Book Live Your Sunshine

Download or read book Live Your Sunshine written by Lesley MacCulloch and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2017-07-11 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are brought up in a world where living in fear is both encouraged and accepted. Its normal to feel doubt, to feel guilt, to feel anger, to feel a failure. Its normal to lack enjoyment, self-confidence, and fulfilment. Its normal to live our lives according to what other people want of us, or what we think other people want of us, and to feel that, in a world where we constantly criticise and compare, were simply not good enough. But good enough for what? And in whose view? Its time to turn that thinking around. You are good enough! You were born with confidence and a healthy self-esteem. You were born to smile more. You were born to feel ease, to feel well, and to listen to your heart and your intuition. And you can reconnect with that you. You can live true to yourself, and you can feel contentment, joy, and harmony. You can find peace, acceptance, and inner strength. You are perfect, human, worthy. You are special. You are you, and the world needs you. Free the spirit thats still burning deep inside you, and shine! You are and you can!

Book Caves and Karst of the Greenbrier Valley in West Virginia

Download or read book Caves and Karst of the Greenbrier Valley in West Virginia written by William B. White and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-11-20 with total page 411 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The focus of this book is on the more than 2000 caves of the Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia of which the 14 with lengths greater than 10 km have an aggregate length of 639 km. The major caves form the core part of sub-basins which drain to big springs and ultimately to the Greenbrier River. Individual chapters of this book describe each of the major caves and its associated drainage basin. The caves are formed in the Mississippian Greenbrier Limestone in a setting of undulating gentle folds. Fractures, lineaments and confining layers within the limestone are the main controlling factors. The caves underlie an extensive sinkhole plain which may relate to a major erosion surface. The caves are habitat for both aquatic and terrestrial organisms which are cataloged and described as are the paleontological remains found in some of the caves. The sinkhole plain of the Greenbrier karst and the underlying complex of cave systems are the end result of at least a ten million year history of landscape evolution which can be traced through the evolving sequence of cave passages and which is described in this book.

Book excerpt: "Life sometimes is a struggle. We have to do what we can to survive. Sometimes we make foolish decisions in life. We all have been there. At times we feel hopeless, unable to persevere. The one thing I've learned is that you have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and keep going. Life is full of uncertainties; we have to expect the unexpected. "Being a child of abuse can sometimes be overwhelming. It's really hard when no one listens to you, and there is no one to confirm that you are abused. You feel lost, and the more you deny what happened, the more lost you become. I am a child of abuse. In order to deal with the pain, I created another world for myself. Later I would use drugs to escape my pain. As an adult I felt so much shame for what happened to me, that I retreated into a world of drugs and prostitution. This is my story." -------- Jasmine S.
