Book Basic Neutrosophic Algebraic Structures and Their Application to Fuzzy and Neutrosophic Models

Download or read book Basic Neutrosophic Algebraic Structures and Their Application to Fuzzy and Neutrosophic Models written by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on 2004-01-01 with total page 149 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For the involvement of uncertainty of varying degrees, when the total of the membership degree exceeds one or less than one, then the newer mathematical paradigm shift, Fuzzy Theory proves appropriate. For the past two or three decades, Fuzzy Theory has become the potent tool to study and analyze uncertainty involved in all problems. But, many real world problems also abound with the concept of indeterminacy. In this book, the new, powerful tool of neutrosophy that deals with indeterminacy is utilized. Innovative neutrosophic models are described. The theory of neutrosophic graphs is introduced and applied to fuzzy and neutrosophic models.Neutrosophic Logic and Neutrosophic Set (generalizations of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic and Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set respectively) became strong tools for applications.

Book The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Number Theory

Download or read book The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Number Theory written by Stefan Andrus Burr and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1992 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Number theory is one of the oldest and noblest branches of mathematics; indeed, it was already ancient in the time of Euclid...for almost all of its history it has seemed to be among the purest branches of mathematics. It is only within the last few decades that a large number of applications have been encountered, at least by the mathematical community. The applications to cryptology are now famous; but it is not as well known that number theory has found an enormous number and variety of real-world applications in many different fields." - From the Preface This book is based on the AMS Short Course, The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Number Theory, held in Orono, Maine, in August 1991. This Short Course provided some views into the great breadth of application of number theory outside cryptology and highlighted the power and applicability of number-theoretic ideas. Because number theory is one of the most accessible areas of mathematics, this book will appeal to a general mathematical audience as well as to researchers in other areas of science and engineering who wish to learn how number theory is being applied outside of mathematics. All of the chapters are written by leading specialists in number theory and provides excellent introduction to various applications.

Book Difference Algebra

    Book Details:
  • Author : Alexander Levin
  • Publisher : Springer Science & Business Media
  • Release : 2008-04-19
  • ISBN : 1402069472
  • Pages : 528 pages

Download or read book Difference Algebra written by Alexander Levin and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-04-19 with total page 528 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Difference algebra grew out of the study of algebraic difference equations with coefficients from functional fields. The first stage of this development of the theory is associated with its founder, J.F. Ritt (1893-1951), and R. Cohn, whose book Difference Algebra (1965) remained the only fundamental monograph on the subject for many years. Nowadays, difference algebra has overgrown the frame of the theory of ordinary algebraic difference equations and appears as a rich theory with applications to the study of equations in finite differences, functional equations, differential equations with delay, algebraic structures with operators, group and semigroup rings. The monograph is intended for graduate students and researchers in difference and differential algebra, commutative algebra, ring theory, and algebraic geometry. The book is self-contained; it requires no prerequisites other than the knowledge of basic algebraic concepts and a mathematical maturity of an advanced undergraduate.

Book Combinatorial Structures in Algebra and Geometry

Download or read book Combinatorial Structures in Algebra and Geometry written by Dumitru I. Stamate and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-09-01 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This proceedings volume presents selected, peer-reviewed contributions from the 26th National School on Algebra, which was held in Constanța, Romania, on August 26-September 1, 2018. The works cover three fields of mathematics: algebra, geometry and discrete mathematics, discussing the latest developments in the theory of monomial ideals, algebras of graphs and local positivity of line bundles. Whereas interactions between algebra and geometry go back at least to Hilbert, the ties to combinatorics are much more recent and are subject of immense interest at the forefront of contemporary mathematics research. Transplanting methods between different branches of mathematics has proved very fruitful in the past – for example, the application of fixed point theorems in topology to solving nonlinear differential equations in analysis. Similarly, combinatorial structures, e.g., Newton-Okounkov bodies, have led to significant advances in our understanding of the asymptotic properties of line bundles in geometry and multiplier ideals in algebra. This book is intended for advanced graduate students, young scientists and established researchers with an interest in the overlaps between different fields of mathematics. A volume for the 24th edition of this conference was previously published with Springer under the title "Multigraded Algebra and Applications" (ISBN 978-3-319-90493-1).

Book Applications of Algebraic Topology

Download or read book Applications of Algebraic Topology written by S. Lefschetz and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph is based, in part, upon lectures given in the Princeton School of Engineering and Applied Science. It presupposes mainly an elementary knowledge of linear algebra and of topology. In topology the limit is dimension two mainly in the latter chapters and questions of topological invariance are carefully avoided. From the technical viewpoint graphs is our only requirement. However, later, questions notably related to Kuratowski's classical theorem have demanded an easily provided treatment of 2-complexes and surfaces. January 1972 Solomon Lefschetz 4 INTRODUCTION The study of electrical networks rests upon preliminary theory of graphs. In the literature this theory has always been dealt with by special ad hoc methods. My purpose here is to show that actually this theory is nothing else than the first chapter of classical algebraic topology and may be very advantageously treated as such by the well known methods of that science. Part I of this volume covers the following ground: The first two chapters present, mainly in outline, the needed basic elements of linear algebra. In this part duality is dealt with somewhat more extensively. In Chapter III the merest elements of general topology are discussed. Graph theory proper is covered in Chapters IV and v, first structurally and then as algebra. Chapter VI discusses the applications to networks. In Chapters VII and VIII the elements of the theory of 2-dimensional complexes and surfaces are presented.

Book Topics in Galois Fields

Download or read book Topics in Galois Fields written by Dirk Hachenberger and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-09-29 with total page 785 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph provides a self-contained presentation of the foundations of finite fields, including a detailed treatment of their algebraic closures. It also covers important advanced topics which are not yet found in textbooks: the primitive normal basis theorem, the existence of primitive elements in affine hyperplanes, and the Niederreiter method for factoring polynomials over finite fields. We give streamlined and/or clearer proofs for many fundamental results and treat some classical material in an innovative manner. In particular, we emphasize the interplay between arithmetical and structural results, and we introduce Berlekamp algebras in a novel way which provides a deeper understanding of Berlekamp's celebrated factorization algorithm. The book provides a thorough grounding in finite field theory for graduate students and researchers in mathematics. In view of its emphasis on applicable and computational aspects, it is also useful for readers working in information and communication engineering, for instance, in signal processing, coding theory, cryptography or computer science.
