Book The Strange Story Of Ahrinziman

Download or read book The Strange Story Of Ahrinziman written by Anita F. Silvani and published by Jazzybee Verlag. This book was released on 2014-06-16 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Man has ever striven to lift the black, mysterious veil that hangs between mortality and immortality. Instinctively or intuitively he realizes that earth-life, his first conscious existence in his upward career in the great cycle of necessity, is only a preparation for some higher, infinitely grander plane of life and he cannot, will not, stifle his longings to learn of that higher plane. As this knowledge is not "forbidden fruit," provided he comply with the conditions necessary to obtain it, it sometimes happens that some spirit that has "climbed far up the heights of life" in the spirit world returns. Such a spirit was Ahrinziman, whose life is told by himself in this book. Its hero was a Persian prince and, for a brief period, ruler of his nation. Then, 2,300 years ago, he fell by the swords of the soldiers of another claimant of the throne. From his father, Artaxerxes Longimanus, he had inherited the kingly stature, the imperious, powerful will and, alas, the royal vices and passions. From his mother, a Greek slave, he inherited rare spiritual gifts, especially clairvoyance and the power of leaving his body and journeying into the astral world. From her he also inherited a germ of true nobility of character the sprang into life, blossomed and bore rich fruit centuries after he awoke to life on the astral plane. His life, as he recounts its chapters, shows as vividly as words can show, how we live not for time but eternity. How if our deeds have been evil, if we have lived only for selfish purposes, if we have strove only for uur own happiness regardless of others, if we have wrecked the lives and happiness of others in order to bring a few brief moments of imagined jov to our own, we have but accumulated a debt that we must pay to the uttermost farthing before one gleam of sunshine can reach us in the life beyond.

Book Ancient Mysteries And Modern Masonry

Download or read book Ancient Mysteries And Modern Masonry written by Charles H. Vail and published by Jazzybee Verlag. This book was released on 2013-10-24 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of these lectures is to consider the origin and nature of the Ancient Mysteries and Modern Masonry and to show the relation which they bear one to the other. Freemasonry deals largely with the morals and symbols of the Mysteries of Antiquity, and originally was one of the channels of Ancient Wisdom. There were a few among the founders of Modern Masonry who possessed the Royal Secret, or, at least, had a knowledge of its existence, and, if the key has been lost, the Mason, as Heir-apparent of the Old Wisdom, should be foremost in the search for its recovery. All agree that the Masonic symbols and traditions are of the greatest antiquity, and can be traced to the far East--to the earliest civilization, from which time and place they have spoken in nature's language to all peoples of the earth. We are more and more convinced that this picture language of our ritual contains a most complete philosophy--a knowledge embracing the eternal verities of the universe, and that these symbols were designed by the Initiates of old to preserve and convey that Ancient Wisdom to the present and future generations. Though empires and dynastic continents have appeared and passed away, these ancient symbols, hewn in rock-cut temples and monuments, have served to convey the Great Secret from ages past and will continue its record as long as this part of the universe remains.

Book excerpt: THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! "I had the choice to come back ... or not. I chose to return when I realized that 'heaven' is a state, not a place" In this truly inspirational memoir, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down—overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth . . . and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks—without a trace of cancer in her body! Within this enhanced e-book, Anita recounts—in words and on video—stories of her childhood in Hong Kong, her challenge to establish her career and find true love, as well as how she eventually ended up in that hospital bed where she defied all medical knowledge. In "Dying to Be Me," Anita Freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, "being love," and the true magnificence of each and every human being!

Book The Hidden Side of Things

Download or read book The Hidden Side of Things written by Charles Webster Leadbeater and published by BoD - Books on Demand. This book was released on 2023-01-31 with total page 502 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: " The term ` occultism' is one which has been much misunderstood. In the mind of the ignorant it was, even recently, synonymous with magic, and its students were supposed to be practitioners of the black art, veiled in flowing robes of scarlet covered with cabalistic signs, sitting amidst uncanny surroundings with a black cat as a familiar, compounding unholy decoctions by the aid of satanic evocations. Even now, and among those whom education has raised above such superstition as this, there still remains a good deal of misapprehension. For them its derivation from the Latin word occultus ought to explain at once that it is the science of the hidden; but they often regard it contemptuously as nonsensical and unpractical, as connected with dreams and fortune-telling, with hysteria and necromancy, with the search for the elixir of life and the philosopher' s stone. Students, who should know better, perpetually speak as though the hidden side of things were intentionally concealed, as though knowledge with regard to it ought to be in the hands of all men, but was being deliberately withheld by the caprice or selfishness of a few; whereas the fact is that nothing is or can be hidden from us except by our own limitations, and that for every man as he evolves the world grows wider and wider, because he is able to see more and more of its grandeur and its loveliness..."

Book My Descent Into Death

Download or read book My Descent Into Death written by Howard Storm and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2005-02-15 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Not since Betty Eadie’s Embraced by the Light has a personal account of a Near-Death Experience (NDE) been so utterly different from most others—or nearly as compelling. "This is a book you devour from cover to cover, and pass on to others. This is a book you will quote in your daily conversation. Storm was meant to write it and we were meant to read it." —from the foreword by Anne Rice In the thirty years since Raymond Moody’s Life After Life appeared, a familiar pattern of NDEs has emerged: suddenly floating over one’s own body, usually in a hospital setting, then a sudden hurtling through a tunnel of light toward a presence of love. Not so in Howard Storm’s case. Storm, an avowed atheist, was awaiting emergency surgery when he realized that he was at death’s door. Storm found himself out of his own body, looking down on the hospital room scene below. Next, rather than going “toward the light,” he found himself being torturously dragged to excruciating realms of darkness and death, where he was physically assaulted by monstrous beings of evil. His description of his pure terror and torture is unnerving in its utter originality and convincing detail. Finally, drawn away from death and transported to the realm of heaven, Storm met angelic beings as well as the God of Creation. In this fascinating account, Storm tells of his “life review,” his conversation with God, even answers to age-old questions such as why the Holocaust was allowed to take place. Storm was sent back to his body with a new knowledge of the purpose of life here on earth. This book is his message of hope.

Book The Near Death Experience

Download or read book The Near Death Experience written by Lee W. Bailey and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-06-17 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Near Death Experience: A Reader is the most comprehensive collection of NDE cases and interpretations ever assembled. This book encompasses a broad range of disciplines: psychological researchers discuss cognitive models and Jungian theories of meaningful archetypal phenomena; the biological perspectivedescribes how brains near death may produce soothing endorphins, optical illusions, and convincing hallucinations. Philosophers present empirical analyses and images in archetypal theories, and the symbolic language of comparative phenomenological theories. Christian, Jewish and Mormon responses to NDEs outline the religious perspective, and the mystical and spiritual interpretations of NDEs are also explored.

Book excerpt: "This book is about dying, not about death. We are always dying a big, always giving things up, always having things taken away. Is there a person alive who isn't really curious about what dying is for them? Is there a person alive who wouldn't like to go to their dying full of excitement, without fear and without morbidity? This books tells you how." -- Front cover.
