Download or read book Allah S Daughter written by Honoria Carrillo and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2016-08-25 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Allahs Daughter is a compilation of its authors memories, of all the important events in her life that helped shape her character since she was a small baby. Although the book was written as a memoir, it was not intended to tell the story of the authors life but rather express the truth about the ugly circumstances some religious groups are forced to face by member of opposing groups. In this book, you will find experiences that young children suffer at the hands of schoolmates, teachers, and even principals who disrespect the laws and commit abuses on the children, who cant defend themselves. The book also tries to show how having knowledge of the scriptures and not being afraid of confrontations can help to stop discrimination at school and at work. It demonstrates how, by fighting for your rights, you assert yourself and force others to respect you.

Download or read book The Protestant Bible Correctly Translated written by William Harwood and published by World Audience Inc. This book was released on 2017-07-21 with total page 800 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There has long been a need for a translation of the Judaeo-Christian Bible that did not deliberately mistranslate certain words and sentences for the purpose of concealing that the biblical authors' beliefs were quite different from those of modern Jews, Christians and Muslims. For example, "The LORD" is a falsification of the proper name Yahweh, a god like Zeus or Jupiter. But the most blatant fraud has been the rendering of the Hebrew word allahiym as the male proper name, "God." Allahiym is neither a proper name nor singular nor unisexual. Al means a god. The suffix -ah is a feminine singular inflection, so that allah means "goddess." The suffix -iym is a masculine plural inflection, making allahiym a dual-sex, generic plural, "male and female gods," or, in the common gender, "gods." This translation corrects such falsifications. Download or read book The Book of the Jihad of Ali ibn Tahir al Sulami d 1106 written by Niall Christie and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1105, six years after the first crusaders from Europe conquered Jerusalem, a Damascene Muslim jurisprudent named ’Ali ibn Tahir al-Sulami (d. 1106) publicly dictated an extended call to the military jihad (holy war) against the European invaders. Entitled Kitab al-Jihad (The Book of the Jihad), al-Sulami’s work both summoned his Muslim brethren to the jihad and instructed them in the manner in which it ought to be conducted, covering topics as diverse as who should fight and be fought, treatment of prisoners and plunder, and the need for participants to fight their own inner sinfulness before turning their efforts against the enemy. Al-Sulami’s text is vital for a complete understanding of the Muslim reaction to the crusades, providing the reader with the first contemporary record of Muslim preaching against the crusaders. However, until recently only a small part of the text has been studied by modern scholars, as it has remained for the most part an unedited manuscript. In this book Niall Christie provides a complete edition and the first full English translation of the extant sections (parts 2, 8, 9 and 12) of the manuscript of al-Sulami’s work, making it fully available to modern readers for the first time. These are accompanied by an introductory study exploring the techniques that the author uses to motivate his audience, the precedents that influenced his work, and possible directions for future study of the text. In addition, an appendix provides translations of jihad sermons by Ibn Nubata al-Fariqi (d. 985), a preacher from Asia Minor whose rhetorical style was highly influential in the development of al-Sulami’s work.
Download or read book God in the Qur an written by Jack Miles and published by Vintage. This book was released on 2019-10-22 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who is Allah? What does He ask of those who submit to His teachings? Pulitzer Prize-winner Jacke Miles gives us a deeply probing, revelatory portrait of the world’s second largest, fastest-growing and perhaps most tragically misunderstood religion. In doing so, Miles illuminates what is unique about Allah, His teachings, and His resolutely merciful temperament, and he thereby reveals that which is false, distorted, or simply absent from the popular conception of the heart of Islam. So, too, does Miles uncover the spiritual and scriptural continuity of the Islamic tradition with those of Judaism and Christianity, and the deep affinities among the three by setting passages from the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, and the Qur’an side by side. In the spirit of his two previous books, God and Christ, and with his characteristic sensitivity, perspicacity and prodigious command of the subject, Miles calls for us all to read another’s scriptures with the same understanding and accommodating eye that we turn upon our own.

Book excerpt: In one of my books - "Who Moved the Stone?" I had promised to deal with the anomaly, where believers were reading simple English, yet were so conditioned that they were understanding exactly the opposite of what they were reading. The following story from real life will not only illustrate the point but will also elucidate our present case - "Resurrection or Resuscitation" I was about to leave for the Transvaal (South Africa) on a lecture tour, so I phoned my friend Hafiz Yusuf Dadoo of Standerton, informing him of my impending visit, as well as to inquire whether he needed anything from Durban. He said that as he was taking up Hebrew, I should try and obtain a Bible in the Hebrew language with a translation in English side by side. I went to the "Bible House" in Durban.

Book excerpt: All praises to the Sustainer of the worlds, and grace, honor and salutations on the Chief of Apostles and Seal of Prophets, Muhammad, his family, companions and those who followed him in an excellent fashion and invited mankind towards Allah, till the Day of Resurrection. This is a reality which can be stated without any ambiguity and Exaggeration, that in the Islamic world of today the most power full, use full and all-encompassing effort, is the struggle of the Tablighi Jamaat whose center is situated at the Tablighi Markaz Nizamuddin,Delhi(India). The scope of this effort and its impact is not restricted to the India subcontinent, or Asia, but extends to many continents and to a host of Islamic and Non- Islamic States. The history if such campaigns and revolutionary or reformative movements shows that, after passage of a period of time,or when the scope of the effort enlarge greatly ( specially when, by means of it, the attainment of certain advantages and leadership become apparent)then such weaknesses, unwanted objectives and neglect of the original goals set in, which reduce or even totally wipe out the true influence of the work.
