Book Aiming for the Pinnacle

Download or read book Aiming for the Pinnacle written by Seamus Scanlan and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2007-11 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Never before have so many had the opportunity to achieve their potential. In this groundbreaking presentation, Scanlan offers an arresting analysis of coaching and suggests that, without a thorough understanding of personal growth, and a commitment to their own growth, a coach's capacity to add value will be limited. Indeed, he posits that, in the absence of these, a coach will likely collude with their clients as they repeat old patterns with a new look. To move to our full potential we need to open ourselves to a process of transformation, perennial in its nature but needing culturally relevant expression. Scanlan suggests that whilst this process is not for the faint-hearted, it will strengthen us emotionally and prepare us for incremental steps of challenge and empowerment. This book will invite you to open new doors to your consciousness and to new understandings of your potential. It will invite you to move closer to the gift of who you really are - to aim for the pinnacle of your humanity

This book was released on 2016-12-07 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The height of a man, the level of his greatness, and the end point of his destination, all depend on his decisions and determinations to attain such heights. Lots of good people do not just avoid some tasks but equally get stuck along the way, only because of the fear of risks. When a man becomes so afraid of risking to have, he ends up having nothing. There has never been any journey without the pressure of fear. Ability to subdue and overcome such pressures, guarantees success. The fact that no one in your family, community and kindred, has been able to hit an expected height in life, brings this unconscious questions.. What if I fail trying? How on earth am I supposed to start, seeing no one has done this before? What if I make mistakes, who will I ask for directives? Won't I be laughed at, if I don't make it finally? These and more likely questions keep disturbing our minds. Not that, these questions are not necessary, after all, not asking questions before embarking on any journey often leads us to endless tunnels. The questions are good starts, but what motivates and propels the questions is most important. Majority of the times, we end up not finding answers to the questions for proper continuity. Instead we quit the project, abandon the journey, avoid the task and intentionally refuse to do what's expected of us. This only happens because of fear of risks. When the fear of risks is dealt with, great success is achieved. Pinnacle is the most successful and most admired part of a point or achievement. AIMING FOR THE PINNACLE, as instructed by the author in this book, is letting us know that until you get to the highest point of your carrier and achievement, don't stop. If the likes of Thomas Edison, Martin Luther King(Jr), Bill Gates, The Wright brothers(Orville and Wilbur), Henry ford, etc; did not face and overcome their fears, the heights and levels they achieved in life wouldn't have been possible. This book has ten chapters. Each section, having an entirely different message from the rest. The messages contained in each chapter are strong bullets that can't be avoided in the journey to the pinnacle. Giving without expecting returns; Early preparations; Avoidance of postponements; Taking more of actions; Being thoughtful; Rejecting comfort zones - are some of the amours contained in this book that any one traveling to the land of greatness must wear. Everyone wants to be great, but no one is ready for the risks involved. My desire is that as you read through this piece, you will not only discover the secrets of greatness but will also adhere to the compulsory instructions on how to hit the pinnacle of your choice.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you ever feel so overwhelmed by the idea God has a purpose for your life you become immobilized by fear? Do you wonder how badly you can mess life up and still fulfill this purpose? God has a plan for your life. This simple phrase, meant to encourage, so often scares us into idleness. We don't know what to do, so instead we do nothing and fear what will happen if we fail. In Getting Past the Start, author Becca Ramirez encourages Christians to be bold in their faith and run the race that God has placed before them with confidence. Through topics like the gifts of the spirit and the will of God, Ramirez shows we are more prepared to handle this life than we previously believed. She discusses realizing the potential that God has placed within us, allowing him to take control of that potential, and making sure that change becomes a reality. Through scriptures and other sources, Getting Past the Start focuses on getting out of the blocks and running the race before us rather than watching from the sidelines. It tells us to overcome the fear that has paralyzed us and recognize God has equipped us to do all we are called to do.
