Download or read book Futuristic Manufacturing written by Mithilesh K. Dikshit and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2023-03-27 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Increased industrial capacity, manufacturing output, and manufacturing technology all contribute significantly to a country's GDP. Manufacturing is the foundation of industrial production, so improving its methods and infrastructure is crucial for progress. Recent years have seen the introduction of a wide range of energy- and resource-efficient, environmentally friendly, and occupationally safe manufacturing techniques, and this book focuses on these latest techniques, as well as continuous advancement, in order to meet current challenges. The book is divided into three sections: (1) subtractive manufacturing, (2) additive manufacturing, and (3) the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing. It discusses micromaching, metal-based additive manufacturing, polymer-based additive manufacturing, hybrid additive manufacturing, and finally artificial intelligence in manufacturing. Futuristic Manufacturing: Perpetual Advancement and Research Challenges connects modern manufacturing methods and emerging trends in the industry. It adds a thorough examination of modern manufacturing techniques and modifications that may be implemented in the future, and is an excellent resource of information for undergraduate and graduate students in manufacturing.
Download or read book Nonlinear Dynamics of Production Systems written by Günter Radons and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2006-03-06 with total page 647 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This reference work provides a comprehensive insight into past developments in the application of non-linear dynamics, such as production systems in the manufacturing and process engineering, mechanical engineering and plant construction and automation technology. As such, it is the first publication to document the successful implementation of non-linear dynamics into current tasks or problems of engineering thus far unsolved. The interdisciplinary team of contributors from research and industry establishes ties between mechanical methods of manufacturing and new methods reaching the dynamics of production lines and complete production systems.

Download or read book Manufacturing Processes 2 written by Fritz Klocke and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-04-21 with total page 452 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The future of manufacturing companies depends largely on their ability to adapt to swiftly changing global conditions. These are exemplified by international com- tition, rapidly growing intercommunication and the increased significance of en- ronmental issues [KLOC98a, ENGE02]. Precision machining with geometrically undefined cutting edges represents a key production engineering technology with high efficiency, security and machining quality. DIN norm 8589 subsumes within the group “machining with geometrically - defined cutting edges” the following material removal manufacturing processes: grinding, honing, lapping, free abrasive grinding and abrasive blast cutting. - chining is carried out in these production methods by means of more or less - regularly formed grains composed of hard substances brought into contact with the material. Of all methods understood as machining with geometrically undefined cutting edges, only grinding, honing and lapping can, strictly speaking, be considered p- cision machining. Free abrasive grinding and abrasive blast cutting, also treated in this book, represent a special group, as they generally cannot bring about geom- rical change in the material.
