Download or read book Politics of Identity in Post Conflict States written by Éamonn Ó Ciardha and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-12-14 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ireland and the Balkans have come to represent divided and (re)united communities. They both provide effective microcosms of national, ethnic, political, military, religious, ideological and cultural conflicts in their respective regions and, as a result, they demonstrate real and imaginary divisions. This book will specifically focus on the history, politics and literature of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Northern Ireland, while making comparative reference to some of Europe’s other disputed and divided regions. Using case-studies such as Kosovo and Serbia; Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Russia and Belarus; Greece and Macedonia, it examines ‘space’, ‘place’ and ‘border’ discourse, the topography of war and violence, post-war settlement and reconciliation, and the location and negotiation of national, ethnic, religious, political and cultural identities. The book will be of particular interest to scholars and students of cultural studies, history, politics, Irish studies, Slavonic studies, area studies and literary studies.
