Conformément aux programmes, on débute par un exposé sur les nombres complexes, avec la question de la mesure des angles orientés, sur la géométrie élémentaire du plan, avec le produit scalaire, le produit mixte ainsi que leurs applications à l'étude des droites et cercles, et sur la géométrie dans l'espace avec le produit scalaire, le produit vectoriel, le produit mixte et leurs applications à l'étude des plans, droites et sphères. Après avoir ensuite introduit quelques notions à propos des ensembles, des applications et des structures élémentaires, on passe à l'étude des entiers et de l'arithmétique dans Z, des polynômes et de l'arithmétique dans K [X], et des fractions rationnelles. L'algèbre linéaire, avec la théorie des espaces vectoriels, notamment en dimension finie, des applications linéaires, des matrices, des déterminants, des systèmes linéaires, occupe une part importante de l'ouvrage, qui s'achève par l'étude des espaces euclidiens, puis des automorphismes orthogonaux et des isométries du plan et de l'espace.
