This book reveals some of the basic aspects of the message of the Bible that are absolutes and the potential for life available to all of mankind. You have a fantastic potential locked within your inner man. Do you know how to release it? The release of this potential begins with your awareness of the nature and potential of your inner man. This book reveals some of the basic principles of being and manifestation and the potential of your life. It will help you recognize that potential and lead you into a greater awareness of your inner man. Your heart controls your destiny. In order to manifest your potential, it is necessary for you to discern your inner man. Your true personal identity, your true self, and potential is established within your spirit man. The orientation of your heart and its attitudes determine whether, and the degree to which, you will release this potential. Your perception of reality is a primary factor in the process of releasing your potential. Your perspective of reality determines the release of your potential. This perspective is established through your frame of reference according to your belief system and base of understanding. From the perspective of your self-image, your belief system in conjunction with your base of understanding operates your consciousness to perceive reality. The condition of your heart determines your destiny! The potential of your life is established in your spirit man. The root of being that manifests the spiritual potential of your life is established in your heart through awareness of it. Do you know your heart? Do you know how it functions? As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Your potential manifests through the self-image in your heart, as you understand whom you are and how to reach your potential. Do you know how to tap into the potential of your life? This book will help you discern and manifest the potential of your life. As you read this book, you will understand more about your unique personal identity, the orientation of your heart, and the flow of awareness within your inner man. Your frame of reference and base of understanding determines how you will discern your potential and release it into your life. You will become aware of the person of your inner man and understand how to discern your potential and perceive reality through the window of your life. This book is available in two volumes. Volume One is entitled A JOURNEY INTO LIFE. This book is Volume Two.

  • Pages : 200 pages

Book excerpt: This book is a collection of Sri Chinmoy’s poems selected from his entire body of poetic work that spans over six decades. He started writing poetry from the age of thirteen and continued writing even in the last year of his life. As a child he was thoroughly trained in the craft of the poetic art. All his early poems were written from within the poetic restraints of meter and rhyme. Only later in his poetic career he wrote in free verse. Speaking of his poetry, Sri Chinmoy said, “Throughout my poetry-journey, my poetry-tree has cherished various branches: philosophy, prayer, religion, spirituality, my love of Nature’s beauty, my love of word-making, which the English language indulgently allows me to explore, and my abiding love, concern and hope for this world of ours.” Because of the shear originality, sincerity, honesty, and truth in his poems, the cadences of Sri Chinmoy’s poetry, like the poet himself, will travel through time for centuries and centuries to come offering hope, strength and salvation to many an earnest traveler in his or her journey through life. Book Review: "These inspiring poems, so rich in wisdom, spirituality and love, remind us Sri Chinmoy lives on cherished in our hearts and history." -- Jason McManus, Editor-in-chief, Time Warner publications.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2018 Christian Book Award finalist (New Author category) "Too many Christians I know have grown bored and frustrated with just 'believing' in Jesus. They've settled for salvation someday, not realizing they can experience a fuller life today." Many Christians share a secret. Few of us dare to speak it out loud, because doing so would feel like taking a slap at God--and it wouldn't make us look good either. Yet this secret is affecting us painfully on the inside every single day. Here it is: Believing in Jesus has left us disappointed. At one point we were thrilled and hopeful about living a life of trusting in Christ. But over time our experience has failed to live up to our expectations or make the difference we thought it would. So we've begun to think: "This can't be all there is to being a Christian." If that's what you've been thinking . . . you're right. No Easy Jesus holds the key to moving forward when you're bored, disillusioned, and beaten down by faith-as-usual. It's a clarion challenge to wake up each day and choose Jesus all over again; to make the tough, gritty choices that align your way with His and lead to true fullness of life. Because when you decided to follow Jesus, you didn't sign up for what was easiest--you signed up for what was best.

Book Absolute Music and the Construction of Meaning

Download or read book Absolute Music and the Construction of Meaning written by Daniel Chua and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1999-11-25 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is born out of two contradictions: first, it explores the making of meaning in a musical form that was made to lose its meaning at the turn of the nineteenth century; secondly, it is a history of a music that claims to have no history - absolute music. The book therefore writes against that notion of absolute music which tends to be the paradigm for most musicological and analytical studies. It is concerned not so much with what music is, but with why and how meaning is constructed in instrumental music and what structures of knowledge need to be in place for such meaning to exist. From the thought of Vincenzo Galilei to that of Theodore Adorno, Daniel Chua suggests that instrumental music has always been a critical and negative force in modernity, even with its nineteenth-century apotheosis as 'absolute music'.
